Effect of Y and Ce Micro-alloying on Microstructure and Hot Tearing of As-Cast Al-Cu-Mg Alloy

In this work,the Al-Cu-Mg alloy with different Y(0-0.2 wt%)and Ce(0.5-1.5 wt%)are *** effect of mixed addition of Y and Ce on the grain structure and hot tearing for Al-4.4Cu-1.5Mg-0.15Zr alloy was investigated using"cross"hot tearing *** results indicate that as rare earth Y and Ce increases,the grain size becomes finer,the grain morphology changes from dendrite to equiaxed grain,and effectively reduce the hot tearing sensitivity coefficient(HTS1)and crack susceptibility coefficient(CSC)of the *** the increase of Ce element(0.5-1.5 wt%),the hot tearing susceptibility of the alloy decreases first and then *** the increase of Y element(0-0.2 wt%),the hot tearing sensitivity of the alloy *** the content of rare earth is 0.2 wt%Y+1.0 wt%Ce,the minimum HTS1 value and CSC value of the alloy are 68 and 0.53,*** earth Ce refines the alloy microstructure,shortens the feeding channel,and reduces the hot tearing ***,the rare earth Y can form Al6Cu6Y phase at the grain boundary,improve the feeding capacity of the ***,appropriate addition of rare earth Y and Ce can effectively reduce the hot tearing tendency of the alloy.

The important supporting component in a gas turbine is the casing,which has the characteristics of large size,complex structure,and thin *** the context of existing 3DP sand casting processes,casting crack defects are prone to *** leads to an increase in the scrap rate of casings,causing significant resource ***,the presence of cracks poses a significant safety hazard after the casings are put into *** generation of different types of crack defects in stainless steel casings is closely related to casting stress and the high-temperature concession of the sand ***,the types and causes of cracks in stainless steel casing products,based on their structural characteristics,were systematically *** sand molds with different internal topology designs were printed using the 3DP technology to investigate the impact of sand mold structures on high-temperature *** optimal sand mold structure was used to cast casings,and the crack suppression effect was verified by analyzing its eddy current testing *** experimental results indicate that the skeleton structure has an excellent effect on suppressing cracks in the *** research holds important theoretical and engineering significance in improving the quality of casing castings and reducing production costs.

Microstructural characterization and mechanical properties of(TiC+TiB)/TA15 composites prepared by an in-situ synthesis method

Titanium matrix composites reinforced with ceramic particles are considered a promising engineering material due to their combination of high specific strength,low density,and high *** this study,the TA15-based composites reinforced with a volume fraction of 10% to 25%(TiB+TiC)were prepared using powder metallurgy and casting *** characterization and phase constitution were examined using optical microscopy(OM),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).In addition,the microhardness,room temperature(RT)and high temperature(HT)tensile properties of the composites were *** revealed that the reinforcements are distributed uniformly even in the composites with a high volume of TiB and ***,as the volume fraction exceeds 15%,TiB and TiC particles become coarsening and exhibit rod-like and dendritic-like *** increases gradually from 321.2 HV for the base alloy to a maximum of 473.3 HV as the reinforcement increases to 25vol.%.Tensile test results indicate that a reinforcement volume fraction above 20% is beneficial for enhancing tensile strength and yield strength at high temperatures,but it has an adverse effect on room temperature ***,if the reinforcement volume fraction is below 20%,it can improve high-temperature elongation when the temperature exceeds 600℃.

Considering the challenge of aerodynamic heating,the development of high-performance insulating ce-ramic materials with lightweight and low thermal conductivity is crucially important for aerospace vehi-cles to achieve flight at high speed for a long *** this work,macro-porous silicon oxycarbide(SiOC)ceramics with directional pores(DP-SiOC)(mean pore size of 88.1μm)were prepared using polysiloxane precursors via freeze casting and photocrosslinking,followed by *** DP-SiOC samples were lightweight(density∼0.135 g cm^(-3))with a porosity of 90.4%,which showed good shapability through the molding of polysiloxane *** DP-SiOC samples also exhibited an ultra-low thermal con-ductivity of 0.048 W(m K)^(-1)at room temperature,which can also withstand heat treatment at 1200°C for 1 *** addition,scaffolds with triply periodic minimal surfaces(TPMS)were fabricated using digital light processing(DLP)printing,which was further filled with polysiloxane precursors for increasing the strength of *** TPMS scaffolds filled with macro-porous SiOC ceramics(TPMS-DP-SiOC)showed good integration between TPMS and macro-pore structures,which had a porosity∼75%and high specific strength of 9.73×10^(3)N m kg^(-1).The thermal conductivity of TPMS-DP-SiOC samples was 0.255 W(m K)^(-1)at room *** biomimetic TPMS-DP-SiOC ceramics developed in this study are likely used for thermal protection systems.

Reinforcement Learning(RL)algorithms enhance intelligence of air combat AutonomousManeuver Decision(AMD)policy,but they may underperform in target combat environmentswith *** enhance the robustness of the AMD strategy learned by RL,thisstudy proposes a Tube-based Robust RL(TRRL)***,this study introduces a tube todescribe reachable trajectories under disturbances,formulates a method for calculating tubes basedon sum-of-squares programming,and proposes the TRRL algorithm that enhances robustness byutilizing tube size as a quantitative ***,this study introduces offline techniques forregressing the tube size function and establishing a tube library before policy learning,aiming toeliminate complex online tube solving and reduce the computational burden during ***,an analysis of the tube library demonstrates that the mitigated AMD strategy achievesgreater robustness,as smaller tube sizes correspond to more cautious *** finding highlightsthat TRRL enhances robustness by promoting a conservative *** effectively balanceaggressiveness and robustness,the proposed TRRL algorithm introduces a“laziness factor”as aweight of ***,combat simulations in an environment with disturbances confirm thatthe AMD policy learned by the TRRL algorithm exhibits superior air combat performance comparedto selected robust RL baselines.

The effect of cerium(Ce)on the solidification microstructure of Cr_(4)Mo_(4)V bearing steel was investigated via a combined experimental and theoretical *** a trace amount(0.056 wt%)of Ce addition,the coarse columnar grains in as-cast microstructure transform into equiaxed ones,and the average diameter is reduced from 56 to 27μ*** network-like and bulky primary MC and M2C carbides at the interdendritic regions become disconnected and refined,and their volume percentage decreases from4.15 vol%to 2.1 vol%.Ce-inclusions acting as heterogeneous nucleation agents of prior-austenite grains and Ce atoms segregating at grain boundaries,both contribute to the refinement of *** calculations reveal that primary carbides are precipitated afterγ-austenite forms near the end of the solidification *** modification of primary carbides in size and amount is mainly attributed to the isolated remaining melt separated by refinedγ-austenite grains in which the nucleation of carbides is promoted,while the growth is restrained owing to the less segregation of alloying elements.

Environmental barrier coatings(EBCs)with thermomechanical robustness against calcium–magnesium–aluminum–silicate(CMAS)deposits are in high *** aim of this work was to clarify the influence of Sc^(3+)on the crystallization behavior of Yb-based coatings against CMAS *** reaction products of solid solutions with compositions traversing the Sc_(2)O_(3)–Yb_(2)O_(3)system indicate that Sc^(3+)tends to form[BO_(6)]coordination polyhedra in the crystal structure to promote the formation of garnet and diopside,while Yb^(3+)occupies 7-,8-,and 9-coordinate sites to crystallize apatite and *** transformation of crystalline products from apatite/silicocarnotite to garnet/diopside greatly improves the efficiency of CMAS melt consumption and facilitates the prevention of its further penetration and *** on the commonality of cation occupancy in crystallography,an A(CaO+YbO_(1.5))–B(ScO_(1.5)+MgO+AlO_(1.5))–T(SiO_(2))pseudoternary phase diagram is established,which has great potential for describing phase equilibrium in coating-deposit systems and can provide guidance for the compositional design of corrosion-resistant coatings.

The effect of the Y spacer layer on the phase composition,coercivity,and magnetization reversal processes of La-Nd-Fe-B films has been *** addition of a 10 nm Y spacer layer increases the coercivity of the film to 1.36 T at 300 K and remains 0.938 T at 380 *** the thickness of the Y spacer layer increases,Y participates in the formation of the main phase in the film,and further regulates the formation of La-B *** results of the first-order reversal curve(FORC)and micromagnetic fitting show that the coercivity of all the films is dominated by nucleation *** c-axis preferred orientation,good magnetic microstructure parameters and the largest dipole interaction enhance the ***,the introduction of the Y spacer layer can be an effective way to improve the coercivity of La-Nd-Fe-B film over a wide temperature range of 150 K-380 K.

Corrosion Behavior of Pre-oxidized GH4169 Alloy with Solid NaCI Deposited in a Wet Oxygen Flow at 600 ℃

The corrosion behavior of the pre-oxidized GH4169 alloy was studied after 20 h of exposure under a solid NaCl deposit film in a wet O_(2) environment at 600℃ by mass-gain measurements,X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy *** results indicate that the pre-oxidized GH4169 alloy undergoes serious corrosion in the corrosive *** preformed Cr_(2)O_(3) layer is gradually destroyed by deposit NaCl,and the inner Nb2O5 layer beneath the complete outer Cr_(2)O_(3) layer also reacts with NaCl to form NaNbO_(3).The electrochemical test results testified the existence of electrochemical reactions during this corrosion *** corrosion behavior of pre-oxidized GH4169 under a solid NaCl deposit film in a wet O_(2) environment at 600℃has been discussed in detail.
