At present,the development trend of dressing materials is being multifunctional for convenient and long-term nursing care process of some complicated ***,basing on the theory of wound moist healing,an injectable and self-healing hydrogel comprising of collagen(COL),chitosan(CS)and oxidation modified Konjac glucomannan(OKGM),which acts as a macromolecular cross-linker to construct dynamic Schiff-base bonds was smartly *** strategy of introducing the silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs)into the COL-CS-OKGM hydrogel matrix achieved a markedly enhanced antibacterial activity derived from the synergistical effect between the Ag^(+)and the mild photothermal efficacy of Ag NPs,which also improved the local capillary blood circulation of the wound area to further facilitate wound healing *** excellent syringeability and self-healing behaviors endowed the COL-CS-OKGM-Ag hydrogel with self-adapting ability for the wounds with irregular and large area needing frequent applying and changing without secondary *** vitro and in vivo evaluations verified that so-designed COL-CS-OKGM-Ag hydrogel also with hemostatic performance is a promising multifunctional dressing for the treatments of infected wound with not only good biocompatibility and convenient use,but also with desired regenerative healing prognoses benefited from hydrogel moist environment and physiotherapy.

Premature ovarian failure（POF） is a kind of gynecological disease that causes amenorrhea, infertility, menopause and urogenital symptoms. Currently hormone replacement therapy（HRT） is the most popular choice for women with POF to get rid of menopausal syndrome. However, as the popularization of Chinese herbs made Chinese medicine（CM） shine new lights, physicians are able to treat POF with both meno-herbs and integrated therapy. HRT has its own indications and contraindications. For example, unexplained vaginal bleeding, acute liver damage, liver dysfunction, vascular embolization, and breast cancer are all contraindications of HRT, and CM is taken by more physicians as an adjuvant therapy. This review, including a range of common Chinese herbs and formulations according to the existing literature, provides a general description of CM treating POF from the aspects of mechanisms and clinical application. It also highlights acupuncture as a unique physiotherapy for POF. Although the validity of CM has been supported by the evidence of many preclinical trials, clinical trials and meta-analysis, the adverse events with CM therapy still exist and no guarantee has been made for its safety. This review concludes the updated information for CM treating POF contributing to further studies.e

There are several potential issues that affect the treatment and diagnostic pattern of anomalous left coronary artery arising from the pulmonary artery. We report three cases of infants who presented with anomalous left coronary artery arising from the pulmonary artery with severe left ventricular dysfunction and severe mitral regurgitation along with associated anomalies. One patient had congenital lobar emphysema of the right midde lobe. Another patient had left main stem bronchus compression, collapse of basal segments of left lower lobe and panlobular emphysema in medial basal segment of right lower lobe. The third patient had cleft lip and palate. All patients underwent successful repair. The hemodynamic stability was compromised when the infant with congenital lobar emphysema had spontaneous pneumothorax after extubation and she needed an intercostal drainage. The infant with lung collapse had to be reintubated on the second day since she became hypoxic due to recollapse of the lung once the airway positive pressure was removed. She needed chest physiotherapy, vigorous endotracheal suctioning and inhaled bronchodilator therapy. The patient who had cleft palate succumbed to aspiration pneumonitis in the postoperative period. Follow-up of other two patients after three months showed very good improvement in left ventricular systolic function.

Background: Facial nerve palsy (seventh cranial nerve palsy) is a common neurological problem. The etiology is not fully understood but it is thought to be due to injury or compression throughout the seventh cranial nerve course. The study aimed to evaluate the awareness of the Hail region population about facial nerve palsy, its risk factors, methods of treatment, and prognosis. Methodology: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in the Hail region from March to June 2022. The study involved 224 participants in the age group 18 - 65 years and data was collected through Google self-administered questionnaire. Results: 65.2% of the participants were 18 - 25 years, 20.1% were 26 - 35 years and 14.7 were above 35 years. 91.9% think that exposure to cold air is the leading cause followed by viral infections (30.4%), stroke (27.6%), and genetic factors (13.8%). diabetes (8.5%), evil eye (7.1%), magic (4%), pregnancy (0.4%) and vitamins deficiency (0.4%). 92% of participants think that facial nerve palsy is not contagious and 8% have no clear idea. 89.7% think that facial nerve palsy is curable, 83.9% think that physiotherapy is the treatment of choice, 94.6% agree that early medical assessment is essential for good outcomes and 92.9 believe that avoidance of cold air is the best method of prevention. Conclusion and Recommendations: The majority of participants show poor awareness regarding the etiology and the preferable treatment of facial nerve palsy. Public medical education and further wider studies are highly recommended.

Studies have demonstrated that some cutaneous biophysical properties vary with the part of the body. The results to date of skin conditions in human skin of multiple parts of the body have not yet been well established. In this study, we assessed the differences in the skin’s sebum, moisture, pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, and elasticity of each body part in Korean men in their 20s. A total of 34 healthy men were enrolled. A Skin Diagnosis Meter was used to measure the skin’s surface sebum, moisture, pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, and elasticity of each body part. The sebum content was significantly higher on the face than at other sites. Moisture was significantly high on the feet. Pores were significantly high on the face. Wrinkles were significantly high on the face. Pigmentation was high on the face and neck, but not significantly. Elasticity was significantly high on the hands. In the correlation analysis results, sebum and pore were positively correlated, but sebum and moisture and wrinkle and elasticity were negatively correlated. For nearly the first time, this study resulted in systematic reference values for standardized biophysical measuring methods and body parts reflecting the skin physiology of healthy South Korean men. The results show that skin’s surface sebum, moisture, pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, and elasticity vary with the part of the body.

Objective:To objectively evaluate the clinical effect of resisting method of acupuncture at movementpainful points on treating the refractory cases of frozen shoulder during adhesion period,and to compare with that of the conventional acupuncture ***:According to the random grouping principle,90 patients with frozen shoulder during adhesion period were divided into"resisting method acupuncture group,general acupuncture group,and physiotherapy group",30 patients in *** the resisting method acupuncture group,the resisting method of needling was applied at the"movement-painful points",and during acupuncture the patient was asked to do shoulder *** the general acupuncture group,the conventional needling method of acupuncture was applied at the conventional three *** the physiotherapy group,the patients were treated with shock wave at the affected *** groups were treated once a day,5 times a week,a total of 2 weeks as a course of *** one course of treatment,the clinical effect of the three groups was *** shoulder pain and shoulder function scale(Constant-Murley),Rating Scale of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons(ASES),and infrared thermal imaging temperature change score were ***:After treatment,the shoulder pain was relieved and movement improved in all three groups,whilst the cured and remarkably effective rate of the resisting method acupuncture group was 96.7%(29/30),better than those of the general acupuncture group 86.2%(25/29)and the physiotherapy group 73.3%(22/30),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);the VAS score of the resisting method acupuncture group was significantly lower than those of the other two groups(P<0.05),the ConstantMurley score and the ASES score were significantly lower than those of the other two groups(all P<0.05),and the infrared thermal imaging temperature change score was significantly improved in comparing with those of the other tw
