Vector graphic gives us a new solution to the representation of raster images. Among many types of vectorized representations, the most popular is mesh representation, which inherits the benefits of vector graphics. Inspired by mesh, we propose a novel patch-based representation for raster images, in which pixels are partitioned into regions, and pixels belonging to the same region are converted into a 3D point cloud and approximated by a 3D planar patch with proper boundaries in a variational way. The resulting patches are then encoded via a half-edge structure for storage. The key point is that the vertices of boundaries are not located on the very positions of sample points, i.e. converted pixels, but dependent on the optimal position of the patch,which theoretically reduces the fitting errors. Experiments show that our algorithm produces better results.

We discuss the nonlinear Schr6dinger equation with variable coefficients in 21） graded-index waveguides with different distributed transverse diffractions and obtain exact bright and dark soliton solutions. Based on these solutions, we mainly investigate the dynamical behaviors of solitons in three different diffraction decreasing waveguides with the hyperbolic, Gaussian and Logarithmic profiles. Results indicate that for the same parameters, the amplitude of bright solitons in the Logarithmic profile and the amplitude of dark solitons in the Gaussian profile are biggest respectively, and the amplitude in the hyperbolic profile is smallest, while the width of solitons has the opposite case.

We obtain exact spatial localized mode solutions of a(2+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation with constant diffraction and cubic-quintic nonlinearity in PT-symmetric potential, and study the linear stability of these solutions. Based on these results, we further derive exact spatial localized mode solutions in a cubic-quintic medium with harmonic and PT-symmetric potentials. Moreover, the dynamical behaviors of spatial localized modes in the exponential diffraction decreasing waveguide and the periodic distributed amplification system are investigated.

In the paper, after clarification of concepts about digital economy and the 'Belt and Road',the author analyzes the status quo of information infrastructure of countries along the route. And then, the author raises the idea that it needs to make joint efforts in the developing path of information, industry and intelligence ecosystems, so as to realize the global construction of the digital 'Belt and Road'. And in the essay, they are called 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0 versions of China’s going-out strategy respectively. Under such circumstances, the digital reform approaches of bridging digital gap of different countries are put forward,from the four different aspects of platform media, emerging technology, digital literacy and think tanks.

A study on ecological operation of web IP industrial chain

In recent years, since the Internet has given rise to mass creation and the intervention of industrial capital, China's web IP has experienced a "blowout" growth, which accelerates the development of the ecological operation of its industry chain a pressing issue, especially in the ecological environment via multi-media and "full-copyright" platforms. In the thesis, the author firstly talks about the ecological operation context of web IP, and then the existing problems of the ecological operation of web IP industrial chain, such as the insufficiency in copyright protection, the economic bubbles on its expansion, the lack of originals and the cash-out mentality toward currency. Therefore, the author comes into the conclusion that, there are enormous potentials for the ecological operation of web IP industrial chain. This demands further platforms across the multiple industrial running of web IP, building its brand through the development of"full-copyright". In one word, the life of web IP would be sustained with ecological progress in multimedia consumption, and the ecological operation of web IP industrial chain would be achieved in fact.

With the increasing focus on personal health in society, the media pays more and more attention to health issues. The media has the power to set agendas to create both public awareness and concern. The discourses they construct influence the shape of public opinion. This study merges corpus analysis and discourse studies to explore the discursive constructions around Chinese medicine in British newspapers. We found that the agenda surrounding traditional Chinese medicine set in British national newspapers is an important factor in imparting knowledge on Chinese medicine, influencing the understanding of issues the readers are concerned with, and shaping the public opinion on Chinese medicine.

A scheme of polarization-mode-dispersion(PMD)mitigation in a polarization-division-multiplexing(PDM)system is proposed and demonstrated with 2×10 Gb/s return−to-zero on-off-keying(RZ-OOK)*** mitigation for two polarization tributaries of the PDM signal is achieved based on the self-phase-modulation(SPM)effect and offset filtering in a polarization nonlinear loop *** improvement of eye-diagram-based signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)is 3.5 dB in the presence of a 7.2-ps differential-group delay(DGD)when the pulsewidth of the PDM signal is∼16.6 ps.
