CO_2 sensing properties and mechanism of PrFeO_3 and NdFeO_3 thick film sensor

The CO_2 sensing of PrFeO_3 and NdFeO_3 sensors were investigated. Experimental results show that the resistances for PrFeO_3 and NdFeO_3 in CO_2 gas are larger than those in air and the responses for PrFeO_3and NdFeO_3 sensors increase with an increase in room-temperature relative humidity. When exposed to1000 ppm CO_2, the response of PrFeO_3 thick film based on nano-powders annealed at 700℃can reach8.44 at 160℃for the background of wet air with 58%of room-temperature relative humidity (RH),which is much larger than the corresponding value (3.03) in wet air with 25%RH. The sensing response S of NdFeO_3 thick-film sensor based on nano-powders annealed at 600℃to 3000 ppm CO_2 at the operating temperature 200℃can reach 2.36 for the background of wet air with 72%RH, which is larger than the corresponding value (1.83) in the air with 25%RH. Compared with other CO_2 sensing materials, the PrFeO_3 sensor has larger response at lower operating temperature for CO_2 gas and may be used as a new CO_2 sensing material.

Fusarium wilt is one of the most serious diseases of banana plants caused by soil-borne pathogen Fusarium oxysporum ***. cubense(FOC). In this study a pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of different bio-organic fertilizers(BIOs) on Fusarium wilt of banana, including the investigations of disease incidence, chitinase and β-1,3-glucanase activities of banana plants, and FOC populations as well as soil rhizosphere microbial community. Five fertilization treatments were considered, including chemical fertilizer containing the same N, P and K concentrations as the BIO(control), and matured compost mixed with antagonists Paenibacillus polymyxa SQR-21 and Trichoderma harzianum T37(BIO1), Bacillus amyloliquefaciens N6(BIO2), Bacillus subtilis N11(BIO3), and the combination of N6 and N11(BIO4). The results indicated that the application of BIOs significantly decreased the incidence rate of Fusarium wilt by up to 80% compared with the control. BIOs also significantly promoted plant growth, and increased chitinase andβ-1,3-glucanase activities by 55%–65% and 17.3%–120.1%, respectively, in the banana roots. The population of FOC in the rhizosphere soil was decreased significantly to about 104 colony forming units g-1with treatment of BIOs. Serial dilution plating and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis analysis revealed that the application of BIOs increased the densities of bacteria and actinomycetes but decreased the number of fungi in the rhizosphere soil. In general, the application of BIOs revealed a great potential for the control of Fusarium wilt disease of banana plants.

Microcapsules containing oil drag-reducing polymer particles were prepared by melting-scattering and condensing of polyethylene wax,in-situ polymerization of urea and formaldehyde,and interfacial polymerization of styrene *** related processes were studied by a molecular dynamics simulation method,and molecular design of microcapsule isolation agent was carried out on the basis of the *** technologies for preparing microencapsulated oil drag-reducing polymer particles were compared and the circulation drag reducing efficiency of the microencapsulated polymer particles was evaluated based on the characterization results and their dissolution *** design of a microcapsule isolation agent suggests that a-olefin polymer particles can be stably dispersed in water by using long-chain alkyl sodium salt surfactant which can prevent the agglomeration ofα-olefin polymer *** results of simulation of the adsorption process shows that the amount of alkyl sodium salt surfactant can directly affect the stability of microencapsulatedα-olefin polymer particles, and there must be a minimum critical amount of *** characterization of the morphology by Scanning Electron Microscopy（SEM） and comparison of the static pressure stability,especially the conditions of reaction and technological control of microcapsules with different shell materials,microencapsulation of a-olefin polymer particles with poly-（urea-formaldehyde） as shell material was selected as the optimum scheme,because it can react under mild conditions and its technological process can be controlled in a large *** relationship of drag reducing rate and dissolving time of microcapsules showed that the formation of microcapsules did not affect the maximum drag reducing rate,and the drag reducing rate of each sample can reach about 35%along with the dissolving time,*** did not affect the drag reducing property ofα-olefin polymer.

Load on Bicycle Frame During Cycling with Different Speeds and Gestures

Experiment and dynamic simulation were combined to obtain the loads on bicycle frame. A dynamic model of body-bicycle system was built in ADAMS. Then the body gestures under different riding conditions were captured by a motion analysis system. Dynamic simulation was carried out after the data of body motions were input into the simulation system in ADAMS and a series of loads that the body applied on head tube, seat pillar and bottom bracket were obtained. The results show that the loads on flame and their distribution are apparently different under various riding conditions. Finally, finite element analysis was done in ANSYS, which showed that the stress and its distribution on frame were apparently different when the flame was loaded according to the bicycle testing standard and simulation respectively. An efficient way to obtain load on bicycle flame accurately was proposed, which is sig- nificant for the safety of cycling and will also be the basis for the bicycle design of digitalization, lightening and cus- tomization.

Hyperbranched polyamidoamines （HPAs） were directly employed as macroinitiators to initiate the Sn（Oct）2 catalyzed ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone （CL）, resulting in multiarm star copolymers with poly（6- caprolactone）（PCL） as shells and HPA as core （HPA-b-PCL）. From 1H-NMR characterization it was deduced that both the primary amines and the secondary amide groups of HPAs could initiate the CL polymerization, and the initiation efficiency increased when more CL monomers were fed. The average arm-numbers of the obtained stars were in the range of 115-353. Differential scanning calorimetry measurements demonstrated that the melting and crystallization temperatures, fusion and crystallization enthalpy and the degree of crystallinity of the star polymers increased as the PCL arm length increased. HPA- b-PCL stars could be used as nanocarriers to efficiently accommodate anionic dyes at acidic condition, while load cationic dyes at basic condition. Compared with the dye-loading behavior of multiarrn star PCL with the neutral hyperbranched polyglycerol as core, it was deduced that HPA-b-PCL nanocarriers accommodated anionic dyes using the HPA core, while loaded cationic dyes using both the HPA core and the PCL shell. Dynamic light scattering analyses also supported such deduction. Furthermore, HPA-b-PCL nanocarriers could selectively load the anionic Eosin Y or the cationic methylene blue from their mixture at pH = 6 or 9, respectively, realizing their separation.

Multiarm star block copolymers hyperbranched polyethylenimine-b-poly（2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate）（HPEI-b- PHEMA） with average 28 PHEMA arms have been prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization （ATRP） of HEMA in a mixed solvent of methanol and water using a core-first strategy. The hyperbranched macroinitiator employed was prepared on the basis of well-defined hyperbranched polyethylenimine with Mw/Mn of 1.04 by amidation with 2-bromo-isobutyryl bromide. The polymerization condition was optimized to prepare star copolymers with narrow dispersity, and the variables included the volume ratio of methanol to water, the molar ratio of initiating site to CuC1 and the molar ratio of [CuCl]：[CuBr2]. Under the optimized polymerization condition, the lowest Mw/Mn value of the obtained star copolymers was around 1.3. Kinetic analysis showed that an induction period existed in the polymerization of HEMA. After this induction period, a linear dependence of ln（[M]0/[M]t） on time was observed. The obtained HPEI-b-PHEMA could adsorb hydrophilic molecules. The comparison with the star copolymer with hydrophobic core and hydrophilic PHEMA shell verified that both the hydrophilic core and shell could host the hydrophilic guests, but the amidated HPEI core was more effective than the PHEMA shell.

Study on Seawater Corrosion Resisting Properties ofAl-Mg-RE Alloy Gauze

The corrosion resistance of gauzes made of various materials, including Al-Mg-RE alloy with various RE contents, Al-Mg alloy, low-carbon steel and plastic, was evaluated and compared. The experimental methods used include immersion method, salt spray test, weight loss test, electrode potential analysis and metallographic method, etc. The corrosion resistance of Al-Mg-RE alloy gauzes in mediums such as running water, natural seawater, NaCl solution with various concentrations, 0.05 mol.L-1 Na2SO4 solution, and 10% H2SO4 solution etc., is superior to those of Al-Mg alloy gauzes made in either China or U.S.A., and much superior to those of gauzes made of low-carbon steel and plastic. The electrode potentials of the Al-Mg-RE alloy in both the natural seawater and 0.05 mol.L-1 Na2SO4 solution increase linearly with increasing RE content in the alloy. The microstructure in the Al-Mg-RE alloy has been refined and the shape of compounds has been obviously changed comparing with those in Al-Mg alloy without RE elements. AU these microstructural changes are favorable to the corrosion resistance of the alloy. The Al-Mg-RE alloy gauze may be used as a substitute for those made df Al-Mg alloy, low-carbon steel and plastic in moisture marine or industrial environment for better serviceability.

The positive-and negative-ion electrospray ionization(ESI)coupled with Fourier transform-ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS)was employed to identify the chemical composition of heteroatomic compounds in four distillates of Fushun shale oil,and their catalytic cracking performance was *** are nine classes of basic nitrogen compounds(BNCs)and eleven classes of non-basic heteroatomic compounds(NBHCs)in the different *** dominant BNCs are mainly basic N1 class *** dominant NBHCs are mainly acidic O2 and O1 class species in the300-350℃,350-400℃,and 400-450℃distillates,while the neutral N1,N1 O1 and N2 compounds become relatively abundant in the>450℃*** basic N1 compounds and acidic O1 and O2 compounds are separated into different distillates by the degree of alkylation(different carbon number)but not by aromaticity(different double-bond equivalent values).The basic N1 O1 and N2 class species and neutral N1 and N2 class species are separated into different distillates by the degrees of both alkylation and *** the catalytic cracking of Fushun shale oil,the classes of BNCs in the liquid products remain unchanged,while the classes and relative abundances of NBHCs vary significantly.
