Inthis paper, each of the two phases in dense two-phase flow is considered as continuous medium and the fundamental equations for two-phase flow arc described in Eulerian form. The generalized constitutive relation of the Bingham fluid is appl.ed to the dispersed phase with the analysis oj physical mech.nism of dense two-phase flow. The shearing stress of dispersed phase at a wall is used to give a boundary condition. Then a math.matical model for dense two-phase flow is obtained. In addition, the expressions of shearing stress of dispersed phase at a wall is derived according to the fundamental model of the friclional collision between dispersed-plutse particles and the wall.

The cavitated bifurcation problem in a solid sphere composed oftwo compressible hyper-elas- tic materials is examined. Thebifurcation solution for the composed sphere under a uniform radialtensile boundary dead-load is obtained. The bifurcation curves andthe stress contributions subsequent to the cavita- tion are *** right and left bifurcation as well as the catastrophe andconcentration of stresses are ana- lyzed. The stability of solutionsis discussed through an energy comparison.

SOME POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS OF NEAR TIP FIELDS FOR STEADY CRACK GROWTH IN ELASTIC PERFECTLY-PLASTIC MEDIA

＜正＞The interfacial waves due to an immersed body moving with a constant velocity in a system of two semi-infinite immiscible fluids of different densities are investigated analytically. The two fluids are assumed to be incompressible and homogenous. The body immersed above or beneath the interface is modeled as a fundamental singularity. There are three different systems to be considered, namely, a system with two inviscid fluids, a system with an upper viscous and a lower inviscid fluid, and a system with an upper inviscid and a lower viscous fluid. The effects of density ratio, immersion depth, and viscosity on wave patterns are analytically expressed. It is found that the amplitudes of interfacial waves are damped and the wavelengths elongated in comparison with those of free-surface waves for a single fluid.

The problems of a solitary wave passing over rectangular cylinders were analyzed. Based on the full nonlinear two dimensional Navier-Stokes equation, the numerical simulation was performed. The free surface was dealt with by the Volume of fluid method. The results for a solitary wave passing over a single cylinder and two cylinders with different gaps were given. By comparing with the experimental data of Seabra-Santos, Penouard and Temperville, it has been shown that the results are in better agreement than those obtained from the long wave equation based on the potential flow theory. In this paper, in the light of the Boltzmann superpositionprinciple in linear viscoelastic- ity, a math.matical model ofperturbed motion on viscoelastic thin place is established. Thecorre- sponding variational principle is obtained in a convolutionbilinear form. For appl.cation the problems of free vibration, forcedvibration and stability of a viscoelastic simply-supportedrectangular thin plate are considered. The results show thatnumerical solutions agree well with analytical solutions.
