Adenosquamous carcinoma rarely occurs in the pancreas,and is characterized by the presence of cellular components from both duct adenocarcinoma and squamous ***,we describe a rare case of pancreatic adenosquamous carcinoma with sarcomatous *** showed that the sarcomatous lesion lost the epithelial marker and aberrantly expressed of acquired mesenchymal markers,which indicated that this special histological phenotype may be attributed to epithelial-mesenchymal *** case also indicated that a routine radical surgery without aggressive treatment strategies was still appropriate for adenosquamous carcinoma of the pancreas with sarcomatoid change.

Hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach (HAs) is a rare form of gastric cancer that has unique clinicopathological features and an extremely poor prognosis. Here, we report on three patients with suspected gastric cancer who were referred to our hospital. Gastrointestinal fiberscopy on the three patients revealed two lesions in the antrum and a third lesion in the gastroesophageal junction. The alpha fetoprotein (AFP) serum levels were markedly elevated in all cases. At the time of diagnosis, two cases were advanced stages with lymph nodes and/or liver metastases. Two patients underwent exploratory laparotomy. A total gastrectomy was performed on the operable lesion, and an expanded gastrectomy was completed in the case with hepatic metastases. Histopathological analysis revealed that the tumors displayed two pathological changes:hepatoid-like foci and adenocarcinomatous. Furthermore, the tumor cells were immunohistochemically positive for AFP, alpha-1 antitrypsin, and alpha-1 antichymotrypsin. All three patients received chemotherapy. The follow-up duration ranged from 8-36 mo. Our experience and previous published studies have suggested that HAs is an aggressive type of adenocarcinoma. However, radical surgery and chemotherapy may positively impact clinical outcomes.

The reactions of 4H-1,2,4-triazole（Htrz） with ZnCl2, 1H-tetrazole（Htez） and Cu（NO3）2·6H2O afford two novel coordination polymers respectively, {[Zn2（trz）2（ox）]（H2O）3}n（1） and {[Cu3（tez）3（OH）2（H2O）2]（NO3）（DMF）4}n（2）（H2ox =（COOH）2, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide）. 1 shows 1D channels along the a axis filled with water molecules and 2 features a 2D bi-layered framework based on trinuclear Cu（II） units bridged by two μ3-OH groups. In addition, in vitro antitumor activities of compounds 1 and 2 on four human lung cancer cells（16HBE, NCI-H1299, NCI-H460 and NCI-H292） were further determined.

situs inversus totalis(sIT) is a rare anomaly in which the abdominal and thoracic cavity structures are located opposite to their usual positions. Occasionally,patients with this condition are diagnosed with malignant tumors. We report a case of a 60-yearold woman with gastric cancer and sIT. Laparoscopyassisted distal gastrectomy(LADG) with D2 lymph node dissection and Billroth Ⅱ anastomosis were performed successfully on the patient by careful consideration of the mirror-image anatomy. The operation required 230 min, and no intraoperative complications occurred. The final pathological report was p T4 a N0M0,according to the American Joint Committee on Cancer 7th edition staging guidelines. The postoperative course was favorable, and the patient was discharged on postoperative day 8. We believe that this is the first case of LADG with D2 lymphadenectomy reported in a sIT patient with advanced gastric cancer.

Histiocytic sarcoma(Hs)is a rare malignant neoplasm that originates from a histiocytic hematopoietic lineage characterized by histiocytic differentiation and its corresponding immunophenotypic *** herein reported a case of primary Hs of the stomach which was confirmed through histopathologic examination and immunohistochemical staining.A 52-year-old woman presented with progressive difficulty in feeding and dull pain in the epigastric ***,endo-scopic ultrasonography,double contrast examination, and computed tomography revealed a mass located on the posterior wall of fundus and lesser curvature of the ***,the cytoplasm of the tumor cells was abundant and ***-chemical staining revealed that the tumor cells were positive for CD45RO and *** is difficult to differentiate Hs of stomach from other gastric malignancies by radiological evaluation ***,Hs may be considered when a protruding and ulcerated mass in stomach shows heterogeneous hypervascular *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first report in English language literature that emphasizes the imaging findings of human gastric Hs.

Objective： To test the influence of homocysteine on the production and activation of matrix metalloproteinase-2 （MMP-2） and tissue inhibitors of matrix metalloproteinase-2 （TIMP-2） and on cell migration of cultured rat vascular smooth muscle cells （VsMCs）. Also, to explore whether rosuvastatin can alter the abnormal secretion and activation of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 and migration of VsMCs induced by homocysteine. Methods： Rat VsMCs were incubated with different concentrations of homocysteine （50-5000 μmol/L）. Western blotting and gelatin zymography were used to investigate the expressions and activities of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 in VsMCs in culture medium when induced with homocysteine for 24, 48, and 72 h. Transwell chambers were employed to test the migratory ability of VsMCs when incubated with homocysteine for 48 h. Different concentrations of rosuvastatin （10^-9-10^-5 mol/L） were added when VsMCs were induced with 1 000 pmol/L homocysteine. The expressions and activities of MMP-2 and TIMP-2 were examined after incubating for 24, 48, and 72 h, and the migration of VsMCs was also examined after incubating for 48 h. Results： Homocysteine （50-1000 μmol/L） increased the production and activation of MMP-2 and expression of TIMP-2 in a dose-dependent manner. However, when incubated with 5000 pmol/L homocysteine, the expression of MMP-2 was up-regulated, but its activity was down-regulated. Increased homocysteine-induced production and ac- tivation of MMP-2 were reduced by rosuvastatin in a dose-dependent manner whereas secretion of TIMP-2 was not significantly altered by rosuvastatin. Homocysteine （50-5000 μmol/L） stimulated the migration of VsMCs in a dose-dependent manner, but this effect was eliminated by rosuvastatin. Conclusions： Homocysteine （50-1000 μmol/L） significantly increased the production and activation of MMP-2, the expression of TIMP-2, and the migration of VsMCs in a dose-dependent manner. To investigate the clinical and computed tomography(CT)features of desmoplastic small round cell tumor(DsRCT),we retrospectively analyzed the clinical presentations,treatment and outcome,as well as CT manifestations of four cases of DsRCT confirmed by surgery and *** CT manifestations of DsRCT were as follows:(1)multiple soft-tissue masses or diffuse peritoneal thickening in the abdomen and pelvis,with the dominant mass usually located in the pelvic cavity;(2)masses without an apparent organbased primary site;(3)mild to moderate homogeneous or heterogeneous enhancement in solid area on enhanced CT;and(4)secondary manifestations,such as ascites,hepatic metastases,lymphadenopathy,hydronephrosis and *** prognosis and overall survival rates were generally *** used treatment strategies including aggressive tumor resection,polychemotherapy,and radiotherapy,showed various therapeutic *** of DsRCT shows characteristic features that are helpful in *** discovery and complete resection,coupled with postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy,are important for prognosis of *** abdominopelvic rather than locoregional radiotherapy is more effective for unresectable DsRCT.

Multiple myeloma(MM)is a plasma cell malignancy and remains incurable as it lacks effective curative approaches;thus,novel therapeutic strategies are desperately *** study aimed to explore the therapeutic role of dihydromyricetin(DHM)in MM and explore its *** MM and normal plasma samples,human MM cell lines,and normal plasma cells were used for in vitro *** counting kit-8(CCK-8),flow cytometry,and trans-well assays were performed for the assessment of cell viability,apoptosis,migration,and invasion,*** real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)was employed to assess the mRNA expression of signal transducer and activator of transcription 1(sTAT1)and retinoic acid-inducible gene I(RIG-I).Western blotting was employed to assess E-cadherin,N-cadherin,signal transducer,sTAT1,p-sTAT1,and RIG-I protein expression.A tumor xenograft model was used for in vivo ***,dihydromyricetin(DHM)dose-dependently restrained viability,apoptosis,migration,and invasion,and facilitated apoptosis of U266 *** DHM treatment,the Ecadherin level was increased and the N-cadherin level was decreased in U266 and RPMI-8226 cells,suggesting the inhibitory effects of DHM on epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)in ***,the levels of p-sTAT1/sTAT1 and RIG-I were down-regulated in ***,the sTAT1 inhibitor fludarabine undid the suppressive effect of DMH on the malignant characteristics of U266 ***,DHM inhibited MM tumor growth and EMT,and activated sTAT1/RIG-I pathway in ***,this study first revealed that DHM can restrain EMT and tumor growth in MM by activating sTAT1/RIG-I signaling,which provides a novel drug for the treatment of MM.
