In Vitro and in Silico Insights on the Biological Activities, Phenolic Compounds Composition of Hypericum perforatum L. Hairy Root Cultures

Three Hypericum perforatum hairy root lines(HR B,HR F and HR H)along with non-transformed roots were analyzed for phenolic compounds composition and in vitro enzyme inhibitory *** silico molecular modeling was performed to predict the interactions of the most representative phenolic compounds in HR clones with enzymes related to depression,neurodegeneration and *** analyses revealed that HR clones represent an efficient source of quinic acid and hydroxybenzoic acids,epicatechin and procyanidin derivatives,quercetin and kaempferol glycosides,as well numerous *** vitro antidepressant activity of HR extracts through monoamine oxidase A(MAO-A)inhibition was attributed to the production of oxygenated and prenylated *** neuroprotective potential of HR extracts was related to the accumulation of quercetin 6-C-glucoside,epicatechin,procyanidins andγ-mangostin isomers as potential inhibitors of acetylcholinesterase(AChE)and butyrylcholinesterase(BChE).Vanillic acid and prenylated xanthones in HR clones as promising inhibitors of tyrosinase additionally contributed to the neuroprotective *** preeminent xanthones in HR(γ-mangostin,mangiferin,garcinone C,garcinone E and 1,3,7-trihydroxy-6-metoxy-8-prenyl xanthone)along with the flavonol quercetin 6-C-glucoside effectively inhibitedα-amylase andα-glucosidase indicating the antidiabetic properties of HR *** roots of *** can be exploited for the preparation of novel phytoproducts with multi-biological activities.

Childhood brucellosis:Review of 317 cases

Objective:To describe the main epidemiological,clinical,and laboratory features,treatment options and outcome in children with ***:Retrospectively evaluated data were obtained from 317 pediatric patients with brucellosis that were treated at the university Clinic for Infectious Diseases and Febrile Conditions in Skopje,during the period from 1989 to *** medical records and follow-up protocols were used for ***:Childhood brucellosis composed 317(18.7%) of 1 691 patients with *** patients were median 9 years old,ranging from 7 months to 14 years,and 201(63.4%) were *** history was present in 197(62.1%),and direct contact with animals occurred in 140(44.2%) of the *** dominant manifestations were fever in 248(78.2%),joint pain in228(71.9%) and hepatomegaly in 216(68.1%).Organ affection was present in 206(65.0%)of the *** hundred and six(33.4%) of the patients were treated with combination composed of *** 211(66.6%) with three antimicrobial *** were registered in 21(6.6%).and therapeutic failures in 3(0.9%) of the ***:In endemic regions childhood brucellosis represents a significant part of human *** spectrum of clinical manifestations,frequent affection of various organ systems and possibility of relapses show that brucellosis could be a serious disease in this age *** presence of fever,joint pain,sweating,and affection of various systems in children from endemic regions should alert pediatricians for the possibility of brucellosis.

The complex systems approach offers an opportunity to replace the extant pre-dominant mechanistic view on sport-related *** emphasis on the environment-system relationship,the applications of complexity principles,and the use of nonlinear dynamics mathematical tools propose a deep change in sport *** dynamics,ecological dynamics,and network approaches have been successfully applied to the study of different sport-related behaviors,from movement patterns that emerge at different scales constrained by specific sport contexts to game *** benefit from the use of such approaches in the understanding of technical,tactical,or physical conditioning aspects which change their meaning and dilute their *** creation of new learning and training strategies for teams and individual athletes is a main practical *** challenges for the future are investigating the influence of key control parameters in the nonlinear behavior of athlete-environment systems and the possible relatedness of the dynamics and constraints acting at different spatio-temporal scales in team *** sport-related phenomena can make useful contributions to a better understanding of complex systems and vice-versa.

Nutrients accumulation in drainage channel sediments

The drainage channel network in Vojvodina,northern part of the Republic of Serbia,in total length of around 20,000 km,transfers excessive(under)ground waters from around 2.15 million ha of *** are mostly in direct connection with the surrounding arable agricultural land and are exposed to different run-off,leaching and/or wind erosion *** to urban areas,some channel sections serve as recipients of unrefined sewage and industrial waste *** flows and velocities,as well as the transportable capacity of fluvial materials(sediments) are relatively ***,in combination with other natural and anthropogenic impacts,contributes to sediment generation in the drainage channel *** on around 100 sediment samples from 46 channels,concentrations of primary nutrients(N,P and K) were elaborated in this *** concentrations of macronutrients in the channel sediments(e.g.N 1-1.2%,P 100-265 and K 100-380 mg 100 g-1) exceeded their content in surrounding arable land by a few ***,significantly higher nutrient concentrations(in average by 50%) were detected in downstream(***) channel *** excessive presence of observed elements in channel sediments,due to interactive processes between water and sediment material,can adversely influence the water quality and life conditions for channel biota and caused other negative environmental impacts such as *** results clearly confirm that the processes of nutrient accumulation in channel sediments are greater than those in the surrounding,mostly intensively arable land *** erosion of unprotected agricultural areas and sediment transport as the most important pollution pathways from the drainage basin to channel network may be essential factors responsible for detected condition of nutrient accumulation.

Setting out from the categories of totality and histori（ci）sm in Kosik＇s Dialectics of the Concrete, we look at the relationship between theory and praxis： empty, abstract totality versus concrete, reified and alienated practice （Lukacs, Habermas, Honneth）; a bad totality, in which the real polydimensional subject is replaced by the one-dimensional, mythologized, fetishized, and economistically reduced ＂subject＂ of consummation （Marcuse, Baudrillard）. The dialectics of concrete totality implies a marxistic critique of the ethical and juristic universalism, in the context of the ＂positive＂ side of globalization and political unilateralism, as a concrete, militant, hegemonistic, post-colonial, and neo-imperial practice （Apel, Habermas, Chomsky, Zinoviev）; globalization as totali（tari）zation, the ＂last man,＂ the ＂end of history,＂ and the ＂end＂ of dialectics in its neo-liberal, eschatological, empty ideological ＂realization＂（Hegel, Marx, Fukuyama, Arendt）; the totality of the （invariable） being as a pseudo-concrete and pseudo-dialectical ontologistic speculation （Heidegger）： A ＂return＂ to a concrete history and a return of the ＂positive＂ dialectics as a critical awareness, mind, and method in the discourse ＂game＂ of human＇s cognitive, creative, and practical powers. The assumption of Kosik＇s humanism is a synchrony of nature and history in the ＂absolute＂ totality of human＇s concrete existence （Lukacs, Goldmann, Adorno, Sartre, Kosik）.

Supervised fault diagnosis typically assumes that all the types of machinery failures are ***,in practice unknown types of defect,i.e.,novelties,may occur,whose detection is a challenging *** this paper,a novel fault diagnostic method is developed for both diagnostics and detection of *** this end,a sparse autoencoder-based multi-head Deep Neural Network(DNN)is presented to jointly learn a shared encoding representation for both unsupervised reconstruction and supervised classification of the monitoring *** detection of novelties is based on the reconstruction ***,the computational burden is reduced by directly training the multi-head DNN with rectified linear unit activation function,instead of performing the pre-training and fine-tuning phases required for classical *** addressed method is applied to a benchmark bearing case study and to experimental data acquired from a delta 3D *** results show that its performance is satisfactory both in detection of novelties and fault diagnosis,outperforming other state-of-the-art *** research proposes a novel fault diagnostics method which can not only diagnose the known type of defect,but also detect unknown types of defects.
