A two-photon near infrared(NIR)fluorescence turn-on sensor with high selectivity and sensitivity for Zn^(2+)detection has been *** sensor exhibits a large Stokes'shift(-300 nm)and can be excited from 900 to 1000 nm,with an emission wavelength of-785 nm,making it ideal for imaging in biological *** sensor's high selectivity for Zn^(2+)over other structurally similar cations,such as Cd^(2+),makes it a promising tool for monitoring zinc ion levels in biological *** the high concentration of zinc in thrombi,this sensor could provide a useful tool for in vivo thrombus imaging.

Supramolecular systems feature dynamic,reversible and stimuli-responsive characteristics,which are not easily achieved by molecular *** last decade has witnessed tremendous advances in the investigations of supramolecular systems for various bioapplications,which include drug delivery,anticancer therapy,antibacterial therapy,photodynamic therapy,photothermal therapy,combination therapy,antidotes for residual drugs or toxins,and bioimaging and ***-guest chemistry has played a key role in the development of such bioactive supramolecular systems,and natural macrocycles(such as cyclodextrins),synthetic macrocycles(such as calixarenes,cucurbit[n]urils,and pillararenes),and porous framework polymers(such as supramolecular organic frameworks and flexible organic frameworks)have been most successfully used as hosts to build different kinds of host-guest systems for attaining designed *** self-assembly of rationally designed amphiphilic molecules,macromolecules and polymers represent another important approach for the construction of supramolecular architectures with advanced *** this review,we summarize the important contributions made by Chinese researchers in this field,with emphasis on those reported in the past five years.

Engineering of a new type of plant base editor for simultaneous adenine transition and transversion within the editing window will greatly expand the scope and potential of base editing in directed evolution and crop ***,we isolated a rice endogenous hypoxanthine excision protein,N-methylpurine DNA glycosylase(OsMPG),and engineered two plant A-to-K(K=G or T)base editors,rAKBE01 and rAKBE02,for simultaneous adenine transition and transversion base editing in rice by fusing OsMPG or its mutant mOsMPG to a plant adenine transition base editor,*** further coupled either OsMPG or mOsMPG with a transactivation factor VP64 to generate rAKBE03 and rAKBE04,*** these four rAKBEs,at five endogenous loci in rice protoplasts,indicated that rAKBE03 and rAKBE04 enabled higher levels of A-to-G base transitions when compared to ABE8e and ***,whereas rAKBE01 only enabled A-to-C/T editing at one endogenous locus,in comparison with rAKBE02 and rAKBE03,rAKBE04 could significantly improve the A-to-C/T base transversion efficiencies by up to 6.57-and 1.75-fold in the rice protoplasts,***,although no stable lines with A-to-C transversion were induced by rAKBE01 and rAKBE04,rAKBE04 could enable simultaneous A-to-G and A-to-T transition and transversion base editing,at all the five target loci,with the efficiencies of A-to-G transition and A-to-T transversion editing ranging from 70.97 to 92.31%and 1.67 to 4.84%in rice stable lines,***,these rAKBEs enable different portfolios of editing products and,thus,now expands the potential of base editing in diverse application scenario for crop improvement.

Despite much research in the field of island biogeography,mechanisms regulating insular diversity remain ***,we aim to explore mechanisms underlying plant species-area relationships in two tropical archipelagoes in the South China *** found positive plant species-area relationships for both coral and continental ***,our results showed that different mechanisms contributed to similar plant species-area relationships between the two *** coral islands,soil nutrients and spatial distance among communities played major roles in shaping plant community structure and species *** contrast,the direct effect of island area,and to a lesser extent,soil nutrients determined plant species richness on continental ***,increasing soil nutrients availab.lity(N,P,K)had opposite effects on plant diversity between the two *** summary,the habitat quality effect and dispersal limitation are important for regulating plant diversity on coral islands,whereas the passive sampling effect,and to a lesser extent,the habitat quality effect are important for regulating plant diversity on continental *** generally,our findings indicate that island plant species-area relationships are outcomes of the interplay of both niche and neutral processes,but the driving mechanisms behind these relationships depends on the type of islands.

Bionic manta underwater vehicles will play an essential role in future oceans and can perform tasks,such as long-duration reconnaissance and exploration,due to their efficient *** manta wings’deformation is evident during the swimming *** improve the propulsion performance of the unmanned submersible,the study of the deformation into the bionic pectoral fin is *** this research,we designed and fabricated a flexible bionic pectoral fin,which is based on the Fin Ray®effect with active and passive deformation(APD)*** APD fin was actively controlled by two servo motors and could be passively deformed to variable *** APD fin was moved at 0.5 Hz beat frequency,and the propulsive performance was experimentally verified of the bionic pectoral fins equipped with different extents of *** results showed that the pectoral fin with active–passive deformed capabilities could achieve similar natural biological deformation in the wingspan *** average thrust(T)under the optimal wingspan deformation is 61.5%higher than the traditional passive deformed pectoral *** obtained results shed light on the design and optimization of the bionic pectoral fins to improve the propulsive performance of unmanned underwater vehicles(UUV).

Bioactive compounds derived from herbal medicinal plants modulate various therapeutic targets and signaling pathways associated with cardiovascular diseases(CVDs),the world’s primary cause of *** biloba,a well-known traditional Chinese medicine with notable cardiovascular actions,has been used as a cardio-and cerebrovascular therapeutic drug and nutraceutical in Asian countries for *** studies have shown that ginkgolide B,a bioactive component in Ginkgo biloba,can ameliorate atherosclerosis in cultured vascular cells and disease *** clinical relevance,several clinical trials are ongoing or being completed to examine the efficacy and safety of ginkgolide B-related drug preparations in the prevention of cerebrovascular diseases,such as ischemia ***,we present a comprehensive review of the pharmacological activities,pharmacokinetic characteristics,and mechanisms of action of ginkgolide B in atherosclerosis prevention and *** highlight new molecular targets of ginkgolide B,including nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidases(NADPH oxidase),lectin-like oxidized LDL receptor-1(LOX-1),sirtuin 1(SIRT1),platelet-activating factor(PAF),proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK9)and ***,we provide an overview and discussion of the therapeutic potential of ginkgolide B and highlight the future perspective of developing ginkgolide B as an effective therapeutic agent for treating atherosclerosis.

将手性整合到薄膜体系中为手性分离技术的发展提供了独特的方向.然而,在膜层之间创建手性位点仍是一个有待解决的问题.在此,我们制作了一种壳聚糖/氧化石墨烯(CG)基薄膜,通过与L-色氨酸衍生物(LPWM)的非共价相互作用,CG-LPWM薄膜不仅保持优异的机械强度,同时具有手性功能.LPWM在薄膜中引入了手性环境,使得薄膜不仅能够视觉识别手性分子,而且对手性药物具有一定的分离性能:伪麻黄碱的光学异构体过量值超过80%.手性识别源于手性组装体与其中一种异构体具有更强或更多的氢键作用导致的优先结合.这项工作通过简单的非共价相互作用制作了手性薄膜,为手性修饰的层状膜实现对映体识别与分离指引了方向.
