The effect of two CoVID-19 lockdowns on physical activity of school-age children

The introduction of strict quarantine restrictions in many countries initiated a direction in science to study the behavioral characteristics of children and adolescents during the social isolation at the population *** present our observations during the two lockdowns in *** objective of this study was to determine:a)the level of light(LPA)and moderate-to-vigorous(mVPA)physical activity among school-age children,and b)the impact of the external and internal factors on their physical activity during the *** Physical Activity Questionnaire(GPAQ)as part of our questionnaire Q-RAPH was *** of 1091 children 6–18 years old(54%boys)filled Q-RAPH at two measurement points in 2020 and *** performing ANCoVA and logistic regression,we found a significant decrease in mVPA by 12.7%in 2021 compared to 2020(pout 1.5 h a day during both *** proportion of children who reach the recommended levels of mVPA also decreased by 13.7%in 2021(pors negatively affecting the achievement of 60 min a day of mVPA were female gender,chronic diseases,overweight/obesity,non-participation in organized sports,and a decrease in the average air *** study evidences the insufficient level of preventive measures and requires an intensification of health education among the Ukrainian *** developing preventive measures,special attention should be paid to groups vulnerable to mVPA reduction as children who have chronic diseases and/or overweight/obesity as well as non-participation in sports.

Cobalamin(Cbl)-dependent radical S-adenosyl-L-methionine(SAm) proteins constitute the largest collection of the radical SAm superfamily that has hundreds of thousands of individual members. many of these proteins are involved in the biosynthesis of pharmaceutically important natural products to catalyze chemically demanding reactions. In the biosynthetic pathway of chuangxinmycin(CXm), a unique indole alkaloid antibiotic with potent anti-infective activity, functionalization of the characteristic thiopyrano[4,3,2-cd]indole scaffold by regio-and stereoselective C3-methylation is believed to rely on a Cbl-dependent radical process, which, however, remained to be reconstituted biochemically. We here report the dissection of this enzymatic process, which requires the incorporation of Cxm8, a Cbl-dependent radical SAm protein, with Cxm9, a DUF5825family protein that shares no homology to any proteins of known functions. Cxm8 and Cxm9 function together by forming an unexpected heterodimeric complex that selectively catalyzes C3-methylation of the tricyclic indole-S-hetero ring system in a successive manner, achieving CXm and a recently identified, C3-dimethylated congener. Detailed biochemical characterization,isotope labeling, structural simulation and bioinformatics analysis rationalized the catalysis of the Cxm8/Cxm9 complex and particularly the necessity of the DUF5825 protein for C3-methylase activity. This is the first example that a Cbl-dependent protein acts with a partner to exhibit radical SAm activity.

Selective hydrogenation of furfural to furfuryl alcohol is a great challenge in the hydrogenation field due to thermodynamic preference for hydrogenation of C=C over C=***,a novel Al2o3/C-u hybrid catalyst,composed of N-modified dendritic carbon networks supporting Al2o3nanoparticles,was successfully prepared via carbonizing the freeze-dried gel from spontaneous cross-linking of alginate,Al3+and *** obtained carbon-supported Al2o3hybrid catalyst has a high ratio （31%） of Al species in pentahedral-coordinated *** introduction of urea enhances the surface N content,the ratio of pyrrolic N,and specific surface area of catalyst,leading to improved adsorption capacity of C=o and the accessibility of active *** the furfural hydrogenation reaction with isopropyl alcohol as hydrogen donor,Al2o3/C-u catalyst achieved a 90%conversion of furfural with 98.0% selectivity to furfuryl alcohol,outperforming that of commercial γ-***,Al2o3/C-u demonstrates excellent catalytic stability in the recycling tests attributed to the synergistic effect of abundant weak Lewis acid sites and the anchoring effect of the carbon network on *** work provides an innovative and facile strategy for fabrication of carbon-supported Al2o3hybrid catalysts with rich AlVspecies,serving as a high selective hydrogenation catalyst through mPV reaction route.
