st.ess Relief Measurements in Young Adults and Adolescents—A Comparative Pilot st.dy with Different Relaxation Programs

Background: Chronic st.ess is a emotional challenge. Const.nt pressure presents a serious risk of damage to mental and physical health and hence is associated with increased incidence of various diseases. The ability to cope with chronic st.ess may be a function of psychological resilience including intellectual capacities, but more so of external factors such as life experience and education. Adolescents are more vulnerable to chronic st.ess than adults. The measures introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic brought up major societal problems. As both children and adolescents lost.their life anchors, the prevalence of st.ess in adolescents increased from 20% to 45%. Chronic psychological st.ess can impede the normal development of schoolchildren. It may cause anxiety, social withdrawal, interpersonal conflicts and aggression. This applies particularly to those in puberty, with the adolescent already facing unst.ble social bonds and elevated fear about the future. It is likely that the puberty cohort accounts for the dramatic increase in the prevalence of st.ess. Since it impacts public health, chronic st.ess among school-age children is increasingly taking on a socio-political dimension. Non-clinical st.ess intervention st.dies can invest.gate how to achieve st.ess reduction in school children. Methods: In a small pilot st.dy, we analysed the effects of a training program with four different st.ndard interventions, i.e. mindfulness training, progressive muscle reflection, autogenic training, and sound meditation. We obtained baseline scores of 10 st.ess-indicators, and re-test.d after the interventions were performed. Results: The four applied interventions resulted in a reduction of 8 (out of 10) st.ess-indicators, such as “feeling st.essed” or st.ess related symptoms (headaches, dizziness, sweating). Thermal performance of domed roof in air-conditioned spaces

Due to their thermal performance,domed roofs are one of the passive solutions that affect energy consumption in *** thermal performance of domed roofs has been invest.gated in many naturally ventilated ***,few st.dies have discussed their performance in conditioned ***,this st.dy introduces a computational comparison between domed and flat roofs to invest.gate their impact on thermal comfort inside a conditioned *** an earlier st.ge,field measurements were carried out inside a Bahraini mosque to acquire its indoor air conditions during the summer period of 2021,in addition to validating the computational *** findings of this st.dy confirm that,under mechanical cooling conditions,the flat roof offers a lower indoor temperature than the domed roof by 0.4℃and 0.1℃for open and closed doors,***,the air velocity is lower by approximately 0.01 m/s for both door *** overall PMV values of the flat roof are also lower by 0.07 and 0.01,while the PPD values are lower by 0.20,and 0.34 for open and closed doors,*** on these small differences,it can be concluded that the thermal performance of both roofing syst.ms behaves equally in conditioned ***,the air patterns are subst.ntially different,the overall thermal performance is *** similarity drives building designers to rethink the thermal performance of the domed roofs in air-conditioned spaces with such a hot climate,regardless of their aest.etic and acoust.cal behaviour.

Rational molecular design of efficient yellow-red dendrimer TADF for solution-processed OLEDs: a combined effect of subst.tution position and st.ength of the donors

The development of high-performance solution-processed red organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs) remains a challenge,particularly in terms of maintaining efficiency at high luminance. Here, we designed and synthesized four novel orange-red thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF) dendrimers that are solution-processable: 2GCz BP, 2DPACz BP, 2FBP2GCz and 2FBP2DPACz. We syst.matically invest.gated the effect of subst.tution position and st.ength of donors on the optoelectronic properties. The reverse intersyst.m crossing rate const.nt(kRISC) of the emitters having donors subst.tuted at positions 11and 12 of the dibenzo[a,c]phenazine(BP) is more than 10-times fast.r than that of compounds subst.tuted having donors subst.tuted at positions 3 and 6. Compound 2DPACz BP, containing st.onger donors than 2GCz BP, exhibits a red-shifted emission and smaller singlet-triplet energy splitting, ΔE_(st., of 0.01 e V. The solution-processed OLED with 10 wt% 2DPACz BP doped in m CP emitted at 640 nm and showed a maximum external quantum efficiency(EQE_(max)) of 7.8%, which was effectively maintained out to a luminance of 1,000 cd m-2. Such a device's performance at relevant display luminance is among the highest.for solution-processed red TADF OLEDs. The efficiency of the devices was improved significantly by using 4Cz IPN as an assist.nt dopant in a hyperfluorescence(HF) configuration, where the 2DPACz BP HF device shows an EQEmaxof 20.0% at λEL of 605 nm and remains high at 11.8% at a luminance of 1,000 cd m-2, which makes this device one of the highest.efficiency orange-to-red HF SP-OLEDs to date.

Radiation of a TM mode from an open end of a three-layer dielectric capillary

Modern trends in beam-driven radiation sources include the interaction of Cherenkov wakefields in open-ended circular waveguides with complicated dielectric linings, with a three-layer dielectric capillary recently proposed to reduce radiation divergence being a representative example [Opt. Lett. 45 5416(2020)]. We present a rigorous approach that allows for an analytical description of the electromagnetic processes that occur when the st.ucture is excited by a single waveguide TM mode. In other words, the corresponding canonical waveguide diffraction problem is solved in a rigorous formulation. This is a continuation of our previous papers which considered simpler cases with a homogeneous or two-layer dielectric filling. Here we use the same analytical approach based on the Wiener–Hopf–Fock technique and deal with the more complicated case of a three-layer dielectric lining. Using the obtained rigorous solution, we discuss the possibility of manipulating the far-field radiation pattern using a third layer made of a low permittivity material.
