Extraordinary synergy on 3D hierarchical porous Co-Cu nanocomposite for catalytic elimination of VOCs at low temperature and high space velocity

It is still a challenge to develop hierarchically nanostructured catalysts with simple approaches to enhance the low-temperature catalytic ***,a set of mesoporous Co-Cu binary metal oxides with different morphologies were successfully prepared via a facile ammonium bicarbonate precipitation method without any templates or surfactants,which were further applied for catalytic removal of carcinogenic *** the catalysts with different ratios,the CoCu_(0.2)composite oxide presented the best performance,where the temperature required for 90%conversion of toluene was only 237°C at the high weight hour space velocity(WHSV)of 240,000 mL/(gcat·hr).Meanwhile,compared to the related Co-Cu composite oxides prepared by using different precipitants(NaOH and H_(2)C_(2)O_(4)),the NH_(4)HCO_(3)-derived CoCu_(0.2)sample exhibited better catalytic efficiency in toluene oxidation,while the T90 were 22 and 28°C lower than those samples prepared by NaOH andH_(2)C_(2)O_(4)routes,*** on various characterizations,it could be deduced that the excellent performance was related to the small crystal size(6.7 nm),large specific surface area(77.0 m2/g),hollow hierarchical nanostructure with abundant high valence Co ions and adsorbed oxygen *** situ DRIFTS further revealed that the possible reaction pathway for the toluene oxidation over CoCu_(0.2)catalyst followed the route of absorbed toluene→benzyl alcohol→benzaldehyde→benzoic acid→carbonate→CO_(2)and H_(2)*** addition,CoCu_(0.2)sample could keep stable with long-time operation and occur little inactivation under humid condition(5 vol.%water),which revealed that the NH_(4)HCO_(3)-derived CoCu_(0.2)nanocatalyst possessed great potential in industrial applications for VOCs abatement.

Post-silking leaf senescence is delayed in low-N-tolerant maize cultivars under low N fertilization

A four-year field experiment was conducted with two cultivars and four N rate to investigate the spatio-temporal characteristics of leaf senescence in maize after silking and its response to N fertilizer rates on them, as well as to reveal the differences in post-silking chlorophyll degradation between low-N-tolerant cultivars. The results showed that the order of leaf senescence after silking in maize was lower leaf > upper leaf > ear leaf, leaf tip > middle > base. Increasing N fertilizer down-regulated the expression of ZmCLH2 and ZmPPH in the leaves at 10–30 d after silking, reducing CLH and PPH activities, thereby delaying the leaf senescence. These effects were more prominent in low-N-sensitive cultivar Xianyu 508 (XY508) than in low-N-tolerant cultivar Zhenghong 311 (ZH311), especially in the lower leaves and leaf tip. Under low N condition, leaf yellowing and chlorophyll degradation occurred later and slower in ZH311 than in XY508. This resulted in a higher post-silking dry matter accumulation and grain yield in ZH311, which may be one of the important physiological bases of low nitrogen tolerant cultivars. Future research should focus on developing low-N-tolerant maize cultivars with slower leaf senescence near the ear after silking. © 2024

Critical station identification of metro networks based on the integrated topological-functional algorithm:A case study of Chengdu

As a key mode of transportation, urban metro networks have significantly enhanced urban traffic environments and travel efficiency, making the identification of critical stations within these networks increasingly essential. This study presents a novel integrated topological-functional(ITF) algorithm for identifying critical nodes, combining topological metrics such as K-shell decomposition, node information entropy, and neighbor overlapping interaction with the functional attributes of passenger flow operations, while also considering the coupling effects between metro and bus networks. Using the Chengdu metro network as a case study, the effectiveness of the algorithm under different conditions is *** results indicate significant differences in passenger flow patterns between working and non-working days, leading to varying sets of critical nodes across these scenarios. Moreover, the ITF algorithm demonstrates a marked improvement in the accuracy of critical node identification compared to existing methods. This conclusion is supported by the analysis of changes in the overall network structure and relative global operational efficiency following targeted attacks on the identified critical nodes. The findings provide valuable insight into urban transportation planning, offering theoretical and practical guidance for improving metro network safety and resilience.

Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization contains new concepts, ideas, and strategies that feature Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the times and promote the progress of human civilization. Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization is also the fundamental guide for compliance and action in terms of China's practices in building an ecological civilization in the new era. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC), Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has made several inspection tours to sichuan and given a series of important instructions on green development and building an ecological civilization in sichuan province. This paper reviews the contemporary meaning and theoretical significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and uses them to systematically examine the overall performance of building a beautiful sichuan, following the guidance of Xi Jinping's important instructions for the governance of sichuan. This paper selects and analyzes typical cases that demonstrate the national effect in sichuan to summarize sichuan's unique experiences in the practice of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization.

Analyzing carbon emissions and influencing factors in Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration counties

Majority of carbon emissions originate from fossil energy consumption,thus necessitating calculation and monitoring of carbon emissions from energy *** this study,we utilized energy consumption data from sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality for the years 2000 to 2019 to estimate their statistical carbon *** then employed nighttime light data to downscale and infer the spatial distribution of carbon emissions at the county level within the Chengdu-Chongqing urban ***,we analyzed the spatial pattern of carbon emissions at the county level using the coefficient of variation and spatial autocorrelation,and we used the Geographically and Temporally Weighted Regression(GTWR)model to analyze the influencing factors of carbon emissions at this *** results of this study are as follows:(1)from 2000 to 2019,the overall carbon emissions in the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration showed an increasing trend followed by a decrease,with an average annual growth rate of 4.24%.However,in recent years,it has stabilized,and 2012 was the peak year for carbon emissions in the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration;(2)carbon emissions exhibited significant spatial clustering,with high-high clustering observed in the core urban areas of Chengdu and Chongqing and low-low clustering in the southern counties of the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration;(3)factors such as GDP,population(Pop),urbanization rate(Ur),and industrialization structure(Ic)all showed a significant influence on carbon emissions;(4)the spatial heterogeneity of each influencing factor was evident.
