Urinary incontinence (UI) is a common problem *** has a major impact on physical and social activities and interpersonal *** is common in women,but is under-reported and *** affects the quality of life of female patients *** and moxibustion have been proposed as potentially effective interventions for female ***,for the benefit of acupuncture practitioners around the world,the World Federation of acupuncture-moxibustion Societies initiated a project to develop a clinical practice guideline (CPG) for the use of acupuncture and moxibustion to treat female *** CPG was developed according to the Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development,and Evaluation (GRADE) methodology,referring to the principles of the World Health Organization Handbook for Guideline *** the development of the CPG,the guideline development group (GDG) played an important *** clinical questions,recommendations and therapeutic protocols were all formulated by GDG using the modified Delphi *** CPG contains ten recommendations about the use of acupuncture and moxibustion interventions for ten clinical questions,which include nine conditional recommendations for the intervention and one conditional recommendation for either the intervention or the *** CPG also provides one protocol for conventional filiform needle therapy,two therapy protocols for deep needling stimulation on lumbosacral acupoints,and four moxibustion therapy protocols,based on the protocols presented in randomized controlled trials reviewed by the GDG.

Tuina alleviates neuropathic pain through regulate the activation of microglia and the secretion of inflammatory cytokine in spinal cord

OBJECTIVE: To observe the analgesic effects of Tuina on neuropathic pain(NPP) and the underlying mechanisms. METHODS: Forty-eight Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were assigned by random into three treatment groups: sham, chronic constriction injury(CCI), and Tuina. Each group contained sixteen rats. CCI model was generated by ligating the right sciatic nerve. Behavioral changes of CCI were assessed by the paw withdrawal threshold(PWT) and paw withdrawal latency(PWL). In addition, biochemical techniques such as immunofluorescence staining, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) and Western blotting were used to profile levels of microglia activation and inflammatory factors in the spinal dorsal horn(SDH) of rats. Tuina(clockwise pressing and rubbing) was performed at Chengshan(BL57) to observe the analgesic effects on CCI rats and the underlying mechanisms. RESULTS: Rats with CCI experienced significant reduction in the PWT and PWL of the right hind paw relative to CCI group at day 3. Tuina treatment rescued this situation significantly on days 10 and 14. Besides, Iba-1, microglia M1 receptor CD68, tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), and interleukin-1β(IL-1β) were higher in the right SDH for CCI group compared to the sham group on day 14. As expected, Tuina partially downregulated the CCI-induced overexpressed Iba-1, CD68, TNF-α, and IL-1β in the SDH of CCI model. CONCLUSION: Tuina induces a time-dependent cumulative analgesic effect in CCI rats by inhibiting the activation of microglia and the secretion of IL-1β and TNF-α in SDH.

Cancer-induced bone pain(CIBP)is a type of ongoing or breakthrough pain caused by a primary bone tumor or bone *** constitutes a specific pain state with distinct characteristics;however,it shares similarities with inflammatory and neuropathic *** present,although various therapies have been developed for this condition,complete relief from CIBP in patients with cancer is yet to be ***,it is urgent to study the mechanism underlying CIBP to develop efficient analgesic ***,we focused on the peripheral mechanism associated with the initiation of CIBP,which involves tissue injury in the bone and changes in the tumor microenvironment(TME)and dorsal root *** nerve–cancer and cancer–immunocyte cross-talk in the TME creates circumstances that promote tumor growth and metastasis,ultimately leading to *** peripheral mechanism of CIBP and current treatments as well as potential therapeutic targets are discussed in this review.

The hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal(HPA) axis is a critical component of the neuroendocrine system,playing a central role in regulating the body's stress response and modulating various physiological processes. Dysregulation of HPA axis function disrupts the neuroendocrine equilibrium, resulting in impaired physiological functions. acupuncture is recognized as a non-pharmacological type of therapy which has been confirmed to play an important role in modulating the HPA axis and thus favorably targets diseases with abnormal activation of the HPA axis. With numerous studies reporting the promising efficacy of acupuncture for neuroendocrine disorders, a comprehensive review in terms of the underlying molecular mechanism for acupuncture, especially in regulating the HPA axis, is currently in need. This review fills the need and summarizes recent breakthroughs, from the basic principles and the pathological changes of HPA axis dysfunction, to the molecular mechanisms by which acupuncture regulates the HPA axis. These mechanisms include the modulation of multiple neurotransmitters and their receptors, neuropeptides and their receptors, and microRNAs in the paraventricular nucleus,hippocampus, amygdala and pituitary gland, which alleviate the hyperfunctioning of the HPA *** review comprehensively summarizes the mechanism of acupuncture in regulating HPA axis dysfunction for the first time, providing new targets and prospects for further exploration of acupuncture.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Huashi Baidu Granules(HSBD)in treating patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron ***:A single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted during COVID-19 Omicron epidemic in the Mobile Cabin Hospital of shanghai New International Expo Center from April 1st to May 23rd,*** COVID-19 patients with asymptomatic or mild infection were assigned to the treatment group(HSBD users)and the control group(non-HSBD users).After propensity score matching in a 1:1 ratio,496 HSBD users of treatment group were matched by propensity score to 496 non-HSBD *** in the treatment group were administrated HSBD(5 g/bag)orally for 1 bag twice a day for 7 consecutive *** in the control group received standard care and routine *** primary outcomes were the negative conversion time of nucleic acid and negative conversion rate at day *** outcomes included the hospitalized days,the time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion,and new-onset symptoms in asymptomatic *** events(AEs)that occurred during the study were *** subgroup analysis was conducted in vaccinated(378 HSBD users and 390 non-HSBD users)and unvaccinated patients(118 HSBD users and 106 non-HSBD users).Results:The median negative conversion time of nucleic acid in the treatment group was significantly shortened than the control group[3 days(IQR:2-5 days)vs.5 days(IQR:4-6 days);P<0.01].The negative conversion rate of nucleic acid in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group at day 7(91.73%vs.86.90%,P=0.014).Compared with the control group,the hospitalized days in the treatment group were significantly reduced[10 days(IQR:8-11 days)vs.11 days(IQR:10.25-12 days);P<0.01].The time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion had significant differences between the treatment and control groups[3 days(IQR:2-4 days)vs.5 days(IQR:

Regulatory role of electroacupuncture on satellite glial cell activity in the colon and dorsal root ganglion of rats with irritable bowel syndrome

Objective: To investigate the role of satellite glial cells in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and the effect of electroacupuncture (EA) at the Tianshu (ST25) and Shangjuxu (ST37) combination. Methods: A model for visceral hypersensitivity in IBS was induced through colorectal distension (CRD) stimulation. Clean-grade male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into four groups: a normal group (NG)， a model group (MG)， an electroacupuncture group (EA)， and a glial cell inhibitor group (FCA). Bilateral EA (2/100 Hz， 1 mA， 30 min) was administered at the Tianshu (ST25) and Shangjuxu (ST37) in week 6. Abdominal withdrawal reflex (AWR) scores were used to assess the behavioral response associated with visceral hyperalgesia， while hematoxylin-eosin staining was employed to evaluate pathological changes in the colon. The protein and mRNA levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in the colon and colon-related dorsal root ganglion (DRG) were analyzed using immunofluorescence， immunohistochemistry， Western blotting， real-time polymerase chain reaction. The impact of EA on electrophysiological properties of colon-related DRG neurons was observed through whole-cell patch clamp analysis. Results: EA significantly reduced the visceral pain behavior scores in rats with IBS in response to graded (20， 40， 60， 80 mm Hg) CRD stimulation. Additionally， EA downregulated the protein and mRNA expression levels of GFAP in the colon and colon-related DRG of rats with IBS. EA also regulated the resting membrane potential， rheobase and action potential of colon-related DRG neurons in rats with IBS. Conclusions: EA can regulate the excitatory properties of colon-related DRG neurons by downregulating the protein and mRNA expression of GFAP in the colon and colon-related DRG， indicating a potential neurobiological mechanism by which EA relieves visceral hypersensitivity in rats with IBS.

Quantum discord and its dynamics for multipartite systems

Quantum discord, one of the famous quantum correlations, has been recently generalized to multipartite systems by Radhakrishnan et al. Here we give analytical solutions of the quantum discord for a family of N-qubit quantum states. For the bipartite system, we derive a zero quantum discord which will remain unchanged under the phase damping channel. For multiparitite systems, it is found that the quantum discord can be classified into three categories and the quantum discord for odd-partite systems can exhibit freezing under the phase damping channel, while the freezing does not exist in the even-partite systems.

Numerical investigation on compressible flow around a cylinder in proximity to the heated wall

In this study,direct numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the compressible flow around a circular cylinder near a heated wall at a Reynolds number(Re)of 500 and a Mach number(Ma)of *** heating ratio T^(*)ranging from 1.0 to 1.6 represents the different situations of a heated wall,whereas the gap ratio ranges from 0.3 to *** study analyzed the impact of heating effect and wall proximity on flow characteristics and aerodynamic *** results indicated that the stability of the flow was enhanced as the gap ratio decreased or the heating ratio *** the calculation of enstrophy,it was found that the strength of shedding vortices weakens with a decrease in gap ratio or an increase in heating ***,the mean drag coefficient decreases as the heating ratio increases or the gap ratio *** contrast,the mean lift coefficient initially decreases and then increases as the gap ratio ***,the drag reduction mechanism was analyzed by examining the pressure distribution on the surface of the cylinder.
