Spatial-temporal Heterogeneity of Industrial Structure Transformation and Carbon Emission Effects in Xuzhou Metropolitan Area

Employing decoupling index and industrial structure characteristic bias index methods, this study analyzed the spatial-temporal characteristics of industrial structure transformations and their resulting carbon emissions in the Xuzhou Metropolitan Area from 2000 to 2014, with a focus on their relationships and driving factors. Our research indicates that carbon emission intensity from industrial structures in the Xuzhou Metropolitan Area at first showed an increasing trend, which then decreased. Furthermore, the relationship between emissions and industrial economic growth has been trending toward absolute decoupling. From the perspective of the center-periphery, the Xuzhou Metropolitan Area formed a concentric pattern, where both progress towards low emissions and the level of technological advancement gradually diminished from the center to the periphery. In terms of variation across provinces, the ISCB index in the eastern Henan has decreased the slowest, followed by the southern Shandong and the northern Anhui, with the northern Jiangsu ranking last. During this period, resource-and labor-intensive industries were the primary growth industries in the northern Anhui and the eastern Henan, while labor-intensive industries dominated the southern Shandong and capital-intensive industries dominated the northern Jiangsu. In terms of city types, the spatial pattern for industrial structure indicates that recession resource-based cities had higher carbon emission intensities than mature resource-based cities, followed by non-resource-based cities and regenerative resource-based cities. Generally, the industrial structure in the Xuzhou Metropolitan Area has transformed from being resource-intensive to capital-intensive, and has been trending toward technology-intensive as resource availability has been exploited to exhaustion and then been regenerated. A downlink cell-free massive Multipleinput multiple-output(mMIMO) system is explored. To investigate the impact of hardware distortion on downlink cell-free mMIMO, this paper recalls a well-established model of hardware impairment and derives a new closedform downlink per-user Spectral efficiency(SE) expression for distributed conjugate beamforming precoding. Based on this trackable expression, two power control algorithms,namely max-total-SE and mixed Quality-of-service(QoS)algorithms, are proposed. Numerical results indicate that the downlink per-user SE is primarily limited by the hardware quality of the receiver, especially when the user corresponds to the receiver. In addition, the proposed max-total-SE algorithm has a fast convergence rate and can significantly improve the total SE compared to the Equal power control(EPC) scheme. What’s more, our mixed QoS algorithm also performs well in many respects.

Contemporary Chinese cultural governance is an important part of the national governance system and the modernization of national governance capacity. It must combine international experience and local method together and run through the whole process of cultural system reform. The good governance of culture is the goal pursued by Chinese cultural governance, which displays the management process of maximizing cultural public interest. In the new era, cultural governance reform has experienced governance subject centralized to pluralism, governance space from inside to outside, governance method from ruling by man to the rule of law, governance path from control-oriented government to service-oriented government. To further improve Chinese cultural governance in the new era, relationships between top-level design and grass-root innovation, cultural democracy and cultural concentration, national cultural interests, social cultural interests and cultural interests of the citizens, domestic cultural governance and global culture must be dialectically dealt with. In the government-market-social governance structure, mutual assistance of multiple missions and win-win of multiple subjects can be achieved, thus promoting harmony of multiple interests.

Background:Computed tomography(CT)plays a great role in characterizing and quantifying changes in lung structure and function of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).This study aimed to explore the performance of CT-based whole lung radiomic in discriminating COPD patients and non-COPD ***:This retrospective study was performed on 2785 patients who underwent pulmonary function examination in 5 hospitals and were divided into non-COPD group and COPD *** radiomic features of the whole lung volume were *** absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)logistic regression was applied for feature selection and radiomic signature construction.A radiomic nomogram was established by combining the radiomic score and clinical *** operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis and decision curve analysis(DCA)were used to evaluate the predictive performance of the radiomic nomogram in the training,internal validation,and independent external validation ***:Eighteen radiomic features were collected from the whole lung volume to construct a radiomic *** area under the curve(AUC)of the radiomic model in the training,internal,and independent external validation cohorts were 0.888[95%confidence interval(CI)0.869–0.906],0.874(95%CI 0.844–0.904),and 0.846(95%CI 0.822–0.870),*** were higher than the clinical model(AUC were 0.732,0.714,and 0.777,respectively,P<0.001).DCA demonstrated that the nomogram constructed by combining radiomic score,age,sex,height,and smoking status was superior to the clinical factor ***:The intuitive nomogram constructed by CT-based whole-lung radiomic has shown good performance and high accuracy in identifying COPD in this multicenter study.

Extracorporeal liver surgery(ELS), also known as liver autotransplantation, is a hybrid(cross-fertilized) surgery incorporating the technical knowledge from extreme liver and transplant liver surgeries, and recently became more embraced and popularized among leading centers. ELS could be summarized into three major categories, namely, ex-situ liver resection and autotransplantation(ELRA), ante-situm liver resection and autotransplantation(ALRA) and auxiliary partial liver autotransplantation(APLA). The successful development of ELS during the past 37 years is definitely inseparable from continuous effort s done by Chinese surgeons and researchers. Especially, the precision liver surgery paradigm has allowed to transform ELS into a modularized, more simplified, and standardized surgery, to upgrade surgical skills, to improve peri-operative outcome and long-term survival, to increase the capability of surgeons to select more complex diseases and to expand the level of medical service to the population. This review highlights the Chinese contributions to the field of ELS, focusing thereby on features of different surgical types, technical innovations, disease selection and surgical indication, patient prognosis and future perspectives.

Emotion recognition plays a crucial role in various fields and is a key task in natural language processing (NLP). The objective is to identify and interpret emotional expressions in text. However, traditional emotion recognition approaches often struggle in few-shot cross-domain scenarios due to their limited capacity to generalize semantic features across different domains. Additionally, these methods face challenges in accurately capturing complex emotional states, particularly those that are subtle or implicit. To overcome these limitations, we introduce a novel approach called Dual-Task Contrastive Meta-Learning (DTCML). This method combines meta-learning and contrastive learning to improve emotion recognition. Meta-learning enhances the model’s ability to generalize to new emotional tasks, while instance contrastive learning further refines the model by distinguishing unique features within each category, enabling it to better differentiate complex emotional expressions. Prototype contrastive learning, in turn, helps the model address the semantic complexity of emotions across different domains, enabling the model to learn fine-grained emotions expression. By leveraging dual tasks, DTCML learns from two domains simultaneously, the model is encouraged to learn more diverse and generalizable emotions features, thereby improving its cross-domain adaptability and robustness, and enhancing its generalization ability. We evaluated the performance of DTCML across four cross-domain settings, and the results show that our method outperforms the best baseline by 5.88%, 12.04%, 8.49%, and 8.40% in terms of accuracy.

A series of new benzimidazole derivatives was synthesized and characterized by IR,1H NMR,13C NMR,MS,and HRMS *** the new compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities in vitro by a twofold serial dilution *** bioactive evaluation showed that 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl benzimidazoles were comparably or even more strongly antibacterial and antifungal than the reference drugs Chloromycin,Norfloxacin,and *** combination of2,4-difluorobenzyl benzimidazole derivative 5l and its hydrochloride 7 respectively with the antibacterials Chloromycin,Norfloxacin,and the antifungal Fluconazole was more sensitive to methicillin-resistant MRSA and Fluconazole-insensitive *** addition,the interaction of compound 5l with calf thymus DNA demonstrated that this compound could effectively intercalate into DNA to form a compound 5l-DNA complex that might block DNA replication and thereby exert good antimicrobial activity.

The number of patients with hearing loss is on the rise due to congenital abnormalities, degenerative changes in old age, and acquired injuries such as virus or ototoxic drug-induced diseases. Hearing loss is a refractory and disabling disease that has serious negative effects on quality of life. The pathology of hearing loss in the inner ear is characterized by varying degrees of damage to the cochlear sensory epithelium cells (such as hair cells and supporting cells), stria vascularis (including marginal, intermediate and basal cells) and spiral ganglion neurons. Regeneration or direct repair of damaged cells in the inner ear is an effective way to treat sensorineural deafness. It is currently possible to regenerate hair cells to treat sensorineural hearing loss by FX-322, a small molecule drug in clinical trials. With the development of genetic engineering technology, gene therapy has brought a promising treatment strategy for many previously intractable diseases. Gene therapy has been regarded as a promising method in the treatment and rehabilitation of sensorineural hearing loss, and recombinant adeno-associated virus gene therapy has been widely used in fundamental research into hearing loss treatments. At present, gene therapy for hearing loss is transitioning from feasibility studies to explorations of its safety and its therapeutic potential. The present article reviews the concepts, strategies, and applications of gene therapy mediated by recombinant adeno-associated viruses in the field of hearing loss treatment. © 2022
