Relationship between light and heavy fractions of organic matter for several agricultural soils in China

Although numerous studies about the nature and turnover of soil organic matter（SOM） in light and heavy fractions（ LFOM and HFQM, respectively） have been made, little information is available in relation to the relationship between LFQM and HFOM, and no attempts have been made to quantify a general relationship between LFQM and HFQM for agricultural soils under field condition. Qur hypothesis is there may be an inherent relationship between LFQM and HFQM for agricultural soils under certain unaltered management practices for a long period, to this end, we therefore studied typically soils taken from different parts in China by using a simple density fractionation procedure. The results indicated that LFQM was positively correlated with LFOM/HFOM ratio for three typical soils. This information will be of particular use not only in deepening our understanding of the dynamics of SQM fractions but also in evaluating the potential of agricultural soils to sequestrate C under different management practices in a long term.

This paper proposes an efficient method to extract the leaf region and count the number of leaves in digital plant *** plant image analysis plays a significant role in viable and productive *** is used to record the plant growth,plant yield,chlorophyll fluorescence,plant width and tallness,leaf area,*** and *** growth is a major character to be analyzed among these plant characters and it directly depends on the number of leaves in the *** this paper,a new method is presented for leaf region extraction from plant images and counting the number of *** proposed method has three *** first step involves a new statistical based technique for image *** second step involves in the extraction of leaf region in plant image using a graph based *** third step involves in counting the number of leaves in the plant image by applying Circular Hough Transform(CHT).The proposed work has been experimented on benchmark datasets of Leaf Segmentation Challenge(LSC).The proposed method achieves the segmentation accuracy of 95.4%and it also achieves the counting accuracy of0.7(DiC)and 2.3(|DiC|)for datasets(A1,A2 and A3),which are better than the state-of-the-art methods.

A gated Hall-bar device is made from an epitaxially grown,free-standing InSb nanosheet on a hexagonal boron nitride(hBN)dielectric/graphite gate structure and the electron transport properties in the InSb nanosheet are studied by gate-transfer characteristic and magnetotransport measurements at low *** measurements show that the carriers in the InSb nanosheet are of electrons and the carrier density in the nanosheet can be highly efficiently tuned by the graphite *** mobility of the electrons in the InSb nanosheet is extracted from low-field magneotransport measurements and a value of the mobility exceeding~1.8×10^(4) cm^(2)·V^(-1)·s^(-1) is ***-field magentotransport measurements show well-defined Shubnikov-de Haas(SdH)oscillations in the longitudinal resistance of the InSb ***-dependent measurements of the SdH oscillations are carried out and key transport parameters,including the electron effective mass m*~0.028m0 and the quantum lifetimeτ~0.046 ps,in the InSb nanosheet are *** is for the first time that such experimental measurements have been reported for a free-standing InSb nanosheet and the results obtained indicate that InSb nanosheet/hBN/graphite gate structures can be used to develop advanced quantum devices for novel physics studies and for quantum technology applications.

Chemical waste compositions are important for municipal solid waste management, as they determine the pollution potentials from different waste strategies. A representative dataset for chemical characteristics of individual waste fractions is frequently required to assess chemical waste composition, but it is usually reported in developed countries and not in developing countries. In this study, a dataset for Chinese waste was established through careful data screening and assessment, named as CN dataset. Meanwhile, a dataset for Danish waste（DK dataset） was also summarized based on previous studies. In order to quantitatively evaluate the reliabilities of CN and DK datasets, the chemical waste compositions in four Chinese cities were estimated by utilizing both of them, respectively. It is indicated that the usage of CN datasets led to significantly lower discrepancies from the actual values based on laboratory analysis in most cases. Within the datasets, the moisture contents of food waste, paper, textiles, and plastics, the carbon content of food waste, as well as the oxygen content of plastics would induce significant divergences, which should be paid special attention when gathering the information. In addition, the fractional waste compositions in China showed similar features with other developing countries but differ significantly with developed countries. Thus the above-mentioned conclusions could also be true in other developing countries.

stem cell transplantation （allo-SCT） is a potential cure for patients with malignant lymphoma that is based on the graft-versus-lymphoma （GVL） effect. Myeloablative conditioning allo-SCT is associated with high mortality and morbidity, particularly in patients older than 45 years, heavily pretreated patients （prior hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or more than two lines of conventional chemotherapy） or patients affected by other comorbidities. Therefore, conventional allo-SCT is restricted to younger patients （〈50 to 55 years） in good physical condition. Over the last decade, allo-SCT with reduced-intensity conditioning （RIC-allo-SCT） has been increasingly used to treat patients with lymphoma. This treatment is associated with lower toxicity and substantial decrease in the incidence of transplant- related mortality, and has the potential to lead to long-term remissions. Therefore, patients who are not suitable to undergo conventional allo-SCT can benefit from the potentially curative GVL effects of allo-SCT. Although RIC-allo-SCT has improved the survival of lymphoma patients, high post-transplant relapse rates or disease progression mainly results in treatment failure. Thus, further improvement is clearly needed. The role and timing of RIC-allo-SCT in the treatment of lymphoma remains unclear. Therefore, more prospective studies should clarify the effectiveness of this method. In this article, we review the recent literature on RIC-alIo-SCT as a treatment for major lymphoma subtypes. Areas that require further investigation in the context of clinical trials are also highlighted.

One of the significant health issues affecting women that impacts their fertility and results in serious health concerns is Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Consequently,timely screening of polycystic ovarian syndrome can help in the process of *** a method to aid doctors in this procedure was crucial due to the difficulties in detecting this *** research aimed to determine whether it is possible to optimize the detection of PCOS utilizing Deep Learning algorithms and ***,feature selection methods that produce the most important subset of features can speed up calculation and enhance the effectiveness of *** this research,the tri-stage wrapper method is used because it reduces the computation *** proposed study for the Automatic diagnosis of PCOS contains preprocessing,data normalization,feature selection,and classification.A dataset with 39 characteristics,including metabolism,neuroimaging,hormones,and biochemical information for 541 subjects,was employed in this *** start,this research pre-processed the *** for feature selection,a tri-stage wrapper method such as Mutual Information,ReliefF,Chi-Square,and Xvariance is ***,various classification methods are tested and *** learning techniques including convolutional neural network(CNN),multi-layer perceptron(MLP),Recurrent neural network(RNN),and Bi long short-term memory(Bi-LSTM)are utilized for *** experimental finding demonstrates that with effective feature extraction process using tri stage wrapper method+CNN delivers the highest precision(97%),high accuracy(98.67%),and recall(89%)when compared with other machine learning algorithms.

Effects of urea,metal ions and surfactants on the binding of baicalein with bovine serum albumin

The interaction of baicalein with bovine serum albumin（BSA） was investigated with the help of spectroscopic and molecular docking *** binding affinity of baicalein towards BSA was estimated to be in order of 10~5 M^（-1） from fluorescence quenching *** ΔH°（-5.66 ＋ 0.14 kJ/mol） and positive（ΔS°）（＋ 79.96 ＋ 0.65J/mol K） indicate the presence of electrostatic interactions along with the hydrophobic forces that result in a positive ΔS°.The hydrophobic association of baicalein with BSA diminishes in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate（SDS） due to probable hydrophobic association of baicalein with SDS,resulting in a negative ΔS°（-40.65 ＋ 0.87 J/mol K）.Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization/time of flight（MALDI-TOF） experiments indicate a 1：1 complexation between baicalein and *** unfolding and refolding phenomena of BSA were investigated in the absence and presence of baicalein using steady-state and fluorescence lifetime *** was observed that the presence of urea ruptured the non-covalent interaction between baicalein and *** presence of metal ions（Ag~＋,Mg^（2＋）,Ni^（2＋）,Mn^（2＋）,Co^（2＋） and Zn^（2＋）） increased the binding affinity of ligand towards *** changes in conformational aspects of BSA after ligand binding were also investigated using circular dichroism（CD） and Fourier transform infrared（FT-IR） spectroscopic *** selectivity studies following molecular docking analyses indicated the binding of baicalein to site 1（subdomain MA） of BSA.

The transient absorption spectra of triphenylamine (TPA) in various solvents have beeninvestigated by the methods of nanosecond laser photolysis. The lifetimes of TPA were meas-ured. In hexane and ethanol, the transient absorptions of triplet state and triplet excimer ofTPA were observed. However, the transient absorptions of the TPA cation radical was alsoobserved in acetonitrile besides that of the triplet TPA monomer and excimer. According tothe experimental facts, the transient photophysical mechanism of TPA in various solvents hasbeen proposed.

Due to profound impact on climate and human health,air quality has attracted attention from all levels of the civil *** key step in the provision of required tools for the society to tackle the complex air quality problem is to characterize it in a comprehensive manner with a long-term ***,we describe a continuous and comprehensive observation station and its accompanying state-ofthe-art instrumentation that was established to investigate the complex urban atmospheric environment in a rapidly developing Chinese *** station,located in downtown Beijing,aims to study air quality by identifying the major atmospheric pollutants and key processes determining their formation and loss mechanisms.A few hundreds of parameters are continuously measured with the state-of-the-art instruments,including trace gas concentrations,aerosol particle size distributions,and mass concentrations,covering aerosol particle chemical composition from molecules to micrometer-sized aerosol *** produced long-term,comprehensive big data with around 1�10^(11)bytes per *** this paper,we provide an overview on the facilities of the station,the instrumentation used,the workflow of continuous observations and examples of results from 2018 to 2019 and a basis for establishing a modern long-term,comprehensive atmospheric urban observation station in other megacities.
