Climate change is the most phenomenal challenge to humanity,and its roots are intervened with unsustainable industrialization,exercising overexploitation of natural ***,the departure from non-renewable to renewables has become inevitable,though *** this respect,we explore how green energy transformation moderates the impacts of multifaceted natural resources on sustainable industrial development in the presence of other covariates involving technological progress,financial development,and economic *** compiled data from Group of Seven(G-7)members over the 19952018 period and applied panel quantile regression(PQREG)to capture the effects across varying levels of quantiles of sustainable industrial *** revealed a positive role of natural gas rents,while coal,forest,and total natural resource rents contributed adverse implications for sustainable industrial ***,the green energy transformation proved to be the game changer because it not only directly induced sustainable industrial development improvement but also turned the unfavorable effects of coal,forest,and total natural resources into favorable ones by interacting with those multifaceted natural ***,financial,and economic progress supported sustainable industrial development in G-7 nations,particularly in members with existing middle and upper scales of sustainable industrial *** findings are robust enough when subjected to different estimation *** light of these outcomes,the interaction between green energy transformation and natural resource policy is inevitably critical to attaining natural resource efficiency for sustainable industrial ***,it is imperative to establish a close policy coordination between advancing green energy technology and allocating natural resource revenue to achieve sustainable development goals(SDGs),with a particular emphasis on SDG-7 and SDG-13。

Rapid Urban Land Expansion in Earthquake-Prone Areas of China

A timely understanding of urban expansion in earthquake-prone areas is crucial for earthquake risk assessment and urban planning for earthquake ***, a comprehensive evaluation of urban expansion in earthquake-prone areas is lacking in China, especially in the context of rapid urbanization. Based on time series urban land data and seismic ground-motion parameter zonation maps, this study analyzed urban expansion in the most seismically hazardous areas(MSHAs) of China from1992 to 2015 on the national, regional, and city scales. The results show that urban land area in the MSHAs expanded by 6767 km^2 from 1992 to 2015, with a gain of 350%.Specifically, the increase in urban land area of small cities in the MSHAs of western China during this period was the fastest, 6.24 times greater than that at the national level. In terms of spatial patterns, the urban land patches in the MSHAs in 2015 were more fragmented than those in 1992 on all scales. The percentage of change in the number of patches and the landscape shape index of the urban land patches of small cities in the MSHAs of western China were the highest across all cities. Therefore, we believe that special attention should be paid to the cities in the MSHAs that exhibit the most rapid increases in both urban land area and fragmentation, especially the small cities in western China. It is imperative to integrate earthquake mitigation into the urban planning of these cities.

2020 was an unprecedented year,with rapid and drastic changes in human mobility due to the COVID-19 *** understand the variation in commuting patterns among the Chinese population across stable and unstable periods,we used nationwide mobility data from 318 million mobile phone users in China to examine the extreme fluctuations of population movements in 2020,ranging from the Lunar New Year travel season(chunyun), to the exceptional calm of COVID-19 lockdown,and then to the recovery *** observed that cross-city movements,which increased substantially in chunyun and then dropped sharply during the lockdown,are primarily dependent on travel distance and the socio-economic development of *** the Lunar New Year holiday,national mobility remained low until mid-February,and COVID-19 interventions delayed more than 72.89 million people returning to large *** network analysis revealed clusters of highly connected cities,conforming to the social-economic division of urban agglomerations in *** the mass migration back to large cities was delayed,smaller cities connected more densely to form new *** the recovery period after travel restrictions were lifted,the netflows of over 55% city pairs reversed in direction compared to before the *** findings offer the most comprehensive picture of Chinese mobility at fine resolution across various scenarios in China and are of critical importance for decision making regarding future public-health-emergency response,transportation planning and regional economic development,among others.

As a high-energy-consumption and high-CO2-emission industry in China,the transportation sector has been under increasing pressure to improve its *** paper develops a novel parallel DEA approach to measure Chinese transportation sector's energy and environmental performance (EEP) over all possible weights,which is to avoid the risk of using the extreme or the most favorable weights in performance *** our method,the transportation sector is consisted of two parallel subsystems (passenger transportation and freight transportation) with shared inputs and undesirable shared *** possible weights are considered in the EEP evaluation,then the EEP of a transportation sector is represented by a ranking ***,the proposed approach is applied to the transportation sectors in 30 Chinese *** show that the best and the worst ranking of most provinces vary ***,the EEP of most provinces is hard to dominate others strictly,but the general tendency is the EEP of eastern provinces better than western ***,the EEP difference of some adjacent provinces with similar features is *** findings are not all the same as previous studies,which verifies the necessity of considering all possible weights in performance ***,our method provides a new point of view in performance evaluation and can give more robust results for decision makers.

Adaptively temporal graph convolution model for epidemic prediction of multiple age groups

Introduction:Multivariate time series prediction of infectious diseases is significant to public health,and the deep learning method has attracted increasing attention in this research *** and methods:An adaptively temporal graph convolution(ATGCN)model,which leams the contact patterns of multiple age groups in a graph-based approach,was proposed for COVID-19 and influenza *** compared ATGCN with autoregressive models,deep sequence learning models,and experience-based ATGCN models in short-term and long-term prediction ***:Results showed that the ATGCN model performed better than the autoregressive models and the deep sequence learning models on two datasets in both short-term(12.5%and 10%improvements on RMSE)and longterm(12.4%and 5%improvements on RMSE)prediction *** the RMSE of ATGCN predictions fluctuated least in different age groups of COVID-19(0.029±0.003)and influenza(0.059±0.008).Compared with the Ones-ATGCN model or the Pre-ATGCN model,the ATGCN model was more robust in performance,with RMSE of 0.0293 and 0.06 on two datasets when horizon is ***:Our research indicates a broad application prospect of deep learning in the field of infectious disease *** characteristics and domain knowledge of infectious diseases should be further applied to the design of deep learning models and feature ***:The ATGCN model addressed the multivariate time series forecasting in a graph-based deep learning approach and achieved robust prediction on the confirmed cases of multiple age groups,indicating its great potentials for exploring the implicit interactions of multivariate variables.

The trade-off and synergy relationship of ecosystem services is an important topic in the current *** value of each service provided by the ecosystem is substantially affected by human activities,and conversely,its changes will also affect the relevant human *** to varying tradeoffs among ecosystem services and synergies between them that can either increase or decrease,it is difficult to optimize multiple ecosystem services simultaneously,making it a huge challenge for ecosystem *** study firstly develops a global Gross Ecosystem Product(GEP)accounting *** uses remote sensing data with a spatial resolution of 1 km to estimate the ecosystem services of forests,wetlands,grasslands,deserts,and farmlands in 179 major countries in *** results show that the range of global GEP values is USD 112e197 trillion,with an average value of USD 155 trillion(the constant price),and the ratio of GEP to gross domestic product(GDP)is *** tradeoffs and the synergies among different ecosystem services in each continent and income group have been further *** found a correspondence between the income levels and the synergy among ecosystem services within each *** specific ecosystem services,there are strong synergies between oxygen release,climate regulation,and carbon sequestration services.A trade-off relationship has been observed between flood regulation and other services,such as water conservation and soil retention services in low-income *** results will help clarify the roles and the feedback mechanisms between different stakeholders and provide a scientific basis for optimizing ecosystem management and implementing ecological compensation schemes to enhance human well-being.

Impact of ERP Investment on Company Performance: Evidence from Manufacturing Firms in China

Information Technology （IT） investments, especially Enterprise Resource planning （ERP） systems, are critical for the survival and development of companies. Therefore, understanding the impact of ERP in- vestment is of great importance to managers and researchers. As a corporate performance indicator, Tobin＇s Q has some inherent advantages compared to other accounting indicators, and it can better reflect the con- tribution of ERP investment to company performance. This study employs multiple regression models to examine the impact of ERP investment on Tobin＇s Q. The sample consists of 126 manufacturing companies listed on the Shanghai and shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 1999 to 2007. Empirical results show that in the first three years after ERP implementation, there is no significant change in Tobin＇s Q; however, in the fourth year, Tobin＇s Q increases significantly. The results indicate that, as a strategic long-term investment accompanied by large-scale business process reengineering and organizational learning, ERP implementa- tion has time-lagged effects; nonetheless, it eventually produces significant benefits.

Multistage Formation of Neoarchean Potassic Meta-Granites and Evidence for Crustal Growth on the North Margin of the North China Craton

The North China Craton(NCC)is one of the most complex cratons in the *** underwent a series of tectonothermal events during the *** petrogenesis of potassic granitoids,the timing,and the style of Archean crustal growth are still *** field and petrological stdudies on the potassic meta-granites from the Guyang-Chayouzhongqi region were carried *** U-Pb ages,zircon Lu-Hf isotopic analyses,and whole-rock geochemical data were *** groups(~2.7 Ga and~2.5 Ga)of potassic meta-granites were ***~2.7 Ga meta-granites are mainly A2-type,with variableεHf(t)values(-8.4 to+3.3)and Archean one stage model ages(T_(DM)=~3.0 Ga),indicating that their source was derived from ancient anatectic TTG-like granite and depleted mantle,which suggests that thin crust had formed in the Guyang-Chayouzhongqi region by~3.0 *** to the K-rich granites in the NCC,most of the~2.5 Ga potassic meta-granites are typical of A1-type granite,and are enriched in Sm and Gd and depleted in Nb,Ta,P,and *** ages and isotopic data indicate that the~2.5 Ga meta-granites were generated from juvenile crustal sources with Neoarchean *** overall zircon U-Pb and Hf isotopic data furthermore suggested that the~2.7 Ga event is the most important stage of magmatic accretion in the NCC,similar to other *** contrast,reworking or metamorphic alteration was the main crustal process in the NCC at~2.5 Ga.

A hybrid model for high spatial and temporal resolution population distribution prediction

The accurate prediction of population distribution is crucial for numerous applications,from urban planning to epidemiological *** one-week data collected from open and multiple sources,including telecommunication activity,weather,point of interest,buildings,roads,and land use in Milan,Italy,we develop a hybrid method combining cellular automata(CA)and long short-term memory(LSTM)to predict population distribution with fine temporal and spatial ***,the convolutional autoencoder and LightGBM are applied to identify missing building types based on the pedestrian *** LSTM learns the transition rules of CA and Shapley additive explanations value is used for variable importance *** demonstrate that the combination of convolutional autoencoder and LightGBM is effective in building type *** proposed model for population distribution prediction outperforms LSTM,the combination of CA and neural network,and the combination of CA and LightGBM by at least 5–10%.A variable importance analysis reveals that temporal variables are the most significant for prediction,followed by spatial and natural *** order of hour,housing-related variables,and types of precipitation are the most important variables in each category.

Broussonetia kazinoki×Broussonetia papyrifera(ZJGS)is a hybrid species in Moraceae family,which has a very complicated hybrid *** excellent characteristics of fast growth,strong soil and water conservation ability,high leaf protein content and stem fiber content in ZJGS make it both ecological benefits in the mining area and economically *** study aims to further understand ZJGS and other Moraceae taxa through the ZJGS chloroplast(cp)genome structure and the comparison with 12 closely related Moraceae *** the 13 Moraceae species,the cp genome length of seven Broussonetia species(ranges from 160,239 bp to 162,594 bp)is larger than that of six Morus species(ranges from 158,459 bp to 159,265 bp).Among the 77 shared protein-coding genes(PCGs)in Moraceae species,the obvious positive selection of Ka/Ks ratios acted on petD and rpl16 genes of *** and ***,*** analysis based on shared PCGs from 28 species shows that ZJGS is closely related to maternal *** findings provide data support for the origin of ZJGS hybridization and provide genomic resources for future ZJGS resource development and molecular breeding.
