Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is.a clinically approved cancer treatment that us.s.energy of light to generate active s.bs.ances.that caus. damage to the cancer. Photos.ns.tizers.are employed to abs.rb light and generate toxic reactive oxygen s.ecies.(ROs. to damage biomolecules.like DNA. At the s.me time, s.me chemotherapy drugs.like nucleotide analogues.can provide mechanis.-guided promotion in the treatment efficacy of PDT. However, the photos.ns.tizer and chemotherapy drugs.us.d in PDT is.us.ally organic molecules. which s.ffers.from bad s.lubility, fas. clearance, and acute toxicity. To achieve targeted treatment, a reas.nable delivery s.s.em is.neces.ary. Therefore, we reported a metal-phenolic network where IR780 and gemcitabine were coupled chemically to overcome thes. s.ortcomings. The enhanced PDT effects.can be realized by the promoted cell death both in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, the s.nergis.ic therapy als. induced T-cell mediated anti-tumor immune res.ons., which was.s.gnificant for the inhibition of dis.ant tumor growth. This.work expanded the biomedical application of metal-phenolic materials.and contribute to the wider application of photodynamic cancer therapy.

Normal and neoplas.ic growth of the pros.ate gland are dependent on androgen receptor （AR） expres.ion and function. Androgenic activation of the AR, in as.ociation with its.coregulatory factors. is.the clas.ical pathway that leads.to trans.riptional activity of AR target genes. Alternatively, cytoplas.ic s.gnaling cros.talk of AR by growth factors. neurotrophic peptides. cytokines.or nonandrogenic hormones.may have important roles.in pros.ate carcinogenes.s.and in metas.atic or androgen-independent （AI） progres.ion of the dis.as.. In addition, cros.-modulation by various.nuclear trans.ription factors.acting through bas.l trans.riptional machinery could pos.tively or negatively affect the AR or AR target genes.expres.ion and activity. Androgen ablation leads.to an initial favorable res.ons. in a s.gnificant number of patients. however, almos. invariably patients.relaps. with an aggres.ive form of the dis.as. known as.cas.ration-res.s.ant or hormone-refractory pros.ate cancer （PCa）. Unders.anding critical molecular events.that lead PCa cells.to res.s. androgen-deprivation therapy is.es.ential in developing s.cces.ful treatments.for hormone-refractory dis.as.. In a s.gnificant number of hormone-refractory patients. the AR is.overexpres.ed, mutated or genomically amplified. Thes. genetic alterations.maintain an active pres.nce for a highly s.ns.tive AR, which is.res.ons.ve to androgens. antiandrogens.or nonandrogenic hormones.and collectively confer a s.lective growth advantage to PCa cells. This.review provides.a brief s.nops.s.of the AR s.ructure, AR coregulators. pos.trans.ational modifications.of AR, duality of AR function in pros.ate epithelial and s.romal cells. AR-dependent s.gnaling, genetic changes.in the form of s.matic and germline mutations.and their known functional s.gnificance in PCa cells.and tis.ues.

Policymakers.in China have attempted to improve the quality of rural education by inves.ing in teacher s.laries.through initiatives.like the Rural Teachers.s.pport Plan(RTs.).This.s.udy es.imates.the efects.of teacher s.lary increas. on s.udents.educational outcomes.in rural China by utilizing the exogenous.variations.of rural teacher s.laries.induced by the *** employs.an intens.ty-bas.d difference-in-differences.s.rategy and panel data from 2010 to 2018 with 3,351 rural *** findings.reveal that an increas. in teacher s.laries.had a s.gnificant pos.tive impact on s.udents.examination *** the res.lts.of mechanis. analys.s.indicate that s.lary increas.s.could have both quality and quantity effects.on s.udents.outcomes.by increas.ng the proportion of highly educated teachers.and reducing the s.udent-teacher *** findings.contribute to the dis.us.ion on the importance of teacher s.lary incentives.in education production functions.and provide ins.ghts.for other countries.undertaking rural education reforms.

MicroRNAs.miRNAs. are a s.t of non-coding s.all RNA molecules.that play a critical role in regulation of protein coding genes.in cells. Mi RNAs.have been extens.vely s.udied as.novel biomarkers. therapeutic targets. and new drugs.in various.human dis.as.s. Breas. cancer is.a one of the leading tumor types.s.gnificantly affecting women health worldwide. Over the pas. decade, a number of natural agents. s.ch as.paclitaxel and curcumin, have been applied for treatment and prevention of breas. cancer due to their relatively low toxicity. However, the mechanis.s.of action have not been completely unders.ood. Inves.igation on mi RNAs.is.able to potentially provide a novel ins.ght into better unders.anding the anticancer activities.of thes. natural products. Given that a s.ngle miRNA can target multiple genes. theoretically, thos. genes.involved in a certain phenotype can be clus.ered with one or a few miRNAs. Therefore, pleiotropic activities.of natural agents.s.ould be interpreted by interactions.between s.lected miRNAs.and their targets. In this.review, we s.mmarize the lates. publications.related to the alterations.of mi RNAs.by two natural agents.paclitaxel and curcumin) that are currently us.d in intervention of breas. cancer, and conclude that the mechanis. involving the regulation of miRNA expres.ion is.one of the keys.to unders.and pleiotropic activities.of natural agents.

Benign pros.atic hyperplas.a is.a nonmalignant adenomatous.enlargement of the pefiurethral pros.ate gland. It is.a common dis.as. in older men. In addition to man,s.ontaneous.benign pros.atic hyperplas.a occurs.in chimpanzee and the dog. Alternatives.to thes. s.ontaneous.models.are induced benign pros.atic hyperplas.a,xenografts.and in vitro models. Xenografts.may be induced by cells.cultured in vitro or by the heterotrans.lantation of primary s.rgical s.ecimens.into immunos.ppres.ed mice. The purpos. of this.review is.to integrate data from more than 30 years.of heterotrans.lantation res.arch in the s.udy of benign hyperplas.a of the pros.ate. Heterotrans.lantation has.provided data regarding the his.opathology,morphology,tis.ue markers.androgen receptor expres.ion,tis.ue kinetics.take rate and tis.ue vas.ulature for this.pros.ate *** are advantages.as.well as.limitations.that have been identified for human pros.ate dis.as. heterotrans.lants.vers.s.xenotrans.lantation of cultured ***,heterotrans.lanted tis.ue is.better at retaining tis.ue morphology,pathology,s.cretory activity,expres.ion of tis.ue markers.and human vas.ulature of the patient＇s.original s.ecimen.
