This study focuses on tuffaceous clastic rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Qingshuihe Formation in the southern margin of Junggar *** aims to explore the influence of sedimentation and parent rock on this kind of reservoir *** results show that the tuffaceous components formed by the denudation of ultramafic and mafic rocks can transform into chlorite coating or hematite,while those from intermediate rock denudation can be dissolved or transformed into *** facies and lithofacies are essential in controlling the evolutionary result of tuffaceous ***-supported medium conglomerate and grain-supported medium-fine conglomerate that developed in the fan delta plain,with a closed original geochemical systems,have been in the oxidizing environment for a long *** tuffaceous matrices mainly transforms into hematite or *** minerals occupy the primary pores and are difficult to dissolve by felsic fluids,which inhibits the development of high-quality *** grain-supported sandy fine conglomerate developed in the fan delta front was in the underwater reductive environment with an open original geochemical *** tuffaceous matrices not only can transform into chlorite coating to strengthen the particle's compaction resistance,but also can be fully dissolved,which promotes the formation of high-quality reservoirs.

Pore-scale investigation of forced imbibition in porous rocks through interface curvature and pore topology analysis

Forced imbibition,the invasion of a wetting fluid into porous rocks,plays an important role in the effective exploitation of hydrocarbon resources and the geological sequestration of carbon ***,the interface dynamics influenced by complex topology commonly leads to non-wetting fluid ***,the underlying mechanisms under viscously unfavorable conditions remain *** study employs a direct numerical simulation method to simulate forced imbibition through the reconstructed digital rocks of *** interface dynamics and fluid–fluid interactions are investigated through transient simulations,while the pore topology metrics are introduced to analyze the impact on steady-state residual fluid distribution obtained by a pseudo-transient *** results show that the cooperative pore-filling process promoted by corner flow is dominant at low capillary *** leads to unstable inlet pressure,mass flow,and interface curvature,which correspond to complicated interface dynamics and higher residual fluid *** forced imbibition,the interface curvature gradually increases,with the pore-filling mechanisms involving the cooperation of main terminal meniscus movement and arc menisci *** topology with small diameter pores may result in the destabilization of interface *** residual fluid saturation is negatively correlated with porosity and pore throat size,and positively correlated with tortuosity and aspect ratio.A large mean coordination number characterizing global connectivity promotes ***,high connectivity characterized by the standardized Euler number corresponding to small pores is associated with a high probability of non-wetting fluid trapping.

In the context of complex tectonic evolution， due to the control of tectonic compression stress and faults on tectonic fractures， the formation and development of tectonic fractures in the T3x2tight reservoirs present significant variations across different tectonic segments in the Western Sichuan Foreland Basin. We clarified the control of differential tectonic evolution on the formation and development of tectonic fractures in different tectonic segments through field-based observations， core samples， image logging， as well as fluid inclusion petrography and temperature determinations of fracture-filling materials， combined with 2D balanced cross-section restoration. The study area primarily manifests two types of tectonic fractures in the tight reservoirs: orogen-related fractures （regional fractures） and fault-related fractures. The orientations of these fractures are predominantly E-W， nearly N-S， NE， and NW. Specifically， the northern segment area only shows the development of regional fractures， while the southern and middle segments exhibit the development of both regional and tectonic fractures. There are three phases of tectonic fractures in different tectonic segments， and their formation times are relatively consistent. The Mesozoic tectonic events had a significant impact on the northern and central segments， with the amount of tectonic shortening and the rate of stratigraphic shortening gradually decreasing from the northeast to the southwest. The compressional stress resulting from tectonic compression also decreases from the northeast to the southwest. As a result， the development of first-phase and second-phase tectonic shear fractures is more pronounced in the northern and middle segments compared to the southern segment. Under the significant control of faults， the development of N-S- and NE-oriented fault-related fractures is more pronounced in the southern segment， while the development of NE-oriented fault-related fractures is relatively higher

Iron-chromium flow batteries(ICRFBs)have emerged as an ideal large-scale energy storage device with broad application prospects in recent *** of the Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+)redox reaction activity and inhibition of the hydrogen evolution side reaction(HER)are essential for the development of ICRFBs and require a novel catalyst ***,elucidating the underlying mechanisms for modulating catalyst behaviors remains an unresolved ***,we show a novel precisely controlled preparation of a novel thermal-treated carbon cloth electrode with a uniform deposit of low-cost indium catalyst *** density functional theory analysis reveals the In catalyst has a significant adsorption effect on the reactants and improves the redox reaction activity of Cr^(3+)/Cr^(2+).Moreover,H+is more easily absorbed on the surface of the catalyst with a high migration energy barrier,thereby inhibiting the occurrence of *** assembled ICRFBs have an average energy efficiency of 83.91%at 140 mA cm^(-2),and this method minimizes the electrodeposition process and cleans the last obstacle for industry long cycle operation *** ICRFBs exhibit exceptional long-term stability with an energy efficiency decay rate of 0.011%per cycle at 1000 cycles,the lowest ICRFBs reported so ***,this study provides a promising strategy for developing ICRFBs with low costs and long cycle life.

It is of great significance to accurately and rapidly identify shale lithofacies in relation to the evaluation and prediction of sweet spots for shale oil and gas reservoirs. To address the problem of low resolution in logging curves, this study establishes a grayscale-phase model based on high-resolution grayscale curves using clustering analysis algorithms for shale lithofacies identification, working with the Shahejie Formation, Bohai Bay Basin, China. The grayscale phase is defined as the sum of absolute grayscale and relative amplitude as well as their features. The absolute grayscale is the absolute magnitude of the gray values and is utilized for evaluating the material composition(mineral composition + total organic carbon) of shale, while the relative amplitude is the difference between adjacent gray values and is used to identify the shale structure type. The research results show that the grayscale phase model can identify shale lithofacies well, and the accuracy and applicability of this model were verified by the fitting relationship between absolute grayscale and shale mineral composition, as well as corresponding relationships between relative amplitudes and laminae development in shales. Four lithofacies are identified in the target layer of the study area: massive mixed shale, laminated mixed shale, massive calcareous shale and laminated calcareous shale. This method can not only effectively characterize the material composition of shale, but also numerically characterize the development degree of shale laminae, and solve the problem that difficult to identify millimeter-scale laminae based on logging curves, which can provide technical support for shale lithofacies identification, sweet spot evaluation and prediction of complex continental lacustrine basins.

The Member 4 of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation(Es4) in the Bohai Bay Basin is interspersed with a set of high-quality source rocks typified as intercalation of red and black mudstones. A large amount of petroleum(crude oil) originates from these source rocks. The Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum(PETM)event occurred during the deposition of Es4 in the Bohai Bay Basin, and the organic matter enrichment model under this event is worth further investigation due to its relationship with and influence on petroleum accumulations. Well LK25-A, as the first oil exploration well drilled into the Es4 in Miaoxi area, serves as a valuable case to study organic matter accumulation. In this study, we integrate total organic carbon(TOC),Rock-Eval pyrolysis, microscopic observation, vitrinite reflectance(VRo), elemental analysis, and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) to evaluate the hydrocarbon generation potential, organic matter types, thermal maturity, and sedimentary environment of the Es4 in Miaoxi area. The analysis of maceral and rock pyrolysis data reveals that Type I and Type II organic matter make up the majority of Paleogene mudstones in this region. The TOC and rock pyrolysis data show that mudstones in this area have high organic matter abundance and oil-generation potential. The measured vitrinite reflectance distribution of mudstone samples, which ranges from 0.3% to 0.74%, demonstrates that the Paleogene strata are at the immature to mature stage, and the samples from this area contain a sizable amount of bituminite and mineralbituminous groundmass. The analysis of biomarkers in the mudstone samples indicates that most of the mudstones in this area are in lacustrine and brackish-hypersaline lacustrine environment under a reducing condition, and some of the red mudstones in the Es4 are formed under a suboxic condition. In this paper, the problem of cubature Kalman fusion filtering(CKFF) is addressed for multi-sensor systems under amplify-and-forward(AaF) relays. For the purpose of facilitating data transmission, AaF relays are utilized to regulate signal communication between sensors and filters. Here, the randomly varying channel parameters are represented by a set of stochastic variables whose occurring probabilities are permitted to exhibit bounded uncertainty. Employing the spherical-radial cubature principle, a local filter under AaF relays is initially constructed. This construction ensures and minimizes an upper bound of the filtering error covariance by designing an appropriate filter gain. Subsequently, the local filters are fused through the application of the covariance intersection fusion rule. Furthermore, the uniform boundedness of the filtering error covariance's upper bound is investigated through establishing certain sufficient conditions. The effectiveness of the proposed CKFF scheme is ultimately validated via a simulation experiment concentrating on a three-phase induction machine.
