The invaluable book reports the outcome of the work of the Commission on Design Methodology of the International Society for Rock Mechanics （ISRM） in the ISRM＇s 2011-2015 term of office during which Professor John Hudson acted as Commission Presi- dent while Professor Xia-Ting Feng served as ISRM President. It pro- vides a sequel to the authors＇ previous book, Rock Engineering Design （Feng and Hudson, 2011）, which reported the work of the Commission in the ISRM＇s 2007-2011 term of office when Profes- sor Feng acted as Commission President and Professor Hudson served as ISRM President. The South African mining industry has been experiencing increasing economic pressure. Deep mines also suffer from very hot workplaces, which leads to safety risks. These factors place stress on managers to reach their production targets while providing safe workplace conditions. The data information knowledge wisdom(DIKW) model, also known as the wisdom hierarchy, was implemented on a deep mine cooling system. This study aims to show that a simple model such as the DIKW model can assist managers in improving their deep mine cooling system's performance. The study found that the DIKW approach is a suitable approach for use on mine cooling systems to facilitate operational *** the DIKW approach to a case study on a mine cooling system created substantial awareness and facilitated a cooling duty improvement of 55% which relates to an increase of 5.3 MW of refrigeration. The results of this study indicate that the DIKW approach may be a suitable approach to optimise management on deep mines using their existing infrastructure.

In this paper,we propose an end-to-end cross-layer gated attention network(CLGA-Net)to directly restore fog-free *** with the previous dehazing network,the dehazing model presented in this paper uses the smooth cavity convolution and local residual module as the feature extractor,combined with the channel attention mechanism,to better extract the restored features.A large amount of experimental data proves that the defogging model proposed in this paper is superior to previous defogging technologies in terms of structure similarity index(SSIM),peak signal to noise ratio(PSNR)and subjective visual *** order to improve the efficiency of decoding and encoding,we also describe a fusion residualmodule and conduct ablation experiments,which prove that the fusion residual is suitable for the dehazing ***,we use fusion residual as a fixed module for encoding and *** addition,we found that the traditional defogging model based on the U-net network may cause some information losses in *** have achieved effective maintenance of low-level feature information through the cross-layer gating structure that better takes into account global and subtle *** also present the application of our CLGA-Net in challenging scenarios where the best results in both quantity and quality can be *** results indicate that the present cross-layer gating module can be widely used in the same type of network.

According to the chemical and mineral composition characteristics of the fly ash,alumina can be extracted from fly ash through the calcining method by using sodium carbonate and calcium carbonate *** effects on leaching rate of alumina have been investigated. The results showed that the fly ash can be activated effectively and the leaching rate of alumina can be improved to more than 92% through this method. The best process parameters were the ratio of raw materials,i. e. the material weight ratio of fly ash,calcium carbonate and sodium carbonate was 1. 0∶1. 2∶0. 9. The activating temperature was 850℃-900℃,activating time was 3 h. This process has a potential application prospect and improves the value of comprehensive utilization of fly ash.

With the increasing number of airports and the expansion of their scale,the aviation network has become complex and *** order to investigate the complex network characteristics of aviation networks,this paper constructs a Chinese aviation network model and carries out related research based on complex network theory and K-means ***,the P-space model is employed to construct the Chinese aviation network ***,complex network indicators such as degree,clustering coefficient,average path length,betweenness and coreness are selected to investigate the complex characteristics and hierarchical features of aviation networks and explore their ***,using K-means clustering algorithm,five values are obtained as the initial clustering parameter K values for each of the aviation network hierarchies classified according to five complex network ***,clustering simulation experiments are conducted to obtain the visual clustering results of Chinese aviation network nodes under different K values,as well as silhouette coefficients for evaluating the clustering effect of each indicator in order to obtain the hierarchical classification of aviation networks under different ***,the silhouette coefficient is optimal when the K value is ***,the clustering results of the four layers of the aviation network can be *** to the experimental results,the complex network association discovery method combined with K-means algorithm has better applicability and simplicity,while the accuracy is improved.
