A Multi-time Scale Tie-line Energy and Reserve Allocation Model Considering Wind power Uncertainties for Multi-area Systems

Continued expansion of the power grid and the increasing proportion of wind power centralized integration leads to requirements in sharing both energy and reserves among multiple areas under a hierarchical control structure,which successively requires a correction between schedule plans within multi-time *** order to address this problem,this paper develops an information integration method integrating complicated relationships among fuel cost,total thermal power output,reserve capacity,owned reserves and expectations of load shedding and wind curtailment,into three types of time-related relationship curves・Furthermore,a multi-time scale tieline energy and reserves allocation model is proposed,which contains two levels in the control structure,two time scales in dispatch sequence and multiple areas integrated within wind farms as scheduling objects・The efficiency of the proposed method is tested in a 9-bus test system and IEEE 118-bus *** results show that a cross-regional control center is able to approach the optimal scheduling results of the whole system with the integrated uploaded relationship *** proposed model not only relieves energy and reserve shortages in partial areas but also allocates them to more urgent need areas in a high effectivity manner in both day-ahead and intraday time scales.

Harmonic Data Recovery Method Based on Multivariate Norm Matrix

During state perception of a power system, fragments of harmonic data are inevitably lost owing to the loss of synchronization signals, transmission delays, instrument failures, or other factors. A harmonic data recovery method is proposed based on multivariate norm matrix in this paper. The proposed method involves dynamic time warping for correlation analysis of harmonic data, normalized cuts for correlation clustering of power-quality monitoring devices, and adaptive alternating direction method of multipliers for multivariable norm joint optimization. Compared with existing data recovery methods, our proposed method maintains excellent recovery accuracy without requiring prior information or optimization of the power-quality monitoring device. Simulation results on the IEEE 39-bus and IEEE 118-bus test systems demonstrate the low computational complexity of the proposed method and its robustness against noise. In addition, the application of the proposed method to field data from a real-world system provides consistent results with those obtained from simulations.

A novel picture-based situation assessment method is proposed to predict the voltage qualification rate(VQR) of substation-centralized distribution network(SCDN) by using the feature vector of voltage contour situation picture(VCSP).At first,the feature vector denoted in X of VCSP is proposed,and the VQR of SCDN denoted in Y is calculated by counting the total number of load node inside the upper bound and lower bound voltage contour lines,which is an accurate method through the diagram information of VCSP picture;then the relationship between X and Y is explored by support vector machine(SVM) *** algorithm(GA) is proposed to select the parameters of SVM *** clustering of VCSP samples is used to improve the accuracy of SVM *** study has proven the effectiveness and efficiency of provided method.

Chaos Existence in Surface Discharge of Tracking Test

Tracking tests for different polymer materials were carried out to investigate the chaotic behavior of surface discharge. The discharge sequences measured during the discharge process were analyzed for finding the evidence of chaos existence. Four kinds of nonlinear analysis methods were adopted： estimating the largest Lyapunov exponent, calculating the fractal dimension with increasing the embedding dimension, drawing the recurrence plots, and plotting the Poincare maps. It is found that the largest Lyapunov exponent of the discharge is positive, and the plot of fractal dimension, as a function of embedding dimension, will saturate at a value. The recur- rence plots show the chaotic frame-work patterns, and the Poincar6 maps also have the chaotic characteristics. The results indicate that the chaotic behavior does exist in the discharge currents of the tracking test.

With the development of the Plug-in Electric Vehicles（PEVs）, it has become a significant part of electric load. The optimal PEVs’ charging and discharging scheduling is a vital problem when PEVs connect into the smart grid. In most literatures,the charging and discharging procedure is assumed idealized. In reality, many uncertainties are exist during the procedure, such as the conversion efficiency, temperature and other aspects, but they are not easy to be expressed as a fixed term. In this paper,we use a random but bounded uncertainties to describe the uncertainties. Meanwhile, based on robust model predictive control（RMPC） method, we introduce the disturbance invariant set to solve the PEVs scheduling problem with uncertainties and design a feedback control law to guarantee the feasibility of it. A distributed method to reduce the computation complexity of the uncertain problem. At last, some simulations demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed centralized and distributed methods.
