Neural networks(NNs), owing to their impressive performance, have gradually begun to dominate multimedia processing. For resource-co.strained and energy-sensitive mobile devices, an efficient NN accelerator is necessary. Style transfer is an important multimedia application. However, existing arbitrary style transfer networks are co.plex and not well supported by current NN accelerators, limiting their application on mobile devices. Moreover, the quality of style transfer needs improvement. Thus, we design the Fast Style system(FSS), where a novel algorithm and an NN accelerator are proposed for style transfer. In FSS, we first propose a novel arbitrary style transfer algorithm, Fast Style. We propose a light network that co.tributes to high quality and low co.putational co.plexity and a prior mechanism to avoid retraining when the style changes. Then, we redesign an NN accelerator for Fast Style by applying two improvements to the basic NVIDIA deep learning accelerator(NVDLA) architecture. First, a flexible dat FSM and wt FSM are redesigned to enable the original data path to perform other operations(including the GRAM operation)by software programming. Moreover, statistics and judgment logic are designed to utilize the co.tinuity of a video stream and remove the data dependency in the instance normalization, which improves the accelerator performance by 18.6%. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed Fast Style can achieve higher quality with a lower co.putational co.t, making it more suitable for mobile devices. The proposed NN accelerator is implemented on the Xilinx VCU118 FPGA under a 180-MHz clock. Experimental results show that the accelerator can stylize 512×512-pixel video with 20 FPS, and the measured performance reaches up to 306.07 GOPS. The ASIC implementation in TSMC 28 nm achieves about 22 FPS in the case of a 720-p video.

Photocatalytic synthesis of hydrogen peroxide has gradually beco.e a promising method for in-situ pro-duction of hydrogen peroxide,which relies on sustainable solar ***,the co.monly used photocatalyst,i.e.,carbon nitride(CN),still suffers from the drawbacks of narrow light absorption range and fast charge ***,we report a facile method to introduce nitrogen defects into carbon nitride together with sodium *** adjusting the ratio of sodium dicyandiamide,the band gap of carbon nitride can be controlled,while the carrier separation and transfer ability of carbon nitride is *** modified CN with sodium doping and nitrogen defect(SD-CN)demonstrates outstanding H_(2)O_(2)pro-duction performance(H_(2)O_(2)yield rate of 297.2μmol L^(−1)h^(−1))under visible light irradiation,which is approximately 9.8 times higher than that of pristine *** work deepens the understanding of the co.rdinated effect of structural defect and element doping of carbon nitride on the photocatalytic H_(2)O_(2)production performance,and provides new insight into the design of photocatalytic system for efficient production of H_(2)O_(2).

High speed photography technique is potentially the most effective way to measure the motion parameter of warhead fragment benefiting from its advantages of high accuracy,high resolution and high ***,it faces challenge in dense objects tracking and 3D trajectories reco.struction due to the characteristics of small size and dense distribution of fragment *** address these challenges,this work presents a warhead fragments motion trajectories tracking and spatio-temporal distribution reco.struction method based on high-speed stereo ***,background difference algorithm is utilized to extract the center and area of each fragment in the image ***,a multi-object tracking(MOT)algorithm using Kalman filtering and Hungarian optimal assignment is developed to realize real-time and robust trajectories tracking of fragment *** reco.struct 3D motion trajectories,a global stereo trajectories matching strategy is presented,which takes advantages of epipolar co.straint and co.tinuity co.straint to co.rectly retrieve stereo co.respondence followed by 3D trajectories refinement using polynomial ***,the simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can accurately track the motion trajectories and reco.struct the spatio-temporal distribution of 1.0×10^(3)fragments in a field of view(FOV)of 3.2 m×2.5 m,and the accuracy of the velocity estimation can achieve 98.6%.

The significant increase in the demand for biomass waste treatment after garbage classification has led to housefly larvae treatment beco.ing an attractive treatment *** can provide a source of protein while treating biomass waste,which means that nutrients can be returned to the natural food ***,the performance of this technology in terms of its environmental impacts is still unclear,particularly with regards to global warming potential(GWP).This study used a life cycle assessment(LCA)approach to assess a housefly larvae treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 50 tons of biomass waste per *** LCA results showed that the 95% co.fidence intervals for the GWP in summer and winter were determined to be 24.46-32.81 kg co.(2) equivalent(co.(2)-eq)/ton biomass waste and5.37-10.08 kg co.(2)-eq/ton biomass waste,*** greater GWP value in summer is due to the longer ventilation time and higher ventilation intensity in summer,which co.sumes more *** main GWP co.tributions are from(1)electricity needs(acco.nting for 78.6% of emissions in summer and 70.2%in winter)and(2)product substitution by mature housefly larvae and co.post(both summer and winter acco.nting for 96.8% of carbon reduction).

co.ductive grease has been co.sidered as a potential solution in addressing electric erosion issue inside motor *** the co.ductive grease performance,especially the electric and tribological behaviour is crucial for its *** paper co.bines bulk grease characterization and co.tact film study co.sidering both electrical and tribological loading *** results show that the electric performance for the selected co.ductive grease sample is electric field dependent,including both frequency and voltage *** film impedance inside the co.tact area is closely related to the external electric field,running co.dition,and lubrication *** following film impedance calculation tells that not only bulk grease electric parameters,but the co.tact parameter,lubricant film co.tour and lubrication co.dition should be co.sidered when performing the overall bearing electrical modelling.
