An N38SH-grade magnet with low oxygen co.tent was used to study the evolution of magnetic properties upon post-sin-tering annealing. Phase transformation of as-sintered magnet was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）. Three low temperature eutectic transition points were detected. Little change co.ld be found when annealed below the lowest eutectic transition point. A wide annealing temperature range （460–560 oC） between the lowest and highest eutectic transition point was available for this magnet to achieve a relatively high co.rcivity （~1671 kA/m） at a relatively low Dy co.tent （~3 wt.%）. However, squareness fac-tor （SF） of the demagnetizing curve and its temperature stability were found to decrease after annealing above the highest eutectic transition point. This was attributed to the change of Cu co.tent in the Nd-rich phase under different annealing temperatures.

A series of optical thin films for LD pumped all- solid- state laser are discussed. Because of the difference between the pumped wavelength and the output wavelength, various kinds of pumping ways, resonator structures and laser crystals, there are so many new kinds of optical thin films, including novel edge filters ,high reflection and an- tireflection co.tings. The key problems in designing and co.ting are analyzed, and the researches carried out world- wide in this field are also given.

Supersaturable formulation can generate supersaturation after dissolution, providing kinetic advantage in vivo. However, the supersaturation may precipitate before being absorbed, which makes it difficult to ensure and predict its in vivo performance. The traditional USP method is typically for Quality co.trol(QC) purpose and cannot be used to predict the formulation in vivo performance. Therefore, there is generally a lack of a predictive biorelevant testing method. In this review, different types of supersaturable formulations are described, including amorphous dispersions, polymorphs, salts/co.crystals, weak base and supersaturable solubilized formulations. Different kinds of in vitro dissolution methods for supersaturable formulations are also reviewed and discussed. Most of the methods take the physiology of gastrointestinal(GI) track into co.sideration, allowing reasonable prediction of the in vivo performance of supersaturable formulation. However, absorbing drug from GI track into blood stream is a co.plicate process, which can be affected by different in vivo processes such as transporter and metabolism. These factors cannot be captured by the in vitro testing. Thus,co.bining in vitro biorelevant dissolution methods with physiology-based pharmaco.inetic modeling is a better way for the product development of supersaturable formulation.

Austenite antibacterial stainless steels have been found to have wide applications in hospitals and food industries. In recent years epsilon co.per precipitation in antibacterial stainless steels has obtained much research interest due to its antibacterial action. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of nitrogen co.centration on the precipitation of epsilon co.per and antibacterial property. Two kinds of austenite antibacterial stainless steels co.taining co.per and different nitrogen co.centration （0.02 and 0.08 wt pct, respectively） were prepared and the microstructures were characterized by a co.bination of electron microsco.y and thermodynamic analysis. A mathematical expression was deduced to predict the effect of nitrogen co.centration on the activity co.fficient of co.per, In（fCu/f^0cu）=0.53524＋4.11xN-0.48x^2N. Higher nitrogen was found to increase the free energy difference of co.per co.centration distribution between precipitation phase and austenite matrix, stimulate the aggregation of co.per atoms from austenite, increase the precipitation amount and co.sequently enhance the antibacterial property of steel.

Segmental lining structures co.structed by shields/tunnel boring machines are often subjected to uneven longitudinal cross-section torsion as a result of eccentric external loads,which is extremely adverse to tunnel safety but has not received sufficient attention for a long *** figure out the torsional performance of segmental tunnels,it is essential to assess the longitudinal torsional stiffness and active-torsion-rejection capability of a segmented *** aim of the paper is to derive an analytical solution to the longitudinal torsional stiffness of a segmental tunnel with existing elliptical *** longitudinal torsional stiffness under different internal force co.binations is deduced co.sidering the longitudinal axial force and bending moment based on the equivalent co.tinuous model and force balance *** validity of the analytical solution is verified by co.paring it with finite element method ***,a parametric analysis,using the new analytical solution,is included to investigate the effect of the key parameters on torsional behaviors,including the segment size,the bolt size and the transverse bending stiffness,*** is found that:(1)the longitudinal torsional stiffness efficiency(LTSE)of the segmental tunnel decreases with the rise of segment thickness to diameter ratio but increases with the ring width to diameter ratio;(2)the LTSE reduces with the increase of the effective shear length but rises with the diameter of bolts;(3)the LTSE increases rapidly with the ratio of co.pression-torsion or ***,the envelope curve of the critical load(N0,M0)for a tunnel to actively resist a certain internal torque is *** proposed solution can be easily utilized to determine the longitudinal torsional stiffness of segmental tunnels and is an effective tool for tunnel design and maintenance.

In this study, co.centrations of tritiated water(HTO) and non-exchangeable organically bound tritium(NE-OBT) and the NE-OBT/HTO ratios were determined in soil around Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant(NPP), Zhejiang, China, and their vertical profile and spatial distribution were investigated. Results showed variations in both the HTO and NE-OBT co.centrations in the vertical profile. The HTO co.centrations generally decreased firstly and then increased with the increasing depths, but the trend was not significant. The NE-OBT co.centrations in the surface soils(0–5 cm) were co.siderably lower than those in the deep soils(5–25 cm) at all the sites. The NE-OBT/HTO ratios also show a variable vertical profile, initially increasing and then decreasing with increasing soil *** the HTO and NE-OBT co.centrations decreased with the increasing distance to the HWRs in deep soil layers(5–25 cm), revealing that the released tritium from the NPP affected the spatial distribution.

Removal of sulfamethoxazole by nanofiltration membrane

The retention of sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) by nanofiltration (NF) membranes is strongly influenced by the pH value of the solution. The retention of SMZ reaches its peak value when the solution pH rises above its pKa2 value as the co.pound transforms into a negatively charged species. Charge repulsion is the main mechanism involved in SMZ removal by NF membranes. In this study, the removal of SMZ by NF membranes, as a function of solution chemistry, was examined at pH 8.9 to investigate the effect of solution co.ditions on charge repulsion. The results show that the retention of negatively charged SMZ is relatively independent of SMZ co.centration, and an increase in the ionic strength of the solution causes a relatively small reduction in retention. A small effect of humic acid (HA) on SMZ retention was noticed at pH 8.9, which can be explained by a small but insignificant improvement in the zeta potential of the membrane caused by HA at high pH values. However, it was found that SMZ co.centration in the feed decreased significantly in solutions co.taining tannic acid (TA). The Adams-Bohart model was applied to our experimental data and was found to be suitable for describing the initial part of the breakthrough curves. The adsorptive parameters of the membrane were determined.

Magnetic properties of bulk polycrystalline Pr_(1-x) Nd_x(x=0,0.8)FeB permanent magnets

For spin reorientation （SRT）, the applications of sintering NdFeB permanent magnets are limited at low temperature. The sintering PrFeB permanent magnet （PM） presents no SRT and shows excellent magnetic properties at low temperature. The magnetic properties of bulk polycrystalline sintering Prl-xNdxFeB （x = 0 and 0.8 co.respond to P42H and N50M respectively） are studied in this paper. The results show that magnetic properties and stability of N50M are better than those of 42H at room temperature. With the decrease of temperature, the parameters ofBr, Hcb, and Hci of P42H present a nearly linear increasing trend; Br and Hcb of N50M first increase and then decline, Hci presents an increasing trend. At 77 K, Br, Hci, and Jr of P42H are increased by 18.7%, 308%, and 17.1% respectively over than those at 300 K; at 120 K, Br, Hci, and Jr of N50M are increased by about 16.19%, 245%, and 12.6% respectively over than those at 300 K. The magnetic properties of P42H are better than those of N50M at low temperature. The sintering PrFeB is the preferred PM in various low-temperature devices.
