From the two perspectives of urban development and industrial development, this paper presents and explains the stage characteristics of the evolution process of shenzhen to build a national innovative city, on which both the urban and the industrial policies produce remarkable influences. By analyzing three cases of industry layout planning of shenzhen, in particular the evolution of planning thoughts and the implementation effect of the plans, this paper argues that an effective industry layout planning should focus on studying the spatial requirements of industries and creating the suitable physical environment for industrial development instead of directly arranging the layout of various industries. Moreover, the implementation of the latest planning policy in shenzhen proves that the industry space policies issued by the local government should be problem-oriented and be aimed to solve the practical difficulties in the innovative development.

This article applies open source data of public facilities through data mining, not only to evaluate the public facilities from an objective dimension, but also to reflect the sensory opinions of the group factually, eventually realizing the evaluation measurement of urban public facilities. The research takes shenzhen city as an empirical case and chooses typical public facilities to mine data, resolve address and weight to explore the application of public facilities evaluation under dimension reduction of open source data. The empirical study consists of three parts. first, as the objective evaluation, we estimate the density distribution and per capita of public facility through data mining and address resolution. Second, as the subjective evaluation, we carry on the location analysis to high-score public facility through attention and satisfaction data of Internet evaluation. finally, as mentioned above, we calculate the weight of objective and subjective evaluation of public facility, eventually formatting the comprehensive evaluation of public facilities.

With the rapid growth of vehicle population and vehicle miles traveled, automobile emission has become a severe issue in the metropolitan cities of China. There are policies that concentrate on the management of emission sources. However, improving the operation of the transportation system through apps on mobile devices, especially navigation apps, may have a unique role in promoting urban air quality. Real-time traveler information can not only help travelers avoid traffic congestion, hut also advise them to adjust their departure time, mode, or route, or even to cancel trips. Will such changes in personal travel patterns have a significant impact in decreasing emissions？ If so, to what extent will they impact urban air quality？ The aim of this study is to determine how urban traffic emission is affected by the use of navigation apps. With this work, we attempt to answer the question of whether the real-time traffic information provided by navigation apps can help to improve urban air quality. Some of these findings may provide references for the formulation of urban traffic and environmental policies.

Reliable future climate projection is essential to provide the scientific basis for climate mitigation and adaptation *** Earth system model(ESM)is an important tool for future climate projection,as it provides future climate projections under various scenarios and inferences of potential solutions to climate mitigation and ***,projecting future climate using ESMs has proven challenging because these models consist of highly complex coupled components that simulate the Earth system's physical,chemical,and biological *** to previous Coupled Model Intercom-parison Project(CMIP)phases,the sixth phase of the CMIP(CMIP6)now includes more improved *** improve-ments in the spatial resolution,parameterization,and repre-sentation of processes of these latest-generation ESMs provide opportunities to advance our understanding of the Earth sys-tem but are also likely to increase the spread of the simulations across ESMs(Pascoe et al.,2019).Comparison of model simulations against observations is essential for improving confidence in their utility for climate projections and attribu-tion studies and for identifying deficiencies in models such that the parameterization and representation of processes can be further improved.

Since the proposal of the pioneering“resilience triangle”paradigm,various time-series performance-based metrics have been devised for resilience *** numerous choices diversify the toolbox for measuring this compound system concept;however,this multiplicity causes intractable questions for applications,including“Do these metrics measure the same resilience?”and“Which one to pick under what circumstance?”In this study,we attempted to address these two fundamental issues using a comprehensive comparative *** a quantitative-qualitative combined approach,12 popular performance-based resilience metrics are compared using empirical data from China’s aviation system under the disturbance of *** results indicate that only 12 of the 66 metric pairs are strongly positively correlated and with no significant differences in quantification outcomes;qualitative results indicate that the majority of the metrics are based on different definition interpretations,basic components,and expression forms,and thus essentially measure different *** advantages and disadvantages of each metric are comparatively discussed,and a“how to choose”guideline for metric users is *** study is an introspective investigation of resilience quantification studies,aiming to offer a new perspective to scrutinize those benchmarking metrics.

Cities hold a critical responsibility for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)due to their high population density,extensive resource consumption,and significant economic *** examine the present state of understandings regarding urban sustainability(SDG 11:Sustainable Cities and Communities)within Chinese research communities,this study collected 15950 papers from 1994 to 2022 on the 12 indicators of SDG 11,from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),a hub of Chinese academic papers,that directly relate to *** research topics on SDG 11 were identified for each indicator using bibliometrics analysis *** high-frequency keywords and clusters of keywords over the last three decades reveal that existing studies primarily concentrated on the physical aspects,such as transportation and environment,while there is a lack of consideration of societal *** indicates a limited and biased understanding of the urban sustainability within the Chinese academic ***,it is crucial to prioritize the societal aspects in order to develop a research agenda that further advances urban sustainability.

By means of the regional boundary layer model (RBLM),a study on the influences of the urban planning and construction on the summer urban heat island (UHI) in the metropolis of shenzhen is *** the study,the current summer UHI distribution,the influences of the increasing high-density construction and the energy consumption on the summer air temperature distribution,and the influences of the urban ventilation corridor on the summer air temperature distribution are numerically *** conclusions are drawn in the light of the study:(1) The summer UHI is more obvious in day time than that in night time in the summer of shenzhen,and the maximum values of UHI intensity in the day time appear in the areas with high-density construction,which are located in Nanshan,Futian and Luohu and western Bao'an districts.(2) The increase of construction density and energy consumption in the urban area will lead to the increase of temperature near the ground,and the increase of temperature at nighttime is more obvious than that at daytime.(3) The ventilation corridor can effectively reduce the UHI intensity and can be taken as a method to eliminate the negative climatic effect caused by the increase of high-density construction and energy consumption in the future.

Multiscale simulation of the urban wind environment under typhoon weather conditions

Accurate simulations of planetary boundary layer(PBL)winds in urban areas require combining meteorological knowledge and fine-grained geometrical *** fluid dynamics(CFD)is widely used to assess pedestrian wind comfort and wind disasters in planning resilient ***,the CFD-predicted PBL is highly affected by the inflow *** profiles under extreme weather conditions,such as tropical cyclones,can hardly be determined,and associated uniform logarithmic or power law expressions have not been *** this study,urban wind flow over mountainous terrain was simulated using a one-way nested simulation approach between mesoscale and microscale *** inflow wind speed,turbulence scalars,and potential temperature in the CFD code are sustained by the numerical weather prediction(NWP)*** considering typhoon weather conditions were examined to improve the numerical accuracy in determining mesoscale typhoon structures and pedestrian-level wind *** numerical errors were quantified in mesoscale and microscale formulations.A new tendency assimilation was proposed by incorporating local-scale observations into the CFD *** approach entailed empirical mode decomposition to quantify the mean wind speed differences between the observations and NWP results,which were then extrapolated to NWP-CFD nested interfaces via multiplication by the spatial correlation *** numerical performance was validated against both on-site observations for meteorological purposes and wind profiles retrieved from the experimental LiDAR of the landfalling typhoon *** simulated wind field exhibited an increased accuracy in the local urban *** specifically,the index of agreement in wind speeds was improved from 0.28 to 0.72,and the mean absolute errors were reduced from 5.46 m/s to 1.89 m/s.

Transportation planning is a critical component for creating an orderly,intensive,and sustainable pattern of land *** comprehensively considering the potential and suitability of transport construction,a comprehensive method combining resources and environmental carrying capacity(RECC)and land development suitability(LDS)was developed by using techniques of GIS,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and threedimensional magic *** Aba prefecture in Sichuan Province of Southwest China as a case study,LDS for transportation was analyzed from three aspects,including overall planning layout,different transport modes,and transportation *** results showed that the transport planning scales of most counties in Aba were suitable,and the order of LDS of different transport modes was railway>highway=superhighway>tourism track,which already included 42 new transportation *** found that two counties(Maoxian County and Jiuzhaigou County)should improve the ecological protection level of transportation,in which the railway network construction should be encouraged,and some transportation projects with low LDS should be postponed or constructed *** suggest the combination of RECC and LDS for transportation could enhance the territorial space optimization and sustainable transport construction.
