Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRIsPR screening. single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Construction of 3D porous Cu_(1.81)s/nitrogen-doped carbon frameworks for ultrafast and long-cycle life sodium-ion storage

Transition metal sulfides have great potential as anode mterials for sodium-ion batteries(sIBs)due to their high theoretical specific ***,the inferior intrinsic conductivity and large volume variation during sodiation-desodiation processes seriously affect its high-rate and long-cyde performance,unbeneficial for the application as fast-charging and long-cycling sIBs ***,the three-dimensional porous Cu_(1.81)s/nitrogen-doped carbon frameworks(Cu_(1.81)s/NC)are synthesized by the simple and facile sol-gel and annealing processes,which can accommodate the volumetric expansion of Cu_(1.81)s nanoparticles and accelerate the transmission of ions and electrons during Na^(+)insertion/extraction processes,exhibiting the excellent rate capability(250.6 mA·g^(-1)at 20.0 A·g^(-1))and ou.s.anding cycling stability(70% capacity retention for 6000 cycles at 10.0 A·g^(-1))for ***,the Na-ion full cells coupled with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode also demonstrate the satisfactory reversible specific capacity of 330.5 mAh·g^(-1)at 5.0 A·g^(-1)and long-cycle performance with the 86.9% capacity retention at 2.0 A·g^(-1)after 750 *** work proposes a promising way for the conversionbased metal sulfides for the applications as fast-charging sodium-ion battery anode.

Obstacle Avoidance Gloves for the Blind Based on ultrasonic sensor

Ranging based on the reflection principle of ultrasonic wave propagating in the air has been widely used in modern life, such as car reversing radar, robot automatic obstacle avoidance etc. Aiming at the situation that the blinds have no way to know whether there are obstacles or big safety risks in front of them when they are walking, this paper designed obstacle avoidance gloves for the blinds based on ultrasonic sensors. With Arduino Nano single chip microcomputer as main controller, combined with ultrasonic sensor module, bluetooth module and speaker module, the glove realized the function of obstacle detection and alarm. The main working principle is by using the ultrasonic sensors to transmit and receive ultrasonic, the time difference for transmitting and receiving to detect the distance of obstacles ahead. Besides, by means of voice module output audio signals with different frequency according to the obstacle distance, the blinds can judge the distance between them to the obstacles based on the sound with different frequencies they heard. In this way, they can make responses in advance to avoid the obstacles ahead and the happening of the risk.

A Review in the Core Technologies of 5G: Device-to-Device Communication, Multi-Access Edge Computing and Network Function Virtualization

5G is a new generation of mobile networking that aims to achieve unparalleled speed and performance. To accomplish this, three technologies, Device-to-Device communication (D2D), multi-access edge computing (MEC) and network function virtualization (NFV) with ClickOs, have been a significant part of 5G, and this paper mainly discu.s.s them. D2D enables direct communication between devices without the relay of base station. In 5G, a two-tier cellular network composed of traditional cellular network system and D2D is an efficient method for realizing high-speed communication. MEC unloads work from end devices and clou.s.platforms to widespread nodes, and connects the nodes together with ou.s.de devices and third-party providers, in order to diminish the overloading effect on any device caused by enormous applications and improve users’ quality of experience (QoE). There is also a NFV method in order to fulfill the 5G requirements. In this part, an optimized virtual machine for middle-boxes named ClickOs is introduced, and it is evaluated in several aspects. some middle boxes are being implemented in the ClickOs and proved to have ou.s.anding performances.

Eight-sided fortress: a lightweight block cipher

In this paper, we present a new lightweight block cipher named eight-sided fortress（EsF）, which is suitable for resource-constrained environments such as sensor networks and low-cost radio rrequency identification（RFID） tags. Meanwhile, we present the specification, design rationale and evaluation results in terms of the hardware implementation. For realizing both efficiency and security in embedded systems, similar to the other lightweight block ciphers, EsF is 64 bits block length and key size is 80 bits. It is inspired from existing block cipher, PREsENT and LBlock. The encryption algorithm of EsF is based on variant Feistel structure with sPN round function, used Feistel network as an overall structure with the purpose of minimizing computational resources.

Collective behaviors of suprachiasm nucleus neurons under different light–dark cycles

The principal circadian clock in the suprachiasm nucleus （sCN） regulates the circadian rhythm of physiological and behavioral activities of mammals. Except for the normal function of the circadian rhythm, the ensemble of sCN neurons may show two collective behaviors, i.e., a free running period in the absence of a light-dark cycle and an entrainment ability to an external T cycle. Experiments show that both the free running periods and the entrainment ranges may vary from one species to another and can be seriously influenced by the coupling among the sCN neurons. We here review the recent progress on how the heterogeneous couplings influence these two collective behaviors. We will show that in the case of homogeneous coupling, the free running period increases monotonically while the entrainment range decreases monotonically with the increase of the coupling strength. While in the case of heterogenous coupling, the dispersion of the coupling strength plays a crucial role. It has been found that the free running period decreases with the increase of the dispersion while the entrainment ability is enhanced by the dispersion. These findings provide new insights into the mechanism of the circadian clock in the sCN.

For space-based gravitational wave （GW） detection,the main noise source for massive black hole binaries （MBHBs） is attributed to approximately 10～7double white dwarf binaries in the *** a GW source,the amplitude of the detector response,recorded by a space-based gravitational wave detector,exhibits a modulation effect with a year period when observing the source from various orbital *** the adverse conditions mentioned above,where there is a strong foreground noise and annual modulation in the signals,we employed the wavelet transform and the strong-amplitude relevant orbital position search methods,which allows the weak MBHB sources to achieve higher locating *** detail,for two MBHB sources of lower intensity,the precision of luminosity distance,represented by the ratio ?DL/DLat the 95%confidence level,is enhanced by factors of ～*** angular resolutions,denoted by??s,are enhanced by a factor of ～*** improvements increase the number of detectable GW sources,facilitate multi-messenger follow-up observations and provide constraints on the cosmological constant.

First-principles calculation of the electronic band of ZnO doped with C

using the first-principles approach based upon the density functional theory （DFT）, we have studied the electronic structure of wurtzite ZnO systems doped with C at different sites. When Zn is su.s.ituted by C, the system turns from a direct band gap semiconductor into an indirect band gap semiconductor, and donor levels are formed. When O is su.s.ituted by C, acceptor levels are formed near the top of the valence band, and thus a p-type transformation of the system is achieved. When the two kinds of su.s.itution coexist, the acceptor levels are compensated for all cases, which is unfavorable for the p-type transformation of the system.

π-Conjugated polymers(CPs)represent one of the quite important and rapidly growing branches of flexible electrochromic *** hybrid CPs employing dibenzo pentacycles(fluorenes,carbazoles,dibenzothiophenes,and dibenzofuran)as the backbones have received considerable attention owing to their special structures and interesting electrochromic *** studies show that polymers from these structures exhibit decent contrast ratios,favorable coloration efficiencies,low switching voltages,fast response time,excellent stability,and color ***,their electrochromic properties significantly depend on fine-tailoring of precu.s.r monomer structures,and polymerization techniqu.s.and *** review devotes to showing a clear picture of the research progress of dibenzo pentacycle-centered CPs via electrochemical polymerization,including fluorenes,carbazoles,dibenzothiophenes,and dibenzofuran-based hybrid electrochromic *** influences of the tailored precu.s.r structures on their electropolymerization and resultant polymer performances are highlighted,aiming at providing an insight for the development of novel fused ring-based polymer electrochromic materials.
