Iron-based metal matrix composites(IMMCs)have attracted significant research attention due to their high specific stiffness and strength,making them potentially suitable for various engineering *** design,including the selection of reinforcement and matrix phases,the reinforcement volume fraction,and the interface issues are essential factors determining the engineering performance of IMMCs.A variety of fabrication methods have been developed to manufacture IMMCs in recent *** paper reviews the recent advances and development of IMMCs with particular focus on microstructure design,fabrication methods,and their engineering *** microstructure design issues of IMMC are firstly discussed,including the reinforcement and matrix phase selection criteria,interface geometry and characteristics,and the bonding *** fabrication methods,including liquid state,solid state,and gas-mixing processing are comprehensively reviewed and *** engineering performance of IMMCs in terms of elastic modulus,hardness and wear resistance,tensile and fracture behavior is ***,the current challenges of the IMMCs are highlighted,followed by the discussion and outlook of the future research directions of IMMCs.

The microstructural evolution of a cold-rolled and intercritical annealed medium-Mn steel(Fe-0.10C-5Mn)was investigated during uniaxial tensile ***-situ observations under scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray diffraction analysis were conducted to characterize the progressive transformation-induced plasticity process and associated fracture initiation *** findings were discussed with the local strain measurements via digital image *** results indicated that Lüders band formation in the steel was limited to 1.5%strain,which was mainly due to the early-stage martensitic phase transformation of a very small amount of the less stable large-sized retained austenite(RA),which led to localized stress concentrations and strain hardening and further retardation of *** small-sized RA exhibited high stability and progressively transformed into martensite and contributed to a stably extended Portevin-Le Chatelier *** volume fraction of RA gradually decreased from 26.8%to 8.2%prior to *** the late deformation stage,fracture initiation primarily occurred at the austenite/martensite and ferrite/martensite interfaces and the ferrite phase.

Conjunctival melanoma(CοM)is of high malignancy that diffusely impacts the ocular surface,which is challenging to surgically remove and pose a life-threatening *** one of the most suitable treatment options,drug dropping drugs to the eye surface,however,is limited in its clinical application for CoM treatment due to low drug *** BRAF/MEK inhibitors(BRAF/MEKi)as model drugs,this study proposes a long-lasting eyedrop based on BRAF/MEK dual-targeted liposome-doped dynamic hydrogels with drugs(B/MLDDHs),which can overcome the tear flushing to succeed in effective ocular surface drug delivery.B/MLDDHs encapsulate drugs within lipid bilayers,enhancing drug bioavailability and *** aldehyde dextran and protonated chitosan-based injectable hydrogel system facilitates drug retention on the ocular surface exerting a sustained liposome release,which significantly enhances the drug *** therapeutics,this study demonstrates significantly enhanced in vivo therapeutic effect on orthotopic mouse model of *** their ability to fulfill permeable and long-term release of hydrophobic drugs,B/MLDDHs may serve as a promising platform for non-invasive delivery of various drug molecules,thereby improving therapeutic outcomes for CoM.

Promoting synaptic plasticity and inducing functional reorganization of residual nerve fibers hold clinical significance for restoring motor function following spinal cord *** stimulation targeting the nerve roots has been shown to improve motor function by enhancing nerve conduction in the injured spinal cord and restoring the synaptic ultrastructure of both the sensory and motor ***,our understanding of the neurophysiological mechanisms by which nerve root magnetic stimulation facilitates motor function recovery in the spinal cord is limited,and its role in neuroplasticity remains *** this study,we established a model of spinal cord injury in adult male Sprague–Dawley rats by applying moderate compression at the T10 *** then performed magnetic stimulation on the L5 nerve root for 3 weeks,beginning on day 3 *** day 22 post-injury,we observed that nerve root magnetic stimulation downregulated the level of interleukin-6 in the injured spinal cord tissue of ***,this treatment reduced neuronal damage and glial scar formation,and increased the number of neurons in the injured spinal ***,nerve root magnetic stimulation decreased the levels of acetylcholine,norepinephrine,and dopamine,and increased the expression of synaptic plasticity-related m RNA and proteins PSD95,GAP43,and Synapsin *** together,these results showed that nerve root magnetic stimulation alleviated neuronal damage in the injured spinal cord,regulated synaptic plasticity,and suppressed inflammatory *** findings provide laboratory evidence for the clinical application of nerve root magnetic stimulation in the treatment of spinal cord injury.

Although supramolecular chirality tuning is prosperous in systems with small molecular building blocks,these systems lack structural strength and have limited practical ***,polymer systems do not exhibit these drawbacks but suffer from topological chain entanglement,which often leads to large dynamic obstacles and therefore limits the tunability of supramolecular ***,we report that by manipulating stoichiometry and employing light to alter the H-bond crosslinking between a photoexcitation-induced aggregatable molecule and high molecular weight poly(L-lactic acids),supramolecular chirality tuning of the polymer gel systems can be achieved in different ways through a cooperative ***,the Cotton effects of the examined systems can be negatively tuned by varying their stoichiometry,while positive tuning can be realized by *** deexcitation,negative Cotton effect tuning occurs again spontaneously in some *** supramolecular chirality tuning is accompanied by rheological property tuning,demonstrating that our strategy can overcome polymer chain entanglement *** proposed strategy inspires further works on the precise control of polymer chirality and,hence,development of asymmetric materials with changeable optical activity and modulus.

The integration of sensing and communication can achieve ubiquitous sensing while enabling ubiquitous *** the gradually improving global communication,the integrated sensing and communication system based on optical fibers can accomplish various functionalities,such as urban structure imaging,seismic wave detection,and pipeline safety *** the development of quantum communication,quantum networks based on optical fiber are gradually being *** this paper,we propose an integrated sensing and quantum network(ISAQN)scheme,which can achieve secure key distribution among multiple nodes and distributed sensing under the standard quantum *** continuous variables quantum key distribution protocol and the round-trip multiband structure are adopted to achieve the multinode secure key ***,the spectrum phase monitoring protocol is proposed to realize distributed *** determines which node is vibrating by monitoring the frequency spectrum and restores the vibration waveform by monitoring the phase *** scheme is experimentally demonstrated by simulating the vibration in a star structure *** results indicate that this multiuser quantum network can achieve a secret key rate of approximately 0.7 Mbits/s for each user under 10-km standard fiber transmission,and its network capacity is *** terms of distributed sensing,it can achieve a vibration response bandwidth ranging from 1 Hz to 2 kHz,a strain resolution of 0.50 nε/Hz,and a spatial resolution of 0.20 m under shot-noise-limited *** proposed ISAQN scheme enables simultaneous quantum communication and distributed sensing in a multipoint network,laying a foundation for future large-scale quantum networks and high-precision sensing networks.

China is the largest turbot farming in the world,where germplasm source security is closely related to national *** further promote the sustainable development of the turbot aquaculture industry,the China Marine Fish Industry Technology System team has developed a new variety of fast-growing turbot(hereinafter referred to as new varieties)in ***,the promotion effect of new varieties has not reached the expectation,requiring research on the adoption behavior analysis of new *** on 272 turbot farmers,this study conducts theoretical analysis of framework of new varieties adoption,uses the binary Logit regression model to analyze the determinants of new varieties adoption behavior based on the perspective of *** means that farmers have certain differences,including differences in age,farming scale and enterprise *** indicated that the adoption behavior of new varieties was affected by farming scale,education level,farming years,risk preference,channels of obtaining information,training effect,and government *** adoption behavior of new varieties is group *** causes of low adoption rate of new varieties are farmer’s lower risk preference,lower benefit of communication and limited government *** results indicated that new varieties are more likely to be adopted in enterprises,young adult,and large-scale farmers *** implications from this research included strengthen government incentives for the promotion of new varieties,constructing the systematic and long-term training system and constructing the farmers-centered promotion system.
