Effects of Flowering Mode and Pollinator Sharing on Reproductive Success in Natural Hybrid of Two Epimedium(Berberidaceae)Species

Mediated by pollenﬂow,natural hybridization is deemed a crucial factor that propels speciation inﬂoral *** the fact that the diversity of Epimedium species is concentrated mainly in Southwestern China,the poten-tial impact of interspeciﬁc pollination on natural hybridization has yet to be empirically *** explore this,we studied theﬂowering period and the visitors ofﬂowers in three frequently overlapping Epimedium species at Jinchengshan National Forest Park,located in Nanchong,Sichuan ***,we performed a ser-ies of pollination experiments to examine breeding systems and hybrid ***,Epime-dium pubescens and Epimedium wushanense are clearly distinct and easily recognizable byﬂower morphology,while the putative hybrid is morphologically intermediate between *** observation revealed that ***-escens and *** had 15 days of overlapping *** species are self-incompatible and require pol-linator services for successful *** their pollinators differ in quantity and species,Lasioglossum sp.(Hymenoptera:Halictidae)visited all three ***ﬁcial pollination revealed no breeding barriers among the three species,and the resulting hybrid seeds exhibited *** overlapping time ofﬂowering,commonﬂoral visitors,and compatibility of hybrids may be important factors contributing to successful interspeciﬁc pol-lination and speciation for natural hybrid species of *** and ***,the role of potential interspeciﬁc pollination is crucial for hybrid speciation and the evolutionary dynamics of Epimedium species.

Exploring Tourists’Low-carbon Cognition and Influencing Factors from the Dimension of Education Level

The cognition of low-carbon tourism among tourists is closely related to education *** this study,the degree of coordination of low-carbon cognition with different educational levels is assessed by the coupling model in Wutai Mountain,and the effect of each factor on low-carbon cognition is analyzed by the geographical *** results show that:(1)The six cognition aspects of low-carbon tourism gradually transition from the level of intermediate coordination to good coordination with the advancement of the education *** the low-level and lower-level tourists belong to the lag type of low-carbon visiting cognition,and the higher-level tourists belong to the lag type of low-carbon shopping cognition,while the high-level tourists show the lag type of low-carbon food cognition.(2)According to the individual factors and interactive effects in the geographical detector,each impacting factor has a decisive effect on tourists’cognition of low-carbon tourism,and the effect of any two factors after interaction shows either a double-factor or nonlinear *** findings of this study provide valuable practical implications for helping tourism destinations to educate tourists and improve their low-carbon tourism *** the same time,this study will provide theoretical standards for measuring tourists’cognition of low-carbon tourism,so as to enrich and improve the theoretical research related to low-carbon tourism.

Theoretical screening of cooperative N-bridged dual-atom sites for efficient electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction with remolding insight

The electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(e-NRR)is a promising alternative method for the Haber–Bosch ***,it still faces many challenges in searching for high activity,stability,and selectivity catalysts and ascertaining the catalytic mechanism with complete ***,a series of graphene-based N-bridged dual-atom catalysts(M1-N-M2/NC)are systematically investigated via first-principle calculation and a high-throughput screening *** result unveils that N_(2) adsorption on M1-N-M2/NC in bridge-on adsorption mode can effectively break the scaling relationship on single-atom catalysts(SACs).Moreover,V-N-Ru/NC and V-N-Os/NC are systematically screened out as promising e-NRR catalysts,with extremely low limiting potentials of-0.20 and-0.18 V,***,the adsorption site competition between*N_(2) and*H,as well as the competitive twin reactions of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)on intermediates(N_(n)H_(m))during the e-NRR process,is systematically evaluated to form a remodeling insight for the reactions in mechanism,and the e-NRR of new proposed dual-atom catalysts(DACs)is strategically optimized for its high-efficiency performance potential via our remolding insight in e-NRR *** work provides new ideas and insights for the design and mechanism of e-NRR catalysts and an effective strategy for rapidly screening highly efficient e-NRR catalysts.

Photo-stimuli responsive materials show great potential in the fields of information encryption and storage due to their distinctive spatial or temporal color ***,the conventional single or multi-color static outputs by light stimulus difficulty meet practical requirements for high-security optical storage ***,a novel dynamic irradiation-responsive phosphor of Na_(2)Ba_(2)Si_(2)O_(7):Eu is demonstrated,exhibiting high storage stability and convenient readout *** inherent Eu^(2+)luminescence can be dynamically tuned,instantly read out,and conveniently erased by controlling irradiation duration of a portable diode laser(365 nm).The modulation mechanism is unraveled by optically induced oxidation reactions of Eu^(2+)→Eu^(3+)and defects as killer *** excellent luminescence modulation degree(ΔR_(t)=89.5%)and the accompanying larger color contrast enable the creation of invisible optical codes with multi-level encryption in bright or dark *** results indicate potential applications of Na_(2)Ba_(2)Si_(2)O_(7):-based materials in information encryption and invisible optical storage,and are expected to expand more investigations on optically induced PL modulation behaviors based on mixed valences and defects.

BCCLR:A Skeleton-Based Action Recognition with Graph Convolutional Network Combining Behavior Dependence and Context Clues

In recent years,skeleton-based action recognition has made great achievements in Computer Vision.A graph convolutional network(GCN)is effective for action recognition,modelling the human skeleton as a spatio-temporal *** GCNs define the graph topology by physical relations of the human ***,this predefined graph ignores the spatial relationship between non-adjacent joint pairs in special actions and the behavior dependence between joint pairs,resulting in a low recognition rate for specific actions with implicit correlation between joint *** addition,existing methods ignore the trend correlation between adjacent frames within an action and context clues,leading to erroneous action recognition with similar ***,this study proposes a learnable GCN based on behavior dependence,which considers implicit joint correlation by constructing a dynamic learnable graph with extraction of specific behavior dependence of joint *** using the weight relationship between the joint pairs,an adaptive model is *** also designs a self-attention module to obtain their inter-frame topological relationship for exploring the context of *** the shared topology and the multi-head self-attention map,the module obtains the context-based clue topology to update the dynamic graph convolution,achieving accurate recognition of different actions with similar *** experiments on public datasets demonstrate that the proposed method achieves better results and realizes higher quality representation of actions under various evaluation protocols compared to state-of-the-art methods.

Introduction of Western Medicines into China and Improvement on Decoctions during Modern China

During the late Qing dynasty(1840 A.D.-1912 A.D.),a large quantity of Western medicines entered China,which continuously impacted the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)market and revealed the shortcomings of Chinese *** personages in the TCM community followed the trend of learning from the West,and attempted to reform TCM,with the improvement on decoction becoming an important aspect of this *** debates and trials,the improvement on decoction underwent three stages of conceptual evolution:“taking Chinese medicines as the foundation and referring to the dosage forms of Western medicines”,“introducing Western techniques to serve the preparation of decoctions”and“integrating the theories of TCM and Western medicine to improve decoctions”.The study highlights the effective complementarity between modern TCM and Western medicine in the field of pharmacy,and provides valuable experience and support for the reevaluation of the value of TCM in contemporary society.

A hydrogen-bonded organic framework containing fluorescent carbazole and responsive pyridyl units for sensing organic acids

Hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks(HOFs)are a promising candidate for optical sensing,but the lack of effective design strategies poses significant challenges to the construction of HOFs for organic acid *** this work,the first HOF for organic acid sensing is reported by constructing a multiplepyridine carbazole-based dense HOF,namely HOF-FJU-206,from a tripyridine-carbazole molecular 3,6-bis(pyridin-4-yl)-9-(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)-9H-carbazole(CPPY)with carbazole center for luminescence,pyridyl sites for its responsive of hydrogen proton,and narrow channels in the dense framework for the diffusion of hydrogen ***-FJU-206 exhibits differential responsively fluorescence sensing and recovery properties to formic,acetic,and propionic acids with different molecular sizes and p Kavalue(acid dissociation constant).The dissociation degree of various acids can be determined by analyzing the slope of changes in both peak wavelength and intensity of in-situ fluorescence,which easily enables the dual-corrective recognition of different *** varying degree of protonation at pyridine sites is proved to be the reason for differential sensing of various acids,as demonstrated by1H NMR spectra,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)characterization,and modeling studies.

Maize(Zea mays subspecies mays)is an important commercial crop across the world,and its flowering time is closely related to grain yield,plant cycle and latitude ***1 is an essential clock-regulated blue-light receptor with distinct functions on flowering time in plants,and its function in maize remains *** this study,we identified two FKF1 homologs in the maize genome,named ZmFKF1a and ZmFKF1b,and indicated that ZmFKF1a and ZmFKF1b independently regulate reproductive transition through interacting with ZmCONZ1 and ZmGI1 to increase the transcription levels of ZmCONZ1 and *** demonstrated that ZmFKF1b underwent artificial selection during modern breeding in China probably due to its role in geographical ***,our data suggested that ZmFKF1bHap_C7 may be an elite allele,which increases the abundance of ZmCONZ1 mRNA more efficiently and adapt to a wider range of temperature zone than that of ZmFKF1bHap_Z58 to promote maize floral *** extends our understanding of the genetic diversity of maize *** allele is expected to be introduced into tropical maize germplasm to enrich breeding resources and may improve the adaptability of maize at different climate zones,especially at temperate region.

Stylonema alsidii(Zandardini)Drew *** Zheng et Li is a common species in the genus Stylonema,but there are limited reports on morphological taxonomy and a lack of studies on life history and the regulation of early *** early development,discoid formation,and erect thallus growth of Stylonema alsidii *** were observed under laboratory *** addition,the influence of main environmental factors such as temperature and light intensity on its development was briefly studied,and various stages of its life history were *** result shows:(1)there are two reproductive modes:asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction;(2)the morphology of this species varies in different degrees under laboratory culture conditions;(3)sexual reproduction and asexual reproduction can coexist under suitable *** pathways of life history were inferred from experimental *** sporophytes form mature gametophytes by producing initially isolated or initially attached monospore,and mature gametophytes form mature sporophytes by fertilization of eggs and *** sexual and asexual reproduction processes of Stylonema alsidii *** were reported for the first time,and this is also the first report on sexual reproduction in the genus Stylonema.
