The western region of Jilin Province is rich in wetland resources,and its biodiversity is rich. However in recent years,due to the reduction of natural precipitation,human activities and other causes,wetland shrivels and degenerates,biodiversity reduces,and ecosystem security is threatened. In this paper,the rivers and lakes connecting project in western Jilin Province is proposed to restore the damaged wetlands and protect important wetlands.

Evaluating the benefits of sediment and runoff reduction in different vegetation types is essential for studying the mechanisms of soil and water conservation on the Loess *** experiment was conducted in shrub-grass plots with nine levels of mixed vegetation coverage from 0% to 70%,three slopes(10°,15°,and 20°) and two rainfall intensities(1.0 and 2.5 mm/min).The results showed that the vegetation coverage and slope gradient significantly affect runoff and sediment ***-grass vegetation coverage had a significant effect on the runoff start-time,runoff flow velocity,runoff rate,and soil erosion rate on *** vegetation coverage could effectively delay the runoff starttime and decrease the runoff flow ***,the effects of the slope gradient on runoff and sediment yield are opposite to those of vegetation ***-grass vegetation coverage could effectively increase runoff and sediment yield reduction benefits,while their benefits were affected by the rainfall *** the 1.0 mm/min rainfall intensity,the reduction in the sediment production rate was greater than that under the 2.5 mm/min ***,when the shrub-grass vegetation coverage exceeded 42%,the runoff reduction benefit was more obvious at higher rainfall *** cumulative sediment yield increased with increasing cumulative runoff,and the rate of increase in the cumulative runoff was greater than that of the cumulative sediment yield with increasing of shrub-grass vegetation ***,there was a power function relationship between cumulative sediment yield and cumulative runoff yield(P <0.05).Our paper is expected to provide a good reference on the ecological environment and vegetation construction on the Loess Plateau.

In this study,the characteristics and changing trends of temperature,precipitation,and runoff in the upper Yellow river basin up Tangnag station are analyzed by using hydrological and meteorological data in the past 50 years from observation stations in the ***,in this study,the evolving trend of runoff in the future decades is forecasted in the basin based on the method of suppositional climate scenes *** results indicate temperature variation in the basin has an evident positive relation with global warming,and the precipitation variations are quite complicated in the basin because of differences of located geographic positions during the past 50 *** in the basin has been decreasing continually since the end of the 1980s because the mean temperature in the basin has been rising and precipitation in the main areas of runoff formation in the basin has been *** will largely decrease if precipitation decreases and temperature rises continuously,whereas runoff will increase if temperature is invariable and precipitation increases largely;the increase magnitude of runoff may be more than that of precipitation because of the synchronously increasing supply of meltwater from snow,glacier,and frozen soils in future several decades.

This paper takes the Tongyu County as an example, based on the evaluation indicator system of eco-environmental stress, using the method of the entropy- GM（1,1 ）, the eco-environmental stress is evaluated and forecasted, Results show that the shortage of water resources, the desertification, the salinization, the grassland degeneration and the population increase are major stress factors of eco-environment worsening in the Tongyu County; eco-environmental stress coefficient from 1994 to 2013 in the region was increasing year by year, and the stress degree jumped from level-Ⅲ to level-Ⅳ. The forecast results show that if the measures don＇t be taken to protect eco-environment, the stress coefficient still grows, and the stress degree aggravates. In view of the above situation, we take the measures to lighten eco-environment stress, and promote the coordi- nated development of resources, environment and social economy, which is linking rivers and lakes, water resources optimization, preventing and controlling the desertification and the salinization, improving the degenerated grassland.

Vulnerability of water Resources and Its Spatial Heterogeneity in Haihe river basin, China

To manage water resources effectively, a multiscale assessment of the vulnerability of water resources on the basis of political boundaries and watersheds is necessary. This study addressed issues on the vulnerability of water resources and provided a multiscale comparison of spatial heterogeneity under a climate change background. Using improved quantitative evaluation methods of vulnerabil- ity, the Theil index and the Shannon-Weaver index, we evaluated the vulnerability of water resources and its spatial heterogeneity in the Haihe river basin in four scales, namely, second-class water resource regions （Class II WRRs）, third-class water resource regions （Class III WRRs）, Province-Class II WRRs, and Province-Class III WRRs. Results show that vulnerability enhances from the north to south in the different scales, and shows obvious spatial heterogeneity instead of moving toward convergence in multiscale assessment results. Among the Class II WRRs, the Tuhai-Majia river is the most vulnerable area, and the vulnerability of the Luanhe river is lower than that of the north of the Haihe river basin, which in turn is lower than that of the south of the Haihe river basin. In the scales of Class III WRRs and Province-Class III WRRs, the vulnerability shows obvious spatial heterogeneity and diversity measured by the Theil index and the Shannon-Weaver index. Multiscale vulnerability assessment results based on political boundaries and the watersheds of the Haihe river basin innovatively provided in this paper are important and useful to characterize the real spatial pattern of the vulnerability of water resources and improve water resource management.

In this paper,15 rivers and 10 lake reservoirs in the Liaohe river basin were taken as research objects. Based on six indexes: satisfaction situation of ecological water demand,standard-reaching rate of water quality in water function area,eutrophication index of lakes and reservoirs,longitudinal connectivity of rivers,reserve rate of important wetlands and status of important aquatic habitat,water ecological conditions of main rivers and lakes in the basin were evaluated. The results showed that the rivers with better ecology were mainly distributed in east mountainous area of Liaoning,such as the upper reaches of the Hunhe river and the Taizi river;the problems of water pollution,ecological water shortage and habitat shrinkage were widespread in the Liaohe river basin,and the situation of water ecological security in the Liaohe river basin still faced great pressure.

All rivers in the Hexi inland region of Gansu Province, China, originate from the northern slope of the Qilian Mountains. They are located in the southern portion of the region and respectively belong to the three large river systems from east to west, the Shiyang, Heihe and Shule river basins. These rivers are supplied by precipitation, snowmelt and ice-melt runoff from the Qilian Mountain area. Therefore, changes of precipitation and temperature in the upstream watersheds of these rivers have an important effect on changes of mountainous runoff and reasonable utilization of water resources in this region. For this reason, the Qilian Mountain area, upstream watersheds and runoff forming areas of these rivers are chosen as the study area. The change characteristics and variation trend of temperature and precipitation in this area under the backdrop of global warming axe analyzed based on observa- tional data of relational weather and hydrologic stations in the area. Results show that temperatures in the upriver mountain areas of these three large river basins have been increasing, although the increasing degree is differentially affected by global warming. The rising extent of annual and seasonal temperatures in the upstream mountain area of the Shule river basin located in the west- em Qilian Mountains, were all largest over the past 50 years. Precipitation in the upstream mountain areas of Hexi region＇ three river basins located respectively in the western, middle and eastern Qilian Mountains have been presenting an increasing trend to varying degrees as a whole for more than 50 years. This means that climate in the upstream mountain areas of Hexi region＇ three river basins are becoming increasingly warmer and moister over the past 50 years, which will be very good for the ecological en- vironment and agricultural production in the region.

Response of runoff in the headwater region of the Yellow river to climate change and its sensitivity analysis

Response of the runoff in the headwater region of the Yellow river to climate change and its sensibility are analyzed based on the measured data at the four hydrological stations and ten weather stations during the period 1959-2008. The result indicates that change of temperature in the region has an obvious corresponding relationship with global warming and the changes of annual average temperature in each subregion in the region have been presenting a fluctuant and rising state in the past 50 years. However the change of precipitation is more intricate than the change of temperature in the region because of the influences of the different geographical positions and environments in various areas, and the change of annual precipitation in the main runoff-producing area has been presenting a fluctuant and decreasing state in the past 50 years. And there is a remarkable nonlinear correlativity between runoff and precipitation and temperature in the region. The runoff in the region has been decreasing continuously since 1990 because the precipitation in the main run-off-producing area obviously decreases and the annual average temperature continuously rises. As a whole, the runoff in each subregion of the headwater region of the Yellow river is quite sensitive to precipitation change, while the runoff in the subregion above Jimai is more sensitive to temperature change than that in the others in the region, correspondingly.

As an important river in the western part of Jilin Province,the lower reach of the Nenjiang river is an important wetland water source conservation area in Jilin *** the watershed,it governs the Momoge Wetland,the Xianghai Wetland,and the Danjiang Wetland in Jilin *** main problem in the lower reaches of the Nenjiang river is the uneven distribution of water resources in time and space,and the intensification of land *** County and Da an City in the Nenjiang river basin have sufficient surface water resources,with surface water as the drinking water *** City and Tongyu County have scarce surface water resources,and both use groundwater as their domestic water *** main polluted section in the basin is the Xianghai Reservoir,and the annual water quality evaluation is Class ***,the water quality of the Tao er river,the main stream of the Nenjiang river,is significantly better than that of the Xianghai *** order to better study the water environmental pollution situation in the Nenjiang river basin,monitoring data from five sections of non seasonal rivers in the basin from 2012 to 2021 were selected for studying water *** in-depth exploration of the water pollution status and river water quality change trends in the Nenjiang river basin is of great significance for future rural development,agricultural pattern transformation,and the promotion of water ecological civilization construction.
