This paper describes the research on a largescale dispatchable grid-connected photovoltaic(PV)system for supplying power to the grid for dispatch instead of supplying the electricity to a local *** order to maximise the value of the solar energy,a hybrid electricity storage consisting of batteries and supercapacitors is used with the PV *** paper proposes a control strategy focusing on theDCpower at theDClink rather than at the grid-connected *** typical sets of real data,collected from existing sites,are used to demonstrate the practicality of the ***,the simulation results are used to demonstrate the good performance and feasibility of the proposed system together with the proposed control strategy.

Bronze phase TiO_(2)[TiO_(2)(B)]has great research potential for sodium storage since it has a higher theoretical capacity and ion mobility compared with other phases of TiO_(2).In this case,preparing porous TiO_(2)(B)nanosheets,which can provide abundant sodium insertion channels,is the most effective way to improve transport ***,we use the strong one-dimensional TiO_(2)nanowires as the matrix for stringing these nanosheets together through a simple solvothermal method to build a bunchy hierarchical structure[TiO_(2)(B)-BH],which has fast pseudocapacitance behavior,high structural stability,and effective ion/electron *** the superiorities of this structure design,TiO_(2)(B)-BH has a higher capacity(131 vs.70 mAh g^(−1)[TiO_(2)-NWs]at 0.5 C).And it is worth mentioning that the reversible capacity of up to 500 cycles can still be maintained at 85 mAh g^(−1)at a high rate of 10 ***,we also further analyzed the sodium storage mechanism through the ex-situ X-ray powder diffraction test,which proved the high structural stability of TiO_(2)(B)-BH in the process of sodiumization/*** strategy of uniformly integrating nanosheets into a matrix can also be extended to preparing electrode material structures of other energy devices.

In the future smart cities,parking lots(PLs)can accommodate hundreds of electric vehicles(EVs)at the same *** trend creates an opportunity for PLs to serve as a potential flexibility resource,considering growing penetration of EVs and integration of distributed energy resources DER(such as photovoltaic and energy storages).Given this background,this paper proposes a comprehensive evaluation framework to investigate the potential role of DER-integrated PLs(DPL)with the capability of vehicle-to-grid(V2G)in improving the reliability of the distribution *** this aim,first,an overview for the distribution system with DPLs is ***,a generic model for the available generation capacity(AGC)of DPLs with consideration of EV scheduling strategy is *** the above basis,an iterative-based algorithm leveraging sequential Monte Carlo simulation is presented to quantify the contribution of DPLs to the reliability of the *** order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method,a series of numerical studies are carried *** simulation results show that the integration of DPLs with the V2G capability could help to improve the reliability performance of distribution grid to a great extent and reduce the adverse impact incurred by EV accommodation,if utilized properly.

Solar cells convert sun light into electricity,but have the major drawbacks of high initial cost,low photo-conversion efficiency and *** current-voltage characteristics of the solar cells depend on solar insolation level and temperature,which lead to the variation of the maximum power point(MPP).Herein,to improve photovoltaic(PV)system efficiency,and increase the lifetime of the battery,a microcontroller-based battery charge controller with maximum power point tracker(MPPT)is designed for harvesting the maximum power available from the PV system under given insolation and temperature *** different MPPT techniques,perturb and observe(P&O)technique gives excellent results and thus is *** work involves the design of MPPT charge controller using DC/DC buck converter and microcontroller.A prototype MPPT charge controller is tested with a 200 W PV panel and lead acid *** results show that the designed MPPT controller improves the efficiency of the PV panel when compared to conventional charge controllers.

Influence of frequency on the surface discharge characteristics of PEEK under positive repetitive square voltage

In this study, the surface discharge current pulses of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) material under positive repetitive square voltage in a nitrogen atmosphere are measured. The influences of different voltage amplitudes and frequencies on the detail parameters of forward discharge and backward discharge current pulses are statistically analysed. The results show that as the square voltage amplitude increases, the current pulse amplitude, fall time and pulse width of both forward and backward discharge current increase, and the rise time does not change significantly. As the voltage frequency increases, current pulse amplitude, fall time and pulse width of both forward and backward discharge current decrease, and the rise time does not change significantly. Due to the independence of the discharge at different repetitive cycles, the specific discharge process in one cycle is analysed in detail to explain the influence mechanism of the voltage amplitude and frequency on the discharge current. By mean of the Richardson-Schottky and the Cavallini relaxation model, the relationship between discharge voltage ratio and surface charge, and the decay process of surface discharge are analysed. Furthermore, the influences of amplitude and frequency of the positive repetitive square voltage on the PEEK surface current pulses are explained qualitatively.

This study presents an optimal electricity-heat system(EHS)planning framework to promote the accommodation of wind power while considering technical,economic and environmental *** this end,integrated demand response(IDR)is introduced as a flexibility resource to complement the inherent fluctuation of renewable energy sources and modeled by using price elasticity *** the timing transferring and energy substitution potentials are considered in the proposed IDR *** the effect of IDR into the EHS planning model,a two-stage stochastic programming model can be devised,in which the optimal EHS configuration design and associated operation control techniques are found simultaneously to minimize the system’s total economic and carbon-emission costs over the planning *** multi-scale uncertainties arising from both long-term demand growth and operation-level variability of renewables/load demands are captured collectively by using a scenario-based *** suggested planning approach is illustrated using a real EHS test case and the results show that it is effective in practical applications.
