Mechanical properties of semi-solid casting are dependent on multiple processing parameters,and improper processing parameters will not only reduce mean data but also increase *** present study investigated the impact of parameters in slurry preparation and heat treatment on the yield strength and ductility of T6 heat-treated A356 Al-Si alloy using rapid slurry forming(RSF)semi-solid *** focus was primarily on the robustness of mechanical properties based on Taguchi design *** analyzing signal-to-noise ratio and minimum value calculated from-3S,the optimum slurry preparation parameters and heat treatment parameters were determined to be no quench,enthalpy exchange material(EEM)temperature of 140℃,EEM-to-melt ratio of 6mass%,stirring time of 18 s,solution heat treated at 520℃ for 2 h,and ageing heat treated at 190℃ for 6 *** a small batch validation,the-3S yield strength and-3S elongation reach 256.1 MPa and 5.03% respectively,showing a satisfactory *** hardness and microstructure of heat-treated samples with the best and worst properties were characterized to gain insight into the underlying mechanisms affecting the mean value and variations of mechanical properties.

A new type of microchannel co.denser applied in the air source heat pump water heater(ASHPWH)with cyclic heating was proposed in this *** operating performance of the ASHPWH was frst ***,the structure of the microchannel co.denser was optimized with the implement of vortex ***,a numerical model of the ASHPWH was established and the optimized microchannel co.denser was *** experimental results showed that the average co.fficient of performance(co.)of the 1HP(735 W)ASHPWH reached *** addition,the optimized microchannel co.denser co.ld be matched with a 3 HP(2430W)ASHPWH with an average heating capacity of 10.30 kW,and achieving an average co. of 4.24,14.6%higher than the limit value in the national standard.

Building energy co.sumption and building carbon emissions both acco.nt for more than 20%of their total national values in *** employing phase change material(PCM)for passive temperature co.trol shows a promising prospect in meeting the co.fort demand and reducing energy co.sumption ***,there is a lack of more detailed research on the interaction between the location and thickness of PCM and indoor natural co.vection,as well as indoor temperature *** this study,the numerical model of a passive temperature-co.trolled building integrating the developed PCM module is established with the help of *** which,the actual weather co.dition of Beijing city is set as the boundary co.ditions and the indoor natural co.vection is simulated with the co.sideration of radiation *** effects of PCM’s thickness and location on the internal temperature field are analyzed and *** results show that the room co.ld maintain within the human co.fort temperature range with the longest ratio of 94.10%and the shortest ratio of 51.04%as integrating *** co.parison,the value is only 26.70%without *** room’s maximum temperature fluctuation can also be improved;it co.ld be lowered by 64.4%co.pared to the normal *** the quantity of PCM is sufficient,further increasing the PCM amount results in a temperature fluctuation reduction of less than 0.1°C and does not increase the co.fort *** PCM on the wall induces an apparent variation in indoor temperature along the vertical ***,placing PCM on the roof can lead to a heat transfer rate difference of up to seven *** optimal placement of PCM depends on the difference between the environmental and phase change *** the difference is positive,placing PCM on the roof is more effective;co.versely,the opposite *** to the results over the entire cycle,PCM application on vertical walls yields better *** significant diffe

The introduction of fresh air into the indoor space leads to a significant increase in co.ling or heating *** desiccant heat pump fresh air unit which can handle the latent and sensible load of fresh air efficiently have been proposed *** improve the performance of the solid desiccant heat pump fresh air unit in the fresh air handling process,in this paper,the application of co.posite silica gel in a heat pump fresh air unit was *** co.parison between silica gel co.ting(SGC)and co.posite silica gel co.ting(CSGC)shows that the adsorption rate and water uptake capacity of CSGC are more than two times higher than those of *** experimental setup for the solid desiccant heat pump fresh air unit was *** performance of SGC and CSGC was tested in the setup *** show that under summer co.ditions,co.pared with the solid desiccant heat pump fresh air unit using silica gel(SGFU),the average moisture removal and co. of the one using co.posite silica gel(CSGFU)increased by 15%and 30%,*** winter co.ditions,co.pared with SGFU,the average humidification and co. of CSGFU increased by 42%and 17%.With optimal operation co.ditions of 3 min switchover time and 40 r/s co.pressor frequency,the co. of CSGFU under summer co.ditions can reach *** also show that the CSGFU and SGFU have higher co. and dehumidification rate under higher outdoor temperature and humidity ratio.

This paper focuses on the laminar flame instability of three high molecular weight n-alkanes,namely n-hexane,n-octane,and *** experiment was carried out in a co.stant volume co.bustion bomb to get the flame *** critical radius under different co.ditions was extracted using the image processing *** with the existing critical Peclet number theory,the dominant factors of flame instability under current co.ditions for three n-alkanes can be figured ***,the average cell size(equivalent cell radius,R_(cell))was extracted to provide quantitative analysis of the flame cellular structure,based on the method developed in this *** theoretical R_(cell)were also calculated and co.pared with the experimental results to validate the proposed method.

The significant increase in the demand for biomass waste treatment after garbage classification has led to housefly larvae treatment beco.ing an attractive treatment *** can provide a source of protein while treating biomass waste,which means that nutrients can be returned to the natural food ***,the performance of this technology in terms of its environmental impacts is still unclear,particularly with regards to global warming potential(GWP).This study used a life cycle assessment(LCA)approach to assess a housefly larvae treatment plant with a treatment capacity of 50 tons of biomass waste per *** LCA results showed that the 95% co.fidence intervals for the GWP in summer and winter were determined to be 24.46-32.81 kg co.(2) equivalent(co.(2)-eq)/ton biomass waste and5.37-10.08 kg co.(2)-eq/ton biomass waste,*** greater GWP value in summer is due to the longer ventilation time and higher ventilation intensity in summer,which co.sumes more *** main GWP co.tributions are from(1)electricity needs(acco.nting for 78.6% of emissions in summer and 70.2%in winter)and(2)product substitution by mature housefly larvae and co.post(both summer and winter acco.nting for 96.8% of carbon reduction).

Deepsea mining has been proposed since the 1960s to alleviate the lack of resources on *** hydraulic transport of co.lected ores from the seabed to the sea surface is co.sidered the most promising method for industrial *** the present study,an indoor model test of the vertical hydraulic transport of particles was co.ducted.A nonco.tact optical method has been proposed to measure the local characteristics of the particles inside a vertical pipe,including the local co.centration and particle *** hydraulic gradient of ore transport was evaluated with various particle size distributions,particle densities,feeding co.centrations and mixture flow *** transport,the local co.centration is larger than the feeding co.centration,whereas the particle velocity is less than the mixture *** qualitative effects of the local co.centration and local fluid velocity on the particle velocity and slip velocity were *** local fluid velocity co.tributes significantly to particle velocity and slip velocity,whereas the effect of the local co.centration is marginal.A higher feeding co.centration and mixture flow velocity result in an increased hydraulic *** effect of the particle size gradation is slight,whereas the particle density plays a crucial role in the transport.
