Dynamic synthetic analysis of circulation field of tropical cyclones affecting shanghai

Eleven tropical cyclones(TCs)affected shanghai and crossed the same latitude as shanghai from 2007 to *** to similar tracks from best-track data,TCs that cause significant precipitation in shanghai can be divided into three types:landfall TCs,nearshore northward TCs,and western *** on ERA5 reanalysis data,the dynamic synthesis method was used to synthesize TC circulation situations to compare thermal,dynamic,water vapor,and stability conditions within TC circulations during the period when they affected *** conclusions are as follows.1)When the three TC types are at the same latitude as shanghai,they are all in the divergent field in the upper *** the landfall type,the subtropical high at 500 hPa is stronger and farther north than usual,and there is a high-pressure dam on the north side of the TCs.2)The warm advection of the three TC types at 925 hPa is located in the northern quadrant of the *** dynamic and water vapor conditions are good in the north-western quadrant of landfall and western TCs,and more favorable in the eastern quadrant of nearshore northward TCs.3)The favorable effects of all three types on precipitation in shanghai come from the boundary *** vapor,upward motion,and instability conditions of landfall TCs are superior to the other two TC *** best water vapor,dynamic,and convective instability conditions are at the northern boundary in shanghai during landfall TCs,and the main sources of water vapor in shanghai come from the eastern and northern *** nearshore northward TCs,the main contribution to precipitation is from the eastern boundary,while better dynamic and water vapor conditions come from the western and northern boundaries during western *** above findings provide scientific and technical support for operational forecasting precipitation from TCs affecting mega-cities.

A seven-crystal spectrometer for high-energy resolution X-ray spectroscopy at shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility

A Johann-type X-ray spectrometer was successfully developed at the hard X-ray branch(in-vacuum undulator with a 24-mm periodic length)of the energy material beamline(E-line)at the shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF).This spectrometer was utilized to implement X-ray emission spectroscopy(XES),high-energy resolution fluorescence-detected X-ray absorption spectroscopy(HERFD-XAS),and resonant inelastic X-ray *** spherically bent crystals were positioned on the respective vertical 500-mm-diameter Rowland circles,adopting an area detector to increase the solid angle to 1.75%of 4πsr,facilitating the study of low-concentrate systems under complex reaction *** under the atmosphere pressure,the spectrometer covers the energy region from 3.5 to 18 keV,with the Bragg angle ranging from 73°to 86°during vertical *** offers a promised energy resolution of sub-eV(XES)and super-eV(HERFD-XAS).Generally,these comprehensive core-level spectroscopy methods based on hard X-rays at the E-line with an extremely high photon flux can meet the crucial requirements of a green energy ***,they provide substantial support for scientific advances in fundamental research.

X-ray photon correlation spectroscopy(XPCS)has emerged as a powerful tool for probing the nanoscale dynamics of soft condensed matter and strongly correlated materials owing to its high spatial resolution and penetration *** technique requires high brilliance and beam coherence,which are not directly available at modern synchrotron beamlines in *** facilitate future XPCS experiments,we modified the optical setup of the newly commissioned BL10U1 USAXS beamline at the shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF).Subsequently,we performed XPCS measurements on silica suspensions in glycerol,which were opaque owing to their high *** were collected using a high frame rate area detector.A comprehensive analysis was performed,yielding correlation functions and several key dynamic *** the results were consistent with the theory of Brownian motion and demonstrated the feasibility of XPCS at ***,by carefully optimizing the setup and analyzing the algorithms,we achieved a time resolution of 2 ms,which enabled the characterization of millisecond dynamics in opaque systems.

Assessment of radiotherapy and diagnosis resources allocation in shanghai,China

Objective:To evaluate the equity of medical resources in radiotherapy and diagnosis in shanghai,China,based on population,geography,and economic ***:Data on medical resources including institutions,equipment,and staff in radiotherapy/diagnosis were collected from all 16 districts of shanghai,China in *** data were collected for institutions and devices in *** Gini coefficient(G)and Lorenz curves were used to assess fairness based on population and geography,while the Theil index(T)was employed to evaluate health equity based on economic *** resource agglomeration degree(HRAD)and population agglomeration degree(PAD)were utilized to analyze the equity and accessibility of medical resources considering both population and ***:In 2022,shanghai had a total of 992 institutions,4,925 devices,and 10,282 personnel in radiotherapy and ***,there were 381 institutions conducting CT examinations and 776 CT machines in *** Gini coefficients for institutions,devices,and personnel in radiotherapy and diagnosis based on population ranged from 0.2 to 0.4,while for CT,the Gini coefficients for institutions and devices ranged from 0.2 to *** considering geography,all Gini coefficients were greater than *** results of the Theil index indicated that inequities in distribution may be influenced by economic *** HRAD and PAD revealed disparities in the accessibility of institutions,devices,and personnel in radiotherapy/diagnosis and CT in ***:Inequities in the distribution of institutions,equipment,and personnel for radiotherapy/diagnosis and CT were observed in shanghai in 2022,both geographically and *** is a critical need to enhance the allocation of resources for radiological equipment and personnel and to establish a scientifically robust urban resource planning framework.

Objective Chlorination is often used to disinfect recreational water in large amusement parks;however,the health hazards of chlorination disinfection by-products(DBPs)to occupational populations are *** study aimed to assess the exposure status of chlorinated DBPs in recreational water and the health risks to employees of large amusement *** Exposure parameters of employees of three large amusement parks in shanghai were investigated using a *** typical chlorinated DBPs in recreational water and spray samples were quantified by gas chromatography,and the health risks to amusement park employees exposed to chlorinated DBPs were evaluated according to the WHO's risk assessment *** Trichloroacetic acid,dibromochloromethane,bromodichloromethane,and dichloroacetic acid were detected predominantly in recreational *** carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks of the five DBPs did not exceed the risk *** addition,the carcinogenic and non-carcinogenic risks of mixed exposure to DBPs were within the acceptable risk *** Typical DBPs were widely detected in recreational water collected from three large amusement parks in shanghai;however,the health risks of DBPs and their mixtures were within acceptable limits.
