20世纪初,粒状填充剂的使用使充气轮胎的生产发生了根本性的变化.一开始是为了降低成本,但不久人们就发现,这些粒状填充剂使轮胎性能得到了改善,在当时,实质上是大大提高了轮胎的耐磨性,也就是延长了轮胎的使用寿命.
