Surface decomposition and annealing behavior of GaN implanted with Eu

Investigations on surface decomposition of GaN implanted with low energy (80 keV) Eu ion to a low dose (l×1014 cm-2), and its annealing behavior under high temperature (1050℃) in N2 are performed. The as-grown, as-implanted and annealed GaN films are characterized by proton elastic scattering (PES), Rutherford backscattering spectrometry (RBS), photoluminescence (PL) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The results show that Eu ion implantation induces radiation defects and decomposition of GaN. The GaN surface decomposition is more serious during high temperature annealing. The atomic ratio of N in as-grown, as-implanted and annealed GaN film is 47 at.%, 44 at.% and 40 at.%, respectively. As a result, a rough Ga-rich layer is formed at the surface, though the lattice defects are partly removed after high temperature annealing.

We investigate proton-rich isotopes 31,32Cl using the nonlinear relativistic mean-field model. It is shown that this model can reproduce the properties of these nuclei well. A long tail appears in the calculated proton density distribution of 31Cl. The results of relativistic density-dependent Hartree theory show a similar trend of tail density distribution. It is strongly suggested that there is a proton halo in 31Cl and it is indicated that there may exist proton skin in 31Cl. The relation between the proton halo in 1Cl and the new proton magic number is discussed.

The properties of the α decay nuclei of ~(310)126, ~(292)120 and ~(298)114 are investigated in the deformed relativistic mean-field model. The nuclear properties are investigated with the TMA and NL-Z2 parameter sets, and compared with Moller\'s result [At. Data Nucl. Data Tables 59 (1995) 185]. The results show that the decay energy increases systematically with the increasing proton number. Meanwhile, the α decay energy has a minimum value at the point of shell closure. It is also found that of the three nuclei, ~(292)120 is the more likely to be the next doubly magic nucleus.

The propoerties of radicals fromγ-ray irradiated silk fabrics were studied by electron spin resonance method(ESR).The ESR spectra of silk fabrics irradiated in N2 showed a doublet at room temperature,The doublet became a singlet at g=2.0057 after placing the sample in air for 24 *** can be explained by formation of peroxide *** radical concentration of the irradiated silk fabric and the decay rate of radicals are significantly affected by irradiation *** include the absorbed ***,and water content of the silk fabric ***,no dose rate effect on the radical concentration was *** results are of help in our practice of property modification of silk products by radiation graft copolymerization.

X-ray mass absorption coefficients play an important role in the accu racy of any XRF intensity calculation. It is necessary to determine the proper schemes for providing satisfying values μ/ρ. In this work we examined and compared various schemes. A program based on the existing schemes to provide more accurate and convenient μ/ρ values was then introduced. The results from the program appears to be tolerable.

Two kinds of rhenium labeled radiopharmaceuticals for therapy of the human brain glioma were ***-human brain glioma monoclonal antibody (McAb-SZ39) was directly labeled with 186 ReO4^-.When ascorbic acid was used as reduction agent of antibody and the reduction of 186 ReO4^- was finished in sodium gluconate solution(pH=2.54),the labeling efficiency was 96.2%,After purification,the labeled products were tested in respect of immunoreactivity,in vitro stability as well as inhibitory efficiency against human glioma transplanted in nude mice,188ReO4^- labeled colloid was synthesized by using a two-step *** size of radiocolloid particles was around 2-5μm,and the radiochemical yield was over 95%,Nude mice Experiments demonstrated that the inhibitory efficiency against human brain glioma of 188Re-collied and ^188 Re-McAb-SZ39 was 90% and 65% ,respectively.

Investigation on the priming effect of a CVD diamond microdosimeter

CVD diamond microdosimeter is an ideal substitute of common *** detector for extremely strong radiation experimental environment due to its high band gap energy, fast charge collection, low dielectric constant and hardness. In order to improve its character, a CVD diamond microdosimeter was irradiated by a proton dose of 46 Gy, and a lateral micro-ion beam induced charge (IBIC) technique was utilized to characterize it in low beam current (～fA). It was clearly shown that charge collection efficiency and energy resolution were greatly improved after proton irradiation of that dose. Moreover, the homogeneities of both its counting performance and collection efficiency were enhanced. Proton irradiation of 46 Gy has been proved to be an effective way to prime a CVD diamond.

Nuclear Radii Extracted from Experimental Reaction Cross Sections

We illustrate typical experimental reaction cross sections σR which have obtained on RIBLL at Heavy Ion Research Facility of the Institute of Modern Physics (IMP) at Lanzhou. The corresponding nuclear radii are extracted from the measured experimental σR using the Glauber model. Meanwhile, theoretical nuclear radii are also calculated using Relativistic density-dependent Hartree and spherical relativistic mean-field theory with Pauli blocking. For comparison, the nuclear radii of these nuclei are also calculated using the empirical radius format in which the deformation has been taken into account. From the given experimental and theoretical nuclear radii, we suggest that there may exist proton halo structure in 23Al, 27P and may exist proton skin structure in 24Al. We also find that the deformation plays a great role to the nuclear radii.
