Developing organic room-temperature phosphorescence （RTP） materials with a wide range of tunable-emission is significant in expanding the applications of RTP ***,we rationally designed amphiphilic alternating copolymers poly(1,2-bis（4-alkoxyphenyl）ethane-1,2-dione-alt-（ethylene glycol）x)(P（Bz-alt-EGx）) that combined the advantage of alternating benzil and EGxskeleton,and tunable mainchain *** a mainchain conformation ordering assembly （COA） process,P（Bz-alt-EGx） self-assembled into well-defined platelets,and such assemblies emitted blue RTP at ca.425 nm due to the ordered folded-chain conformation and confined *** contrast,traditional self-assembly （TA） of P（Bz-alt-EGx） obtained less ordered aggregates,such as asymmetric worms,vesicles,and rod-like *** resultant less ordered aggregates exhibited yellow-green RTP at ca.550 *** wide-tuning RTP emission in solution （between blue and yellow-green,over125 nm） is realized using the P（Bz-alt-EGx） alternating copolymers under the treatment of different self-assembly *** study uncovers a new strategy to tailor the RTP emission through different self-assembly pathways and holds great promise for the fabrication of advanced optical materials.

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBH) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBH can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

Background Compromised neurocognition is a core feature of schizophrenia. With increasing studies researching cognitive function of Chinese patients with first-episode schizophrenia (FES) using MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB), it is not clear about the level and pattern of cognitive impairment among this population. Aim To provide a meta-analysis systematically analysing studies of neurocognitive function using MCCB in Chinese patients with FES. Methods An independent literature search of both Chinese and English databases up to 13 March 2019 was conducted by two reviewers. Standardised mean difference (SMD) was calculated using the random effects model to evaluate the effect size. Results 56 studies (FES=3167, healthy controls (HC)=3017) were included and analysed. No study was rated as 'high quality' according to Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology. Compared with HCs, Chinese patients with FES showed impairment with large effect size in overall cognition (SMD=-1.60,95% Cl -1.82 to -1.38,厂=67%) and all seven cognitive domains, with the SMD ranging from -0.87 to -1.41. In nine MCCB subtests, patients with FES showed significant difference in Symbol Coding (SMD=-1.90), Trail Making Test (TMT)(SMD=-1.36), Continuous Performance Test-Identical Pairs (SMD=-1.33), Hopkins Verbal Learning Test (SMD=-1.24), Brief Visuospatial Memory Test (SMD=-1.18), Mazes (SMD=-1.16), Category Fluency (SMD=-1.01), Spatial Span (SMD=-0.69) and Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (SMD=-0.38). Conclusions Our meta-analysis demonstrates that Chinese patients with FES show neurocognitive deficits across all seven MCCB cognitive domains and all nine subtests, particularly in two neurocognitive domains: speed of processing and attention/vigilance, with the least impairment shown in social cognition. Symbol Coding and TMT may be the most sensitive tests to detect cognitive deficit in Chinese patients with FES.

Early distinction of bipolar disorder(BD)from major depressive disorder(MDD)is difficult since no tools are available to estimate the risk of *** this study,we aimed to develop and validate a model of oxidative stress injury for predicting *** were collected from 1252 BD and 1359 MDD patients,including 64 MDD patients identified as converting to BD from 2009 through 2018.30 variables from a randomly-selected subsample of 1827(70%)patients were used to develop the model,including age,sex,oxidative stress markers(uric acid,bilirubin,albumin,and prealbumin),sex hormones,cytokines,thyroid and liver function,and glycolipid *** analyses and the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator were applied for data dimension reduction and variable *** logistic regression was used to construct a model for predicting bipolar disorder by oxidative stress biomarkers(BIOS)on a *** validation was assessed in the remaining 784 patients(30%),and independent external validation was done with data from 3797 matched patients from five other hospitals in China.10 predictors,mainly oxidative stress markers,were shown on the *** BIOS model showed good discrimination in the training sample,with an AUC of 75.1%(95%CI:72.9%–77.3%),sensitivity of 0.66,and specificity of *** discrimination was good both in internal validation(AUC 72.1%,68.6%–75.6%)and external validation(AUC 65.7%,63.9%–67.5%).In this study,we developed a nomogram centered on oxidative stress injury,which could help in the individualized prediction of *** better real-world practice,a set of measurements,especially on oxidative stress markers,should be emphasized using big data in psychiatry.

Background People with schizophrenia have a high premature mortality *** is a key potential underlying risk factor that is relatively unevaluated to *** In this study,we investigated the associations of routinely recorded body size with all-cause mortality and deaths from common causes in a large cohort of people with schizophrenia spectrum *** We assembled a retrospective observational cohort using data from a large mental health service in South *** followed all patients over the age of 18 years with a clinical diagnosis of schizophrenia spectrum disorders from the date of their first recorded body mass index(BMI)between 1 January 2007 and 31 March *** Of 11900 patients with a BMI recording,1566 *** Cox proportional hazards regression models,after adjusting for sociodemographic,socioeconomic variables and comorbidities,indicated that all-cause mortality was only associated with underweight status compared with healthy weight status(hazard ratio(HR):1.33,95%confidence interval(CI):1.01 to 1.76).Obesity(HR:1.24,95%CI:1.01 to 1.52)and morbid obesity(HR:1.54,95%CI:1.03 to 2.42)were associated with all-cause mortality in the 18–45 years age range,and obesity was associated with lower risk(HR:0.66,95%CI:0.50 to 0.87)in those aged 65+*** mortality was raised in underweight individuals(HR:1.93,95%CI:1.03 to 4.10)and respiratory disease mortality raised in those with morbid obesity(HR:2.17,95%CI:1.02 to 5.22).Conclusions Overall,being underweight was associated with higher mortality in this disorder group;however,this was potentially accounted for by frailty in older age groups,and obesity was a risk factor for premature mortality in younger *** impact of obesity on life expectancy for people with schizophrenia spectrum disorders is clear from our findings.A deeper biological understanding of the relationship between these diseases and schizophrenia will help improve clinical practice.

Currently, the etiology and pathogenesis of BD remain unclear. In this study, we aimed to （1） identify white matter （WM） deficits underlying the consciousness level in patients with disorders of consciousness （DOCs） using diffusion tensor imaging （DTI）, and （2） evaluate the relationship between DTI metrics and clinical measures of the consciousness level in DOC patients. With a cohort of 8 comatose, 8 unresponsive wakefulness syndrome/ vegetative state, and 14 minimally conscious state patients and 25 patient controls, we performed group comparisons of the DTI metrics in 48 core WM regions of interest （ROIs）, and examined the clinical relevance using correlation analysis. We identified multiple abnormal WM ROIs in DOC patients compared with normal controls, and the DTI metrics in these ROIs were significantly correlated with clinical measures of the consciousness level. Therefore, our findings suggested that multiple WM tracts are involved in the impaired consciousness levels in DOC patients and demonstrated the clinical relevance of DTI for DOC patients.
