Few-shot incremental radar target recognition framework based on scattering-topology properties

The continuous emergence of new targets in open scenarios leads to a substantial decrease in the performance of Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar(ISAR)recognition ***,data scarcity further exacerbates the challenge of identifying new classes of ISAR *** this paper,a few-shot incremental target recognition framework based on Scattering-Topology Properties(STPIL)is ***,STPIL extracts scattering-topology properties of ISAR targets as recognition ***,the pseudo-incremental training strategy effectively alleviates the algorithm’s forgetting of old knowledge,and improves compatibility with new ***,a feature embedding network,with few parameters,is designed based on the graph neural *** embedding network is highly adaptable to changes in data ***,STPIL fully considers the joint distribution and marginal distribution in scattering features,and uses the Brownian distance metric module to make the scattering-topology features more *** results on both the simulation dataset and the public measured data indicate that STPIL can effectively balance new classes with old classes,and has superior performance to other advanced methods in the incremental recognition of targets.

There recently has been increasing interest in the research and application of the rotational Doppler effect(RDE),which paves a promising way to detect rotating objects remotely. In order to obtain more information about the rotating object from the rotational Doppler signal, composite vortex beams by coaxial superposition of orbital angular momentum(OAM) modes are often used as the probe beam. However, to the best of our knowledge, the RDE of composite vortex beams with arbitrary OAM spectra has not yet been comprehensively studied. In this paper, the correspondence between the OAM spectrum of a probe beam and the frequency spectrum of a rotational Doppler signal is theoretically analyzed. It is explicitly revealed that the RDE frequency spectrum of scattered light is related to the product of two autocorrelation functions: one from the OAM spectrum of probe beam and the other from the spiral spectrum of rotating object. On the basis of this relation, one can regulate the RDE frequency spectrum on demand via tailoring the OAM spectrum of the probe beam. As a proof of concept we design a special composite vortex beam to eliminate the broadening of the RDE spectrum induced by misalignment. These findings are of practical value in applications such as remote sensing and optical metrology.

In this paper,we present the development of our latest flapping-wing micro air vehicle(FW-MAV),named Explobird,which features two wings with a wingspan of 195 mm and weighs a mere 25.2 g,enabling it to accomplish vertical take-off and hover *** devised a novel gear-based mechanism for the flapping system to achieve high lift capability and reliability and conducted extensive testing and analysis on the wings to optimise power matching and lift *** Explobird can deliver a peak lift-to-weight ratio of 1.472 and an endurance time of 259 s during hover flight powered by a single-cell LiPo *** the inherent instability of the prototype,we discuss the derivatives of its longitudinal system,underscoring the importance of feedback control,position of the centre of gravity,and increased *** demonstrate the effect of damping enhancement on stability,we also designed a passive stable ***,the vehicle is actively stabilised in roll by adjusting the wing root bars and in pitch through high-authority tail control,whereas yaw is passively *** a series of flight tests,we successfully demonstrate that our prototype can perform vertical take-off and hover flight under wireless *** promising results position the Explobird as a robust vehicle with high lift capability,paving the way towards the use of FW-MAVs for carrying load equipment in multiple tasks.

We know about black holes primarily on two mass scales(e.g., see Figure 22 of ref. [1]). Supermassive black holes inhabit the centers of galaxies, where they sometimes power active galactic nuclei(AGN). Their populations can be probed through AGN surveys, tidal disruption event surveys, and(in the closest galaxies) stellar and gas dynamics in the innermost regions where the black hole dominates the gravitational potential.

Several autonomous navigation methods have been studied to reduce reliance on the ground stations. Geomagnetic navigation, gravity gradient navigation, and celestial navigation using optical sensors are typical autonomous navigation methods. Geomagnetic and gravity gradient navigation have low navigation accuracy (1301 m [1] and 235 m [2], respectively) due to the poor accuracy of the geomagnetic and gravity gradient maps.

Recently, researchers have proposed an emitter localization method based on passive synthetic aperture. However, the unknown residual frequency offset(RFO) between the transmitter and the receiver causes the received Doppler signal to shift, which affects the localization accuracy. To solve this issue, this paper proposes a RFO estimation method based on range migration fitting. Due to the high frequency modulation slope of the linear frequency modulation(LFM)-modulation radar signal, it is not affected by RFO in range compression. Therefore, the azimuth time can be estimated by fitting the peak value position of the pulse compression in range ***, the matched filters are designed under different RFOs. When the zero-Doppler time obtained by the matched filters is consistent with the estimated azimuth time, the given RFO is the real RFO between the transceivers. The simulation results show that the estimation error of azimuth distance does not exceed 20 m when the received signal duration is not less than 3 s, the pulse repetition frequency(PRF) of the transmitter radar signal is not less than 1 k Hz, the range detection is not larger than 1 000 km, and the signal noise ratio(SNR) is not less than –5 d B.

Based on 16 years of magnetic field observations from CHAMP and Swarm satellites,this study investigates the influence of the Interplanetary Magnetic Field(IMF)Bx component on the location and peak current density of the polar electrojets(PEJs).We find that the IMF Bx displays obvious local time,seasonal,and hemispherical effects on the PEJs,as follows:(1)Compared to other local times,its influence is weakest at dawn and dusk.(2)In the midnight sectors of both hemispheres,the IMF Bx tends to amplify the westward PEJ when it is0 in the Southern Hemisphere;this effect is relatively stronger in the local winter hemisphere.(3)At noontime,the IMF Bx intensifies the eastward current when it is0,it reduces the westward current;this effect is notably more prominent in the local summer hemisphere.(4)Moreover,the noontime eastward current shifts towards higher latitudes,while the midnight westward current migrates towards lower latitudes when IMF Bx is0 in the Southern Hemisphere.

A statistical analysis of the Kappa-type energy spectrum distribution of radiation belt electrons observed by Van Allen Probes

The energy spectrum of energetic electrons is a key factor representing the dynamic variations of Earth’s Van Allen radiation *** measurements have indicated that the commonly used Maxwellian and Kappa distributions are inadequate for capturing the realistic spectral distributions of radiation belt *** we adopt the Kappa-type(KT)distribution as the fitting function and perform a statistical analysis to investigate the radiation belt electron flux spectra observed by the Van Allen *** calculating the optimal values of the key KT distribution parameters(i.e.,κandθ2)from the observed spectral shapes,we fit the radiation belt electron fluxes at different L-shells under different geomagnetic *** this manner,we obtain typical values of the KT distribution parameters,which are statistically feasible for modeling the radiation belt electron flux profiles during either geomagnetically quiet or active periods.A comparison of the KT distribution model results with those using the Maxwellian or Kappa distribution reveals the advantage of the KT distribution for studying the overall properties of the radiation belt electron spectral distribution,which has important implications for deepening the current understanding of the radiation belt electron dynamics under evolving geomagnetic conditions.

The similarities and differences in inherent mechanism and characteristic frequency between the onedimensional(1D) poroelastic model and the layered White model were investigated. This investigation was conducted under the assumption that the rock was homogenous and isotropic at the mesoscopic scale. For the inherent mechanism, both models resulted from quasi-static flow in a slow P-wave diffusion mode, and the differences between them originated from saturated fluids and boundary conditions. On the other hand, for the characteristic frequencies of the models, the characteristic frequency of the 1D poroelastic model was first modified because the elastic constant and formula for calculating it were misused and then compared to that of the layered White model. Both of them moved towards higher frequencies with increasing permeability and decreasing viscosity and diffusion length. The differences between them were due to the diffusion length. The diffusion length for the 1D poroelastic model was determined by the sample length, whereas that for the layered White model was determined by the length of the representative elementary volume(REV). Subsequently, a numerical example was presented to demonstrate the similarities and differences between the models. Finally, published experimental data were interpreted using the 1D poroelastic model combined with the Cole-Cole *** prediction of the combined model was in good agreement with the experimental data, thereby validating the effectiveness of the 1D poroelastic model. Furthermore, the modified characteristic frequency in our study was much closer to the experimental data than the previous prediction, validating the effectiveness of our modification of the characteristic frequency of the 1D poroelastic model.
