Enhanced oral drug delivery by mimicking natural amino acid and oligopeptide absorption route

Oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs presents considerable challenges due to their susceptibility to digestive enzymes in gastrointestinal(Gl)tract and low efficiency of transepithelial ***,inspired by efficient absorption of protein-based nutrients,we constructed several kinds of oral drug delivery systems by mimicking natural amino acid and oligopeptide absorption *** kinds of amino acids and two kinds of oligopeptides were chosen as targeting ligands to mediate transportation of orally administered nanoparticles(NPs).Liraglutide(Lira),a kind of glucagon like peptide-1(GLP-1)receptor agonist,was used as model *** functionalized NPs could protect Lira from enzymatic degradation in Gl ***,compared with amino acid-modified NPs,oligopeptide-modified NPs exhibited greater transepithelial transport efficiency and were primarily absorbed in the proximal small intestine due to the high expression and transportation mediated by proton coupled oligopeptide transporter 1(PEPT1).These Lira-loaded NPs could effectively control the blood glucose level,reduce plasma lipid level,and repair tissue damage on type 2 diabetic mice and even showed comparable hypoglycemic effects of subcutaneous injection(s.c.)free *** study demonstrates the potential of mimicking natural oligopeptide absorption route to enhance oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs.

Multi-layer Optimal Control Strategy for Traction Photovoltaic and Energy Storage System Based on Interphase Bridging Inverter-railway Energy Router

The railway energy router(RER) is a crucial device in electrified railway systems, serving to improve power quality, recover braking energy, and utilize renewable energy. However, the conventional topology of RER requires transformers and inverters with doubled operational power capacity, leading to high costs and limiting industrial applicability. To tackle this issue, this paper proposes a novel interphase bridging inverter structure-based railway energy router(IBI-RER), with its AC side bridging the α-phase and βphase traction bus and its DC side integrating photovoltaic power and energy storage. First, the operation principle and energy transfer mode of this structure are analyzed. To address the active and reactive power coupling resulting from the transition of the inverter’s traditional two-port mode to the IBI-RER’s three-port mode, a hardware decoupling method with reactive power compensation devices is proposed. Additionally, to manage multi-directional energy flows among the three ports for the IBI-RER, a multi-layer optimal control strategy is introduced. Finally, based on the typical operation conditions and the measured data, a comparative analysis with the conventional RER is performed. The results show that, under the same function, the proposed IBI-RER has the advantages of simple structure and lower cost. ©2025 *** ***.

Achievable dual-strategy to stabilize Li-rich layered oxide interface by a one-step wet chemical reaction towards long oxygen redox reversibility

Oxygen release and electrolyte decomposition under high voltage endlessly exacerbate interfacial ramifications and structu ral degradation of high energy-density Li-rich layered oxide（LLO）,leading to voltage and capacity ***,the dual-strategy of Cr,B complex coating and local gradient doping is simultaneously achieved on LLO surface by a one-step wet chemical reaction at room *** functional theory（DFT） calculations prove that stable B-O and Cr-O bonds through the local gradient doping can significantly reduce the high-energy O 2p states of interfacial lattice O,which is also effective for the near-surface lattice O,thus greatly stabilizing the LLO surface,Besides,differential electrochemical mass spectrometry（DEMS） indicates that the CrxB complex coating can adequately inhibit oxygen release and prevents the migration or dissolution of transition metal ions,including allowing speedy Li+migration,The voltage and capacity fading of the modified cathode（LLO-CrB） are adequately suppressed,which are benefited from the uniformly dense cathode electrolyte interface（CEI） composed of balanced organic/inorganic ***,the specific capacity of LLO-CrB after 200 cycles at 1C is 209.3 mA h g-1（with a retention rate of 95.1%）.This dual-strategy through a one-step wet chemical reaction is expected to be applied in the design and development of other anionic redox cathode materials.

Homogeneous redox mediation is efficient in alleviating the shuttling effect and slow redox kinetics of lithium polysulfides in lithium-sulfur ***,their perfect performance is not fulfilled owning to the fact that the multi-step transformation of lithium polysulfides requests the multifunctional active positions for the tandem *** on the redox comediation principles,a promoter of mixing organodiselenide and organoditelluride(mixed-Se/Te)was raised to induce tandem catalysis and boost the effective electrochemical conversion of lithium *** specifically,diphenyl diselenide facilitated the liquid-liquid and solid-liquid transformation between lithium polysulfides and sulfur,while diphenyl ditelluride improved the solid-liquid transformation concerning lithium sulfide ***,even under high sulfur loading of 6.5 mg cm^(−2) and low electrolyte/sulfur ratio of 5.88μL mg^(−1),the 10 mM low concentration mixed-Se/Te promoter offered a high discharge capacity of 6.6 mAh cm^(−2) and high rate performance of 4.1 mAh cm^(−2) at 0.5 ***,the assembled 1.5 Ah-level lithium-sulfur pouch cells provide an energy density of 332 Wh kg^(−1) at 0.05 C and good cycling *** research demonstrates the applicability of propelling continuous sulfur conversion reactions with detached active positions and is anticipated to stimulate deep molecular design of kinetic promoter to targeted energy-associated redox reactions.

In this paper,we study the optical properties of asymmetric thin-shell wormholes(ATWs)under torsion *** the cut-and-paste method developed by Visser,we construct these wormholes and determine their key physical properties,such as the radius of the photon sphere and critical impact parameters,under different torsion ***,we investigate the effective potential and behavior of photon motion within the wormhole spacetime,identifying a relationship between photon trajectories and impact *** study focuses on scenarios where thin accretion disks act as the primary light *** reveals that the optical features of ATWs under torsion charge significantly differ from those of black holes(BHs).Notably,an increase in torsion charge leads to a reduction in the sizes of both extra photon rings and lensing bands,which serve as important markers for distinguishing and characterizing ATW spacetimes from those of BHs.
