A Mode-switching Strategy of Droop control for VSC-MTDC Systems considering Maximum DC Voltage Regulation Capability

To achieve the goal of carbon neutrality,renewable energy integration through a voltage source converter based multi-terminal direct current(VSC-MTDC)system has been identified as a promising *** tackle the significant DC voltage over-limit problem in a VSC-MTDC system during disturbances,this paper proposes a mode-switching strategy of droop control considering maximum DC voltage regulation *** close relationship between node injection powers and node DC voltages in the MTDC system is elaborated,and the most effective regulation approach of local injection power for limiting DC voltage deviation is *** operating point trajectories of different droop control explains that the DC voltage deviation can be minimized by fully utilizing the capacity of ***,the mode-switching strategy with the maximum DC voltage regulation capability is realized by the switching between the voltage droop control and the constant maximum power *** addition,a mode recovery process and a smooth switching method are developed to make converters regain the capability of maintaining DC voltage and reduce power fluctuation during mode switching,***,three cases are investigated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed mode-switching *** with simulation results of the conventional droop control and the DC voltage deviation-dependent droop control,better performance of transient and steady-state DC voltage deviation is achieved through the proposed strategy.

The couple between the power network and the transportation network(TN)is deepening gradually with the increasing penetration rate of electric vehicles(EV),which also poses a great challenge to the traditional voltage control *** this paper,we propose a coordinated voltage control strategy for the active distribution networks considering multiple types of *** the first stage,the action of on-load tap changer and capacitor banks,etc.,are determined by optimal power flow calculation,and the node electricity price is also determined based on dynamic time-of-use tariff *** the second stage,multiple operating scenarios of multiple types of EVs such as cabs,private cars and buses are considered,and the scheduling results of each EV are solved by building an optimization model based on constraints such as queuing theory,Floyd-Warshall algorithm and traffic flow *** the third stage,the output power of photovoltaic and energy storage systems is fine-tuned in the normal control *** charging power of EVs is also regulated in the emergency control mode to reduce the voltage deviation,and the amount of regulation is calculated based on the fair voltage control mode of ***,we test the modified IEEE 33-bus distribution system coupled with the 24-bus Beijing *** simulation results show that the proposed scheme can mitigate voltage violations well.

Incremental cost analysis model of distribution network based on economic dispatch of distributed new-energy storage system

With the implementation of China’s carbon-peaking and carbon-neutrality strategy,new energy will achieve leapfrog *** to the good economics of distributed new-energy generation,it can not only save users’own investment,but also help to achieve local consumption of new ***,it will also bring about a series of incremental costs to the power *** paper first enumerates the concept,development status and scheduling mode of a distributed new-energy storage *** on the above,it establishes a new-energy power generation model and an energy storage system charging and discharging model,and proposes a global optimization scheduling model for a distributed new-energy storage system,considering the time-of-use electricity price and taking the lowest total operating cost of the distributed new-energy power generation system as the objective ***,it proposes a distribution network incremental cost analysis model based on the penetration of distributed new *** calculation results show that the incremental cost of grid-connected distributed new energy is 1.0849,1.2585 and 1.3473 yuan/kWh,respectively,which indicates that the global dispatching model can optimize the power consumption structure of a distributed power generation system,and has the function of peak shaving and valley filling,but the incremental cost of the distribution network will also increase.

coordinated Restoration Method for electric Buses and Network Reconfigurations in Distribution Systems Under Extreme Events

Distribution systems are facing challenges in serving lifeline loads after extreme *** reconfiguration is a traditional and practical method for power supply restoration,which has strong but inflexible power transfer capabilities influenced by network *** failures of utility power under extreme events will further limit the efficiency of network *** buses(EBs)can be utilized to achieve power supply considering their discharging capabilities as mobile storage ***,the mobility of EBs and the influences of transport systems must be carefully considered to enhance the resilience of distribution *** and EBs are complementary in terms of recovery capabilities and location flexibility,and more important loads can be recovered by the coordination between EBs and network *** paper proposes a coordinated restoration method for EBs and reconfigurations considering the influences of transport *** post-disaster restoration problem is formulated as a bi-level model,in which the network topology is optimized in the upperlevel aiming at maximizing restoration loads through the main grid and EBs,while the traffic paths of all EBs are optimized with the goal of maximizing the restoration loads by the EBs in the lower-level considering time consumption and energy consumption during *** PSO and a genetic algorithm are used to solve the proposed bi-level optimization *** studies are performed to verify the superiority of the proposed method.

Research on Scheduling Strategy of Flexible Interconnection Distribution Network considering Distributed Photovoltaic and Hydrogen Energy Storage

Distributed photovoltaic(PV)is one of the important power sources for building a new power system with new energy as the main *** rapid development of distributed PV has brought new challenges to the operation of distribution *** order to improve the absorption ability of large-scale distributed PV access to the distribution network,the AC/DC hybrid distribution network is constructed based on flexible interconnection technology,and a coordinated scheduling strategy model of hydrogen energy storage(HS)and distributed PV is ***,the mathematical model of distributed PV and HS system is established,and a comprehensive energy storage system combining seasonal hydrogen energy storage(SHS)and battery(BT)is ***,a flexible interconnected distribution network scheduling optimization model is established to minimize the total active power loss,voltage deviation and system operating ***,simulation analysis is carried out on the improved IEEE33 node,the NSGA-II algorithm is used to solve specific examples,and the optimal scheduling results of the comprehensive economy and power quality of the distribution network are *** with the method that does not consider HS and flexible interconnection technology,the network loss and voltage deviation of this method are lower,and the total system cost can be reduced by 3.55%,which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Study on multi-timescale operation of hydrogen-containing energy coupled with transportation system

With the widespread attention on hydrogen energy,the operation optimization of the coupling system of hydrogen energy and transportation has become a critical ***,this study develops a hydrogen-containing energy transportation coupling system for the system collaborative operation framework,operation mode and equipment modelling of the ***,a medium-to long-term operation optimization model and a short-term operation optimization model were constructed considering the differences in the operation of coupled systems at different timescales and operating costs as the objective function and power balance and system equipment as *** the medium-and long-term operation optimization model,the planning scenario reduction method is used to reduce the wind power generation *** the short-term operation optimization model,a multivariate uncertainty model is constructed to represent the uncertainty in the coupling ***,the solution method of the model is ***,a coupled system is simulated to verify the effectiveness of the model.(i)When the initial scene set is 600,the typical scene reduction method using Latin hypercube sampling and the Wasserstein distance can reduce operating costs by 7.60%and 9.49%compared with K-means reduction and K-media reduction methods.(ii)The sensitivity coefficients of hydrogen sales price,electricity sales price and maintenance rate to operating costs are-0.031%,-1.009%and 0.0105%,respectively.(iii)considering multiple uncertainties can help make optimal decisions based on the overall consideration of disadvantage scenarios,thereby reducing system operating costs.

Study on the influence of mechanism dispersion on transient recovery voltage distribution of modular DC vacuum circuit breakers

A simulation analysis and an experiment are carried out to investigate how the gap difference between the breaks of a direct current vacuum circuit breakers with multi-breaks(MB-DC VCB)caused by the mechanism dispersion of the breaker influences the distribution of TRV among the *** interruption model of MB-DC VCB,combining the continuous transition model,is established to analyse the rising rate of transient recovery voltage and the dielectric strength recovery speed of the breaks for MB-DC VCB under different gap difference *** on the experimental platform of dual break DC vacuum circuit breaker breaking,the correctness of the simulation model is verified on a DC VCB with the double-breaks interruption experimental ***,a model is applied to the non-synchronous interruption simulation of a DC VCB with *** relationship between the TRVs of the breaks under different gap difference conditions is analysed using the comparative analysis method,obtaining the maximum gap difference at the moment of breaking *** results of this study show that large-gap breaks have a higher TRV than small-gap breaks(the fracture of the action delay module),with double fractures reaching 1.4 times and triple fractures reaching a maximum of 1.52 times;the ability of small-gap breaks to withstand TRV is weak,giving rise to re-breakdown or even interruption failure;as the number of fractures increases,the maximum gap difference also *** the synchronous interruption ability of the MB-DC VCB is conducive to improving the interruption performance and interruption success rate of this type of a circuit breaker.

A Simple and Effective Surface Defect Detection Method of power Line Insulators for Difficult Small Objects

Insulator defect detection plays a vital role in maintaining the secure operation of power *** address the issues of the difficulty of detecting small objects and missing objects due to the small scale,variable scale,and fuzzy edge morphology of insulator defects,we construct an insulator dataset with 1600 samples containing flashovers and *** a simple and effective surface defect detection method of power line insulators for difficult small objects is ***,a high-resolution featuremap is introduced and a small object prediction layer is added so that the model can detect tiny ***,a simplified adaptive spatial feature fusion(SASFF)module is introduced to perform cross-scale spatial fusion to improve adaptability to variable multi-scale ***,we propose an enhanced deformable attention mechanism(EDAM)*** integrating a gating activation function,the model is further inspired to learn a small number of critical sampling points near reference *** the module can improve the perception of object *** experimental results indicate that concerning the dataset of flashover and breakage defects,this method improves the performance of YOLOv5,YOLOv7,and *** practical application,it can simply and effectively improve the precision of power line insulator defect detection and reduce missing detection for difficult small objects.

Dependence of distributed generation(DG)outputs and load plays an essential role in renewable energy *** paper presents a novel DG hosting capacity(DGHC)evaluation method for distribution networks considering highdimensional dependence relations among solar radiation,wind speed,and various load types(i.e.,commercial,residential,and industrial).First,an advanced dependence modeling method called regular vine(R-vine)is applied to capture the complex dependence structure of solar radiation,wind speed,commercial loads,industrial loads,and residential ***,a chanceconstrained DGHC evaluation model is employed to figure out maximum hosting capacity of each DG and its optimal allocation plan with different operational ***,a Benders decomposition algorithm is also employed to reduce computational *** proposed approaches are validated using a set of historical data from *** show dependence among different DGs and loads has significant impact on hosting *** also suggest using the R-vine model to capture dependence among distributed energy resources(DERs)and *** finding provides useful advice for distribution networks in installing renewable energy generations.
