Ammonia-induced CuO/13X for H_(2)S removal from simulated blast furnace gas at low temperature

Blast furnace gas(BFG)is an important by-product energy for the iron and steel industry and has been widely used for heating or electricity ***,the undesirable contaminants in BFG(especially H_(2)S)generate harmful environmental *** desulfurization of BFG is urgent for integrated steel plants due to the stringent ultra-low emission *** with other desulfurization materials,zeolite-based adsorbents represent a viable option with low costs and long service *** this study,an ammonia-induced CuO modified 13X adsorbent(NH3–CuO/13X)was prepared for H_(2)S removal from simulated BFG at low *** XRD,H_(2)-TPR and TEM analysis proved that smaller CuO particles were formed and the dispersion of Cu on the surface of 13X zeolite was improved via the induction of *** on H_(2)S adsorption performance of the adsorbent was carried out using simulated BFG,and the results showed that NH3–CuO/13X-3 has better breakthrough sulfur capacity,which was more than twice the sulfur capacity of CuO/*** is proposed that the enhanced desulfurization performance of NH3–CuO/13X is attributed to an abundant pore of 13X,and combined action of 13X and *** work provided an effective way to improve the sulfur capacity of zeolite-based adsorbents via impregnation method by ammonia induction.

Phase-Division-Based Dynamic Optimization of Linkages for Drawing Servo Presses

Existing linkage-optimization methods are designed for mechanical presses; few can be directly used for servo presses, so development of the servo press is limited. Based on the complementarity of linkage opti- mization and motion planning, a phase-division-based linkage-optimization model for a drawing servo press is established. considering the motion-planning principles of a drawing servo press, and taking account of work rating and efficiency, the constraints of the optimization model are constructed. Linkage is optimized in two modes： use of either constant eccentric speed or constant slide speed in the work segments. The performances of optimized link- ages are compared with those of a mature linkage SL4- 2000A, which is optimized by a traditional method. The results show that the work rating of a drawing servo press equipped with linkages optimized by this new method improved and the root-mean-square torque of the servo motors is reduced by more than 10%. This research pro- vides a promising method for designing energy-saving drawing servo presses with high work ratings.

Feedback control is one of the most important ways to improve coiling temperature control precision during laminar cooling *** cooling equipments of a hot strip mill and structure of the control system were *** control algorithm based on PI controller and that based on Smith predictor were designed and tested in a hot strip mill *** application shows that the feedback control system based on PI controller plays a limited role in improving coiling temperature control *** feedback control system based on Smith predictor runs stable and *** the measured coiling temperature deviates from the target value,it can be adjusted to the required range quickly and steadily by Smith predictor feedback control,which improves the coiling temperature control precision greatly,and qualities of hot rolled strips are improved significantly

Structure and Mechanical Properties of Al-based Gradient composites Reinforced with Primary Si and Mg_2Si Particles through Centrifugal Casting

The structure and mechanical properties of a new type of Al-based discontinuous gradient composites prepared by using the ternary AI-19Si-5Mg alloys as the raw material adopting the centrifugal casting method were investigated. Structurally, the composites are divided into two zones： a reinforced zone with the high volume fraction of primary Si and Mg2Si particles and an unreinforced zone with no or a few particles. In the reinforced zone, the primary particles are evenly distributed, with the sizes of the primary Si particles 80-120 μm, and that of primary Mg2Si particles 20-50 μm. The properties test results show the reinforced zone has higher Rockwell hardness and better wear resistance than the unreinforced zone, due to the complementary reinforcement relationship between the primary Si and Mg2Si particles and their high volume fraction.

Optimization Design for Fixed Table of Gantry Machining Center Based on Sensitivity and Topology Analyses

In order to decrease the deformation and stress and increase the natural frequency of the fixed table,a method of optimization driven by the sensitivity and topology analyses is *** finite element model of the fixed table is constructed and analyzed by using ANSYS *** on the results of static analysis and modal analysis,the maximum deformation,the maximum stress,and natural frequencies are ***,the sensitivity analysis and topology optimization are carried out to find out the parameters to be *** fixed table is reconstructed according to optimal design *** the comparison of the results between original model and the optimized one,the maximum deformation and stress are decreased by 71.73%and 60.27%*** the same time,the natural frequencies from the first mode to the sixth mode are increased by 30.28%,29.57%,29.51%,31.52%,22.19%,and 21.80%,*** method can provide technology guide for the design and optimization of machining structure.

Pre-deformation for Assembly Performance of machine Centers

The current research of machine center accuracy in workspace mainly focuses on the poor geometric error subjected to thermal and gravity load while in operation, however, there are little researches focusing on the effect of machine center elastic deformations on workspace volume. Therefore, a method called pre-deformation for assembly performance is presented. This method is technically based on the characteristics of machine tool assembly and collaborative computer-aided engineering （CAE） analysis. The research goal is to enhance assembly performance, including straightness, positioning, and angular errors, to realize the precision of the machine tool design. A vertical machine center is taken as an example to illustrate the proposed method. The concept of travel error is defined to obtain the law of the guide surface. The machine center assembly performance is analyzed under cold condition and thermal balance condition to establish the function of pre-deformation. Then, the guide surface in normal direction is processed with the pre-deformation function, and the machine tool assembly performance is measured using a laser interferometer. The measuring results show that the straightness deviation of the Z component in the Y-direction is 158.9% of the allowable value primarily because of the gravity of the spindle head, and the straightness of the X and Y components is minimal. When the machine tool is processed in pre-deformation, the straightness of the Z axis moving component is reduced to 91.2%. This research proposes a pre-deformation machine center assembly method which has sufficient capacity to improving assembly accuracy of machine centers.

Optimal Operation of Multi Alkaline Electrolyzers considering Flexible Electrical and Hydrogen Load

Hydrogen production from renewable energy is one of the effective ways to reduce the high waste electricity of new energy and increase the proportion of green hydrogen. The multi-alkaline electrolyzers optimization operation strategy is proposed considering flexible electric loads and hydrogen loads in response to the optimization operation of large-scale new energy hydrogen production systems and high abandonment of electricity. Firstly, after considering the demand for electricity and hydrogen loads on the user side, transferable electric loads and hydrogen load models are established based on the transferable characteristics of electricity and hydrogen. Secondly, the multi-stack electrolyzer optimization operation strategy is proposed, considering the operating characteristics of a single electrolytic cell and electrolytic efficiency. Satisfying system operation constraints and optimizing the operating model to minimize economic cost is established and solved using the Yalmip toolbox and Cplex. The calculation results show that the participation of transferable loads can promote wind power consumption, reduce system electricity consumption, and improve the system economy. compared with the multi-stack electrolyzer rotation strategy, the strategy proposed in this article effectively reduces the start and stop times of the electrolyzer, stabilizes the standard deviation of electrolysis cell power fluctuation within 0.27, improves the service life of electrolyzer arrays and increases the overall electrolysis efficiency to about 57%. © 2025 Power System Technology Press. Prediction of cutting forces in flank milling of parts with non-developable ruled surfaces

Predicting the cutting forces required for five-axis flank milling is a challenging task due to the difficulties involved in determining the Undeformed Chip Thickness(UCT) and CutterWorkpiece Engagement(CWE). To solve these problems, this paper presents a new mechanistic cutting force model based on the geometrical analysis of a flank milling process. In the model,the part feature and corresponding cutting location data are taken as input information. The UCT considering cutter runout is calculated according to the instantaneous feed rate of the element cutting edges. A solid-discrete-based method is used to precisely and efficiently identify the CWE between the end mill and the surface being machined. Then, after calibrating the specific force coef-ficients, the mechanistic milling force can be obtained. During the validation process, two practical operations, three-axis flank milling of a vertical surface and five-axis flank milling of a nondevelopable ruled surface, are conducted. comparisons between predicted and measured cutting forces demonstrate the reliability of the proposed cutting force model.

Influence of high magnetic field on as-cast structure of Cu-25wt.%Ag alloys

To investigate the influence of high magnetic field (HMF) on the solidification microstructure of Cu-25wt.%Ag alloy, the Cu-25wt.%Ag alloy was prepared under HMF of 12 T, and for comparison, the alloy solidified without HMF was also fabricated. Macro and microstructures of the alloys were observed using the stereomicroscope, and scanning electron microscope, field emission scanning electron microscopy. The weight percentages of the pro-eutectic and eutectic, Cu phase and Ag phase in eutectic, and precipitates of Ag phase in pro-eutectic were analyzed by using of IPP software. Results show that the morphology of the column dendrites changes into cellular dendrites and the grains are refined under HMF of 12 T. Meanwhile, the thickness of the eutectic wall increases, but the sizes of Cu phase and Ag phase and the eutectic lamellar spacings are decreased. The Ag precipitates in the Cu matrix become coarser and sparser. The weight percentage variation of the phases in the microstructure and the Cu-Ag binary phase diagram reveals that the eutectic point moves to the left of the eutectic point in the equilibrium condition and the supersaturated solid solubility of Ag decreases under HMF.

Improved Relief Grinding Method of Gear Hob with Equal Relief Angle

The regrinding error is the main factor affecting the eligible length of hob tooth,how to decrease the regrinding error is a hot issue in the research area of hob *** present,researches focus on changing the trajectory of relief moving,because of no unified relief grinding path planning method,the research result is restricted in the practical *** solving the problem,the calculation model of the hob relief angle is established with the Archimedes relieving motion to analyze the interaction between the increasing relief angle of the hob and the accelerating tooth profile *** on it,the improved relief grinding method of gear hob is proposed with equal relief angle（ERA）.Furthermore,the relief grinding method with ERA is developed with the following two ***,the convergence numerical solution algorithm of the tooth top curve is designed to form the wheel motion path which is compared with that of traditional *** second step is to establish the solution model of ERA grinding *** order to verify the effect of the method,hob grinding simulation system of 3D solid was built under the AutoCAD *** regrinding errors is analyzed by intercepting the hob axial profiles of the various regrinding angles with Boolean operations and further converting it to basic rack tooth,then the simulation example of zero rake straight flute hob is used to compare the regrinding errors between ERA grinding and traditional ***,the experiments were implemented on the five-axis CNC relief grinder with the relief motion of ERA grinding driven by *** results of experiments show that the method can effectively reduce the regrinding errors of hob and grind expediently gear hob of AA rank and *** research provide an effective model of relief moving path plan reducing regrinding error,and have practicable value in CNC relief grinder.
