Background:Questioned document examination(QDE)is a crucial sub-discipline of forensic science,and over the years,this discipline has developed a vast amount of research results and ***,the current studies have only reviewed the development of QDE for a period of time or a particular research direction,lacking a comprehensive review of this discipline since its ***:The aim of this study is to utilize bibliometric methods to review the history and development of QDE since 1934 and also to predict its future research ***:This study collects the literature of questioned document examination(QDE)from the Web of science Core Collection database and uses four bibliometric analysis tools:CiteSpace,VOSviewer,SciMAT,and Bibliometric,to process relevant literature ***:Through the analysis methods of journal co-citation analysis,keyword co-occurrence network analysis,literature cocitation analysis,and theme evolutionary analysis,the bibliometric data information in the QDE field is obtained,and a visualized knowledge mapping is ***:The results show that four research directions have been formed,*** far as the development trend of QDE research is concerned,the research field shows the change in content from cursory to detailed and in analysis from qualitative to quantitative,while the research field maintains a close relationship with chemical technology and computer ***:The changes in QDE can be attributed to advancements in science and technology,which have influenced research *** also has a legal aspect,with a focus on enhancing scientific accuracy and evidentiary *** developments aim to strengthen QDE’s identification power and promote its scientific and standardized *** will gradually enhance the reliability and strength of QDE evidence,making it more valuable in judicial practice.

Mutation Studies of 31 Highly Mutated Y-chromosomal Short Tandem Repeat Systems in the Han Population of Northern China

A six-color fluorescent multiplex amplification system for 31 Y-chromosomal short tandem repeats(Y-STRs)(DYS19,DYS390,DYS391,DYF399S1,DYF404S1,DYS439,DYS444,DYS449,DYS452,DYS456,DYS458,DYS460,DYS481,DYS508,DYS513,DYS516,DYS518,DYS543,DYS547,DYS549,DYS552,DYS557,DYS570,DYS576,DYS612,DYS622,DYS626,DYS627,DYS630,DYS635,and Y-GATA-A10)was developed for investigating the mutation rates of 31 highly mutated Y-STR genes in the Han population of northern *** mutation rates of the 31 highly mutated Y-STRs were calculated using the father-son pair study method after typing 526 Northern Han father-son pairs with this ***,148 Y-STR mutations were found,with mutation rates ranging from 0(95%confidence interval[CI]0 to 9.0×10^(−3),DYS622)to 7.0×10^(−2)(95%CI 5.1×10^(−2)to 9.7×10^(−2),DYF399S1).Out of these,126 father-son pairs were successfully identified,with a distinction rate of 24.0%(95%CI 20.4%-27.9%).The ability of the 31 highly mutated Y-STRs to distinguish closely related males from the same paternal lineage in the Northern Han population is extremely valuable for criminal investigations and other purposes.

The Transfer and Change of Paints in a Hit-and-run Motor Vehicle Accident

This work investigated transfer and change of paint evidences in a case of *** kinds of attachments were found on the clothes of the victim and they were initially considered paint fragments from the vehicle causing the *** spectroscopy(IR),scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer,and Microspectrophotometry were applied for examination of paints and clothing *** was detected in one of the attachments and in the clothing fibers of the victim by IR.A traffic accident simulation experiment was designed and conducted to research whether the polyester attachments come from suspected vehicle paints or victim’s clothing *** results showed that a melt mixture of transferred paints and clothing fiber was formed after a violent *** the amount of transferred paints was too low to be detectable in the mixture,the components detected by IR were mainly from clothing ***,we inferred that only one kind of attachment and paint fragments existed on the clothes of the victim,and the polyester attachments cannot be used to indicate the composition of suspected vehicle *** fibers and paints are both common trace evidence in traffic accident cases,and more attention should be paid to the examination of transferred paints on clothing fibers.

A Case of Two Full Sisters Share Identical Genotypes on the X Chromosome

X-chromosomal genetic markers are frequently employed in forensic parentage determination owing to their distinctive inheritance *** kinship analysis revealed that two sisters who were not identical twins had identical genotypes on the X chromosome,encompassing 36 X-chromosomal short tandem repeats(X-STRs)and 29 X-chromosomal single-nucleotide polymorphisms(X-SNPs)that spanned the whole X chromosome from the p-telomere to the *** identical X-STRs and X-SNPs in the daughters could be the result of linkage or a rare chance of *** highlights the need for careful analysis and interpretation when dealing with X chromosome markers and that in individual cases,even if two women share an allele at each locus,this does not necessarily mean that they are paternal *** likelihood of random concordance due to maternal alleles must be taken into account.

Worldwide,the incidence of major depressive disorder(MDD)is increasing annually,resulting in greater economic and social ***,the pathological mechanisms of MDD and the mechanisms underlying the effects of pharmacological treatments for MDD are complex and unclear,and additional diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for MDD still are *** currently widely accepted theories of MDD pathogenesis include the neurotransmitter and receptor hypothesis,hypothalamicpituitary-adrenal(HPA)axis hypothesis,cytokine hypothesis,neuroplasticity hypothesis and systemic influence hypothesis,but these hypothesis cannot completely explain the pathological mechanism of *** it is still hard to adopt only one hypothesis to completely reveal the pathogenesis of MDD,thus in recent years,great progress has been made in elucidating the roles of multiple organ interactions in the pathogenesis MDD and identifying novel therapeutic approaches and multitarget modulatory strategies,further revealing the disease features of ***,some newly discovered potential pharmacological targets and newly studied antidepressants have attracted widespread attention,some reagents have even been approved for clinical treatment and some novel therapeutic methods such as phototherapy and acupuncture have been discovered to have effective improvement for the depressive *** this work,we comprehensively summarize the latest research on the pathogenesis and diagnosis of MDD,preventive approaches and therapeutic medicines,as well as the related clinical trials.

Oscillating paramagnetic Meissner effect and Berezinskii-Kosterlitz-Thouless transition in underdoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ

Superconducting phase transitions in two dimensions lie beyond the description of the Ginzburg-Landau symmetry-breaking paradigm for three-dimensional *** are Berezinskii-KosterlitzThouless（BKT） transitions of paired-electron condensate driven by the unbinding of topological excitations,*** recently discovered monolayers of layered high-transition-temperature（TC）cuprate superconductor Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ（Bi2212） meant that this 2D superconductor promised to be ideal for the study of unconventional *** inhomogeneity posed challenges for distinguishing BKT physics from charge correlations in this ***,we utilize the phase sensitivity of scanning superconducting quantum interference device microscopy susceptometry to image the local magnetic response of underdoped Bi2212 from the monolayer to the bulk throughout its phase *** monolayer segregates into domains with independent phases at elevated temperatures below *** a single domain,we find that the susceptibility oscillates with flux between diamagnetism and paramagnetism in a Fraunhofer-like pattern up to *** finite modulation period,as well as the broadening of the peaks when approaching Tc from below,suggests well-defined vortices that are increasingly screened by the dissociation of vortex-antivortex plasma through a BKT *** the multilayers,the susceptibility oscillation differs in a small temperature regime below TC,consistent with a dimensional crossover led by interlayer *** as strong evidence for BKT transition in the bulk,we observe a sharp jump in phase stiffness and paramagnetism at small fields just below *** results unify the superconducting phase transitions from the monolayer to the bulk underdoped Bi2212,and can be collectively referred to as the BKT transition with interlayer coupling.

During criminal case investigations,blood evidence tracing is critical for criminal ***,the blood stains are often cleaned or covered up after the crime,resulting in trace residue and difficult ***,a highly sensitive and specific method for the rapid detection of human blood stains remains *** solve this problem,we established a nanozyme-based strip for rapid detection of blood evidence with high sensitivity and *** construct reliable nanozyme strips,we synthesized CoFe_(2)O_(4) nanozymes with high peroxidase-like activity by scaling up to gram level,which can be supplied for six million tests,and conjugated antibody as a detection probe in nanozyme *** developed CoFe_(2)O_(4) nanozyme strip can detect human hemoglobin(HGB)at a concentration as low as 1 ng/mL,which is 100 times lower than the commercially available colloidal gold strips(100 ng/mL).Moreover,this CoFe_(2)O_(4) nanozyme strip showed high generality on 12 substrates and high specificity to human HGB among 13 animal blood ***,we applied the developed CoFe_(2)O_(4) nanozyme strip to successfully detect blood stains in three real cases,where the current commercial colloidal gold strip failed to *** results suggest that the CoFe_(2)O_(4) nanozyme strip can be used as an effective on-scene detection method for human blood stains,and can further be used as a long-term preserved material evidence for traceability inquiry.

Background:The effects of acupuncture have varied in different randomized controlled trials(RCTs),and there are many factors that influence treatment effect of acupuncture in different outcomes,with conflicting ***:To identify factors and their impact on the treatment effect of acupuncture in different ***:Acupuncture RCTs were searched from 7 databases including Medline(Pub Med),Embase,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,VIP Database,and China Biology Medicine disc between January 1st,2015 and December 31st,*** studies must compare acupuncture to no acupuncture,sham acupuncture,or waiting lists,and report at least 1patient-important outcome.A multi-level meta-regression was conducted using a 3-level robust mixed model and univariate analyses were performed for all independent variables,even those excluded from the multivariable model due to *** used thresholds of 0.2 and 0.4 for the difference of standardized mean differences(SMDs),categorising them as small(0.4) ***:The pain construct analysis involved 211 effect estimates from 153 studies and 14 independent ***-frequency acupuncture treatment sessions produced larger effects compared to low-frequency sessions [large magnitude,the difference of adjusted SMDs 0.46,95% confidence interval(CI) 0.07 to 0.84;P=0.02].The non-pain symptoms construct analysis comprised 323 effect estimates from 231 studies and 15 independent *** acupuncture showed moderately larger effects when compared to non-penetrating acupuncture(0.30,95% CI 0.06 to 0.53;P=0.01).The function construct analysis included 495 effect estimates from 274 studies and 14 independent *** acupuncture and the flexible acupuncture regimen showed moderately larger effects,compared to non-penetrating acupuncture and fixed regimen,respectively(0.40,95% CI 0

OBJECTIVE:To assess the efficacy and safety of extracorporeal shockwave therapy(ESWT)combined with sodium hyaluronate(HA)for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS:PubM ed,Embase,the Cochrane Library,Web of science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang database,China science and Technology Journal Database,and sinoMed were searched from inception to July *** quality of the randomized controlled trials was evaluated independently by two reviewers according to the criteria in the Cochrane Collaboration for Systematic *** identified articles were then screened individually using EndnoteX9 for eligibility in this *** heterogeneity among the articles was evaluated using ***:A total of 17 studies,comprising 2000 individuals,were included in this *** results showed that a significant improvement was observed in knee pain and function based on the clinical efficacy of ESWT combined with *** analysis of clinical efficacy showed that[relative risk(RR)=1.21,95%confidence interval(CI)(1.12,1.30),Pevidence showed that ESWT combined with HA offers an inexpensive,welltolerated,safe,and effective method to improve pain and functionality in patients with ***,tightly controlled,randomized,large multicenter trials are warranted to validate the current findings.
