Dynamic Response Analysis of Semi-Submersible Floating Wind Turbine with Different Wave co.ditions

To address the problem of poor wave resistance of existing offshore floating wind turbines,a new type of semisubmersible platform with truncated-co.e-type upper pontoons is proposed by co.bining the characteristics of offshore wind turbine semi-submersible floating platforms.Based on the co.pled hydrodynamic,aerodynamic,and mooring force physical fields of FAST,the surge,heave,pitch,and yaw motions responses of the floating wind turbine under different wave heights and periods are obtained,and the mooring line tension responses are also obtained;and co.pare the dynamic response of the new semi-submersible platform with the OC4-DeepCwind platformat six degrees of freedom.The results show that different wave co.ditions have obvious effects on the heave and pitch motions of the new floating wind turbine,and fewer effects on the surge and yaw motions;the tensegrity response of the mooring system is more affected by the wave co.ditions;co.pared with the OC4-DeepCwind floating wind turbine,the pitch and roll response of the new floating wind turbine has been significantly reduced and has good stability.

Modern cement rotary kiln is often large in size while rotating in high speed. Thermal co.dition within a rotary kiln is rather co.plex, exerting severe thermal and chemical attack on refractory of its kiln lining. In the present paper, the cause that leads to refractory failure was analyzed; requirements for refractory to overco.e such failure was discussed. co.posites and properties of different refractories most often used as kiln lining were assessed, including magnesia - chrome bricks, magnesia spinel bricks, dolomite bricks, silico. carbide muUite bricks and castables etc. Reco.mendation was made for refractories with suitable co.posites and properties to be used as kiln lining in each specific zone to best co.nteract the severe thermal co.ditions. A co.t-effective co.figura- tion was presented to assemble kiln lining for rotary kiln＇s different zones in line with the regulation at JC/ T 2196-2013 ＂Specifications of refractory for cement rotary kiln＂. Chromite-free refractories with property of high endurance to thermal attack and co.rosion are required to be used in modern Pre-calcining cement rotary kilns.

The purpose of Engineering Procurement construction(EPC)general co.tracting project schedule management is to ensure that the project meets its deadlines,and it plays a critical role in co.tract performance.In co.parison to the domestic general co.tracting model,project management and co.rdination are more co.plex for the general co.tractor of international EPC projects.As a result,scientific project schedule process co.trol is critical to effectively ensuring project duration,saving project co.ts,improving project management level,and project quality,and ensuring that the project achieves the promised advantages for both the co.tractor and the owner.Through the research and analysis of the status of the schedule management of the Indonesia B Project Phase II cement project,co.responding optimization measures are proposed for the project schedule process co.trol.

Aiming at developing novel microwave-transparent ceramics with low dielectric loss,high thermal co.ductivity and high strength,Si3N4-AlN(30%,mass fraction) co.posite ceramics with La2O3 as sintering additive were prepared by hot-pressing at 1 800 °C and subsequently annealed at 1 450 °C and 1 850 °C for 2 h and 4 h,respectively.The materials were characterized by XRD and SEM.The effect of annealing process on the phase co.position,sintering performance,microstructure,bending strength,dielectric loss and thermal co.ductivity of the materials was investigated.The results showed that both annealing at 1 850 °C and 1 450 °C promoted the phase transformation of α-Si3N4 to β-Si3N4.After annealing at 1 850 °C,grain growth to a certain extent occurred in the materials.Especially,the elongated β-Si3N4 grains showed a slight increase in diameter from 0.2 μm to 0.6 μm approximately and a decrease in aspect ratio.As a result,as the annealing time increased to 4 h,the bending strength declined from 456 MPa to 390 MPa,whereas the dielectric loss decreased to 2.15×10-3 and the thermal co.ductivity increased to 16.3 W/(m·K) gradually.When annealed at 1 450 °C,increasing the annealing time to 4 h significantly promoted the crystallization of glassy phase to La2Si6N8O3 phase in the materials,which led to the increase in bending strength to 619 MPa and thermal co.ductivity to 15.9 W/(m·K),respectively,and simultaneously the decrease in dielectric loss to 1.53×10-3.

B-C Bond in Diamond Single Crystal Synthesized with h-BN Additive at High Pressure and High Temperature

The synthesis of diamond single crystal in the Fe64Ni36-C system with h-BN additive is investigated at pressure 6.5 GPa and temperature range of 1300-1400℃. The co.or of the obtained diamond crystals translates from yellow to dark green with increasing the h-BN addition. Fourier-transform infrared （FTIR） results indicate that sp2 hybridization B-N-B and B-N structures generate when the additive co.tent reaches a certain value in the system. The two peaks are located at 745 and 1425cm-1, respectively. Fhrthermore, the FTIR characteristic peak resulting from nitrogen pairs is noticed and it tends to vanish when the h-BN addition reaches 1.1 wt%. Furthermore, Raman peak of the synthesized diamond shifts down to a lower wavenumber with increasing the h-BN ~ddition co.tent in the synthesis system.

Performances of belite-rich Portland cement, or HBC (high belite cement), and the resultant co.crete are introduced by co.paring with that of alite based PC (Portland cement) and co.crete. The co.parison study of cement properties indicates that HBC possesses the properties of less water demand for normal co.sistency, better co.patibility with water reducer, higher later age strength after 28-day under standard curing temperature of 20 °C, unique strength gain under elevated curing temperatures of 38~70 °C, lower hydration heat evolution and temperature rise, lower drying shrinkage and excellent resistance to sulphate attack. These results have been demonstrated by the co.parison performance evaluation of co.cretes prepared by HBC and PC in terms of workability, physical mechanical properties and durability when making high performance high strength co.crete and massive co.crete.

Surface deterioration occurs more easily in nickel-rich cathode materials with the increase of nickel co.tent.To simultaneously pre-vent deterioration of active cathode materials and improve the electrochemical performance of the nickel-rich cathode material,the surface of nickel-rich LiNi_(0.6)co.(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)cathode material is deco.ated with the stable structure and co.ductive Li_(3)PO_(4)by a facile method.The LiNi_(0.6)co.(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)-1wt%,2wt%,3wt%Li_(3)PO_(4)samples deliver a high-capacity retention of more than 85%after 100 cycles at 1 C under a high voltage of 4.5 V.The effect of different co.ting amounts(0-5wt%)for the LiNi_(0.6)co.(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)cathode is analyzed in detail.Results show that 2wt%co.ting of Li_(3)PO_(4)gives better performance co.pared to other co.ting co.centrations.Detailed analysis of the structure of the samples during the charge−discharge process is performed by in-situ X-ray diffraction.It is indicated that the modification for LiNi_(0.6)co.(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)cathode co.ld protect the well-layered structure under high voltages.In co.sequence,the electrochemical performance of modified samples is greatly improved.

Chemical design of SiO_(2)-based glasses with high elastic moduli and low weight is of great interest.However,it is difficult to find a universal expression to predict the elastic moduli acco.ding to the glass co.position before synthesis since the elastic moduli are a co.plex function of interatomic bonds and their ordering at different length scales.Here we show that the densities and elastic moduli of SiO_(2)-based glasses can be efficiently predicted by machine learning(ML)techniques across a co.plex co.positional space with multiple(>10)types of additive oxides besides SiO_(2).Our machine learning approach relies on a training set generated by high-throughput molecular dynamic(MD)simulations,a set of elaborately co.structed descriptors that bridges the empirical statistical modeling with the fundamental physics of interatomic bonding,and a statistical learning/predicting model developed by implementing least absolute shrinkage and selection operator with a gradient boost machine(GBM-LASSO).

Currently, phosphate based glasses have been potential future biomaterial for medical application due to excellent cytoco.patibility and fully bioresorbability. In this study, phosphate based glass system with co.position of 48P2O5-12B2O3-(25-X)MgO-14CaO-1Na2O-(X)Fe2O3 (X = 6, 8, 10) and 45P2O5-(Y)B2O3-(32-Y)MgO-14CaO-1Na2O-8Fe2O3 (Y = 12, 15, 20), was prepared via a melting quenching process. The effect of replacing MgO with Fe2O3 and B2O3 on the structural, thermal, degradation properties of phosphate based glass was investigated. Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrosco.y and Raman spectrosco.y analysis co.firmed the polymerisation of phosphate based glass network with addition of Fe2O3, thus the processing window was observed to increase whilst the dissolution rate was reduced, attributed to the formation of Fe-O-P cross-link. As the effect on the glass structure stability was demonstrated by both B2O3 and MgO, the nonlinear variation of thermal stability and degradation behaviour was observed for glass system with substitution of MgO by B2O3. However, due to the lower dissolution rate of glass system when co.pared to the bioco.patible phosphate based glass in preliminary study, the expected cytoco.patibility co.ld be co.firmed in the downstream activities.
