Growth of CeCo-MOF in dendritic mesoporous organosilica as highly efficient antioxidant for enhanced thermal stability of silicone rubber

High-efficient rubber antioxidants for enhanced heat resistance without compromising mechanical properties remain an enormous and long-term challenge for the rubber ***,we employed the in-situ growth of Ce-doped Co-metal-organic framework(Ce Co-MOF)in dendritic mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles(DMONs@Ce Co-MOF,denoted as DCCM)to prepare a novel antioxidant that exhibit outstanding thermal *** mesoporous organosilica nanoparticles(DMONs)effectively alleviated the incompatibility of Ce Co-MOF in the polymer matrix,and the effective scavenging of free radicals was attributed to the various oxidation states of metal ions in Ce ***,by adding only0.5 phr(parts per hundred of rubber)of DMONs@Ce Co-MOF to silicone rubber,(SR),the retention rate of tensile strength increased from 37.3%to 61.6%after aging 72 h at 250℃,and the retention rate of elongation at break of DCCM/SR1 composites reached 68%,which was 5.43 times of *** strategy of anchoring MOFs on the surface of silica also provides a viable method for preparing effective compound functionalized rubber antioxidant.

Non-centrosymmetric material systems can generate spontaneous photocurrent without a p-n junction under uniform illumination, which is known as the bulk photovoltaic effect（BPVE）. It has garnered significant attention for its application potential in the fields of energy harvesting and photoelectric detection. In this study, we report the BPVE observed in twodimensional ferroelectric α-In2Se3multilayer flakes. The reversal in spontaneous photocurrent polarity is observed and associated with the out-of-plane ferroelectric polarization direction. The spontaneous photocurrent originating from the shift current is also polarization-sensitive. The amplitude of spontaneous photocurrent is further increased by one order of magnitude through vacuum annealing. Our results provide a further application potential for new-generation photodetectors based on BPVE with low power consumption and multi-dimensional optoelectronic detection.

Layered rare-earth metal oxides,harnessing the dual properties of oxides and two-dimensional layered materials,exhibit remarkable thermal stability and quantum confinement ***,this work adopts the first-principles calculation combined with the Boltzmann transport theory to predict the thermoelectric properties of NdZnSbO *** coexistence of weak interlayer van der Waals interactions,robust intralayer ionic bonding,and partial covalent bonding leads to remarkable bonding heterogeneity,which engenders pronounced phonon scattering and imposes constraints on thermal transport along the out-of-plane *** weakened chemical bonds induced by the antibonding states,together with the rattling-like behavior of the Zn atom,culminate in the profound anharmonicity in the layered NdZnSbO *** weakening bond and heavy element contribute to the softness of phonon modes,which significantly diminishes the phonon group *** redistribution-dominated four-phonon scattering process spans a large optical gap,which effectively reduces the lattice thermal *** NdZnSbO compound exhibits direct semiconductor characteristic with a bandgap of 0.73 e V by adopting the Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof(HSE06)functional in combination with spin–orbit coupling(SOC)*** multi-valley feature of NdZnSbO compound augur favorably for band degeneracy,thus amplifying the power ***,an optimal figure-of-merit(ZT)of 3.40 at 900 K is achieved for the n-type NdZnSbO *** present study delves deeply insights into the origins for the low thermal conductivity of NdZnSbO compound and proposes an optimization scheme to enhance overall thermoelectric performance.

Metaheuristics are commonly used in various fields,including real-life problem-solving and engineering appli*** present work introduces a novel metaheuristic algorithm named the Artificial Circulatory System Algorithm(ACSA).The control of the circulatory system inspires it and mimics the behavior of hormonal and neural regulators involved in this *** work initially evaluates the effectiveness of the suggested approach on 16 two-dimensional test functions,identified as classical benchmark *** method was subsequently examined by application to 12 CEC 2022 benchmark problems of different ***,the paper evaluates ACSA in comparison to 64 metaheuristic methods that are derived from different approaches,including evolutionary,human,physics,and ***,a sequence of statistical tests was undertaken to examine the superiority of the suggested algorithm in comparison to the 7 most widely used algorithms in the existing *** results show that the ACSA strategy can quickly reach the global optimum,avoid getting trapped in local optima,and effectively maintain a balance between exploration and *** outperformed 42 algorithms statistically,according to post-hoc *** also outperformed 9 algorithms *** study concludes that ACSA offers competitive solutions in comparison to popüler methods.

This paper addresses the problem of a viscoelastic Euler-Bernoulli beam under the influence of a constant velocity moving mass and different types of *** types of boundary conditions are considered:pinned-pinned,fixed-pinned,fixed-free(or cantilever),and *** considered include lumped masses,dampers,and *** modal decomposition method is employed to derive the equation of motion of the beam,for which an analytical closed-form expression of the dynamic vibration response is *** proposed method enables the study of the effect of a single appendage or a combination of the three types of appendages on the non-dimensional dynamic response of the *** examples are presented to illustrate the effects of these appendages and compare them to the reference cases of a beam with no *** results demonstrate the importance of considering these parameters in the design of *** proposed method is compared to other techniques in the literature and found to be advantageous due to its direct *** method also offers a versatile tool for investigating various configurations,aiding in engineering design and structural analysis for which establishing a precise prediction of beam vibrations is crucial.

Plant cell wall(CW)-like soft materials,referred to as artificial CWs,are composites of assembled polymers containing micro-/nanoparticles or fibers/fibrils that are designed to mimic the composition,structure,and mechanics of plant ***-like materials have recently emerged to test hypotheses pertaining to the intricate structure–property relationships of native plant CWs or to fabricate functional ***,research on plant CWs and CW-like materials is reviewed by distilling key studies on biomimetic composites primarily composed of plant polysaccharides,including cellulose,pectin,and hemicellulose,as well as organic polymers like ***-and nanofabrication of plant CW-like composites,characterization techniques,and in silico studies are reviewed,with a brief overview of current and potential ***-/nanofabrication approaches include bacterial growth and impregnation,layer-by-layer assembly,film casting,3-dimensional templating microcapsules,and particle *** characterization techniques are necessary for the comprehensive mechanical,chemical,morphological,and structural analyses of plant CWs and CW-like ***-like materials demonstrate versatility in real-life applications,including biomass conversion,pulp and paper,food science,construction,catalysis,and reaction *** review seeks to facilitate the rational design and thorough characterization of plant CW-mimetic materials,with the goal of advancing the development of innovative soft materials and elucidating the complex structure–property relationships inherent in native CWs.

Battery safety is influenced by various factors,with thermal runaway being one of the most significant *** most studies have concentrated on developing one-time,self-activating mechanism for thermal protection,such as temperature-responsive electrodes,and thermal-shutdown separators,these methods only provide irreversible ***,reversible temperature-sensitive electrolytes have emerged as promising alternatives,offering both thermo-reversibility and self-protective ***,further research is crucial to fully understand these thermal-shutdown *** this study,we propose lower critical solution temperature(LCST) phase behavior poly(benzyl methacrylate)/imidazolium-based ionic liquid mixtures to prepare temperature-sensitive electrolytes that provide reversible thermal shutdown protection of *** electrolyte features an appropriate protection temperature(～105℃) and responds quickly within a 1 min at 105℃,causing cells to hardly discharge as the voltage suddenly drops to 3.38 V,and providing efficient thermal shutdown protection within 30 *** cooling back to room temperature,the battery regains its original ***,the electrolyte exhibits excellent cycling stability with the capacity retention of the battery is 91.6% after 500 *** work provides a viable solution for preventing batteries from thermal runaway triggered by overheating.

The silk gland of the silkworm Bombyx mori serves as a valuable model for investigating the morphological structure and physiological functions of *** studies have demonstrated the notable regulatory role of let-7 microRNA in the silk gland,but its specific molecular mechanism remains to be elucidated across different segments of this *** this study,we further investigated the functional mechanism of let-7 in the middle silk gland(MSG).The MSG of a let-7 knockout strain was analyzed using a combined proteomic and metabolomic technique,revealing the enrichment of differential proteins and metabolites in the DNA synthesis and energy metabolism *** was identified as a novel target gene of let-7 in the MSG,and its downregulation inhibited the proliferation of BmN4-SID1 cells,which is exactly opposite to the role of let-7 in these ***/Cas9 genome editing and transgenic technologies were employed to manipulate BmCentrin in the *** of BmCentrin led to severe MSG atrophy,whereas the overexpression of BmCentrin resulted in beaded *** measurements of these knockout or overexpression strains revealed significant changes in the expression levels of sericin protein genes,the weight of the cocoon and the mechanical properties of the *** the biological role of BmCentrin in the silk gland offers valuable insights for elucidating the molecular mechanisms by which let-7 controls silk gland development and silk protein synthesis in the silkworm.
