The rapid development of two-dimensional(2D)transition-metal dichalcogenides has been possible owing to their special structures and remarkable *** particular,palladium diselenide(PdSe_(2))with a novel pentagonal structure and unique physical characteristics have recently attracted extensive research ***,tremendous research progress has been achieved regarding the physics,chemistry,and electronics of PdSe_(2).Accordingly,in this review,we recapitulate and summarize the most recent research on PdSe_(2),including its structure,properties,synthesis,and ***,a mechanical exfoliation method to obtain PdSe_(2) nanosheets is introduced,and large-area synthesis strate-gies are explained with respect to chemical vapor deposition and metal ***,the electronic and optoelectronic properties of PdSe_(2) and related hetero-structures,such as field-effect transistors,photodetectors,sensors,and thermoelec-tric devices,are ***,the integration of systems into infrared image sensors on the basis of PdSe_(2) van der Waals heterostructures is ***,future opportunities are highlighted to serve as a general guide for physicists,chemists,materials scientists,and ***,this com-prehensive review may shed light on the research conducted by the 2D material community.

Observation of Low-Level Jets in the Eastern Tropical Indian Ocean Based on Shipborne Coherent Doppler Lidar

In contrast to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, the Indian Ocean has lacked in-situ observations of wind profiles over open sea areas for decades. In 2021, a shipborne coherent Doppler lidar（CDL） was used to observe in-situ wind profiles in the eastern tropical Indian Ocean. This equipment successfully captured low-level jets（LLJs） in the region, and their characteristics were thoroughly analyzed. Results reveal that the observed wind speed of LLJs in the eastern Indian Ocean ranges from 6-1m s-1to 10 m s during the boreal winter and spring seasons, showing a height range of 0.6 to 1 km and two peak times at 0800 and 2000 UTC. This wind shear is weaker than that in land or offshore areas, ranging from 01 s-1to 0.006 s-1. Moreover, the accuracy of the CDL data is compared to that of ERA5 data in the study area. The results indicate that the zonal wind from ERA5 data significantly deviated from the CDL measurement data, and the overall ERA5 data are substantially weaker than the in-situ observations. Notably, ERA5 underestimates northwestward LLJs.

A scalable and efficient IPv4 address sharing approach in IPv6 transition scenarios

IPv6 has been an inevitable trend with the depletion of the global IPv4 address space. However, new IPv6 users still need public IPv4 addresses to access global IPv4 users/resources, making it important for providers to share scarce global IPv4 addresses effectively. There are two categories of solutions to the problem, carrier-grade NAT （CGN） and ＇A＋P＇（each customer shaving the same IPv4 address is assigned an excluded port range）. However, both of them have limitations. Specifically, CGN solutions are not scalable and can bring much complexity in managing customers in large-scale deployments, while A＋P solutions are not flexible enough to meet dynamic port requirements. In this paper, we propose a hybrid mechanism to improve current solutions and have deployed it in the Tsinghua University Campus Network. The real traffic data shows that our mechanism can utilize limited IPv4 addresses efficiently without degrading the performance of applications on end hosts. Based on the enhanced mechanism, we propose a method to help service providers make address plans based on their own traffic patterns and actual requirements.

Coordination engineering of cobalt phthalocyanine by functionalized carbon nanotube for efficient and highly stable carbon dioxide reduction at high current density

Coordination engineering can enhance the activity and stability of the catalyst in heterogeneous ***,the axial coordination engineering between different groups on the carbon carrier and molecular catalysts in the electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)has been studied *** coordination engineering strategy,a series of amino(NH_(2)),hydroxyl(OH),and carboxyl(COOH)groups functionalized carbon nanotubes(CNT)immobilized cobalt phthalocyanine(CoPc)catalysts are *** with no groups,OH groups and COOH groups,NH_(2)groups can effectively change the coordination environment of the central metal Co,thereby significantly increasing the turnover frequency(TOF)(31.4 s^(-1)at-0.6 V ***,CoPc/NH_(2)-CNT>CoPc/OH-CNT>CoPc/COOH-CN>CoPc/CNT).In the flow cell,the CoPc/NH_(2)-CNT catalyst has high carbon monoxide(CO)selectivity at high current density(~100%at-225 mA·cm^(-2),~96%at-351 mA·cm^(-2)).Importantly,the CoPc/NH_(2)-CNT catalyst can operate stably for 100 h at 225 mA·cm^(-2).Theoretical calculations reveal that CoPc/NH_(2)-CNT catalyst is beneficial to the formation of^(*)COOH and desorption of^(*)CO,thus promoting CO_(2)*** work provides an excellent platform for understanding the effect of coordination engineering on electrocatalytic performance and promotes a way to explore efficient and stable catalysts in other applications.

The Yangtze River has been subject to heavy flooding throughout history, and in recent times severe floods such as those in 1998 have resulted in heavy loss of life and livelihoods. Dams along the river help to manage flood waters, and are important sources of electricity for the region. Being able to forecast high-impact events at long lead times therefore has enormous potential benefit. Recent improvements in seasonal forecasting mean that dynamical climate models can start to be used directly for operational services. The teleconnection from E1 Nifio to Yangtze River basin rainfall meant that the strong E1 Nifio in winter 2015/16 provided a valuable opportunity to test the application of a dynamical forecast system. This paper therefore presents a case study of a real-time seasonal forecast for the Yangtze River basin, building on previous work demonstrating the retrospective skill of such a forecast. A simple forecasting methodology is presented, in which the forecast probabilities are derived from the historical relationship between hindcast and observations. Its performance for 2016 is discussed. The heavy rainfall in the May-June-July period was correctly forecast well in advance. August saw anomalously low rainfall, and the forecasts for the June-July-August period correctly showed closer to average levels. The forecasts contributed to the confidence of decision-makers across the Yangtze River basin. Trials of climate services such as this help to promote appropriate use of seasonal forecasts, and highlight areas for future improvements.

Late transition metals have long served as workhorses for vinyl polymerization of norbornene ***,for such catalytic systems,insoluble polynorbornene(PNB)products are often produced which hampers their further detailed characterizations,such as molecular weights,polydispersities,stereoregularities,*** this work,we surprisingly found that for a traditional Ni(acac)_(2)/MAO system that was previously reported to give insoluble PNBs,incorporation of highly bulk salicylaldiminate ligands could significantly improve the solubility of the PNBs in common organic solvents,which allowed for subsequent thorough detailed analysis of the polymer ***,it was also observed that high-temperature polymerization was beneficial for further improving the PNB’s solubilities due to the decreased molecular weights and *** ligand skeletons and ligand equivalents were also investigated to give a comprehensive view of their influences on the polymers’solubilities,and based on these results,a plausible mechanism that caused such a big difference was tentatively proposed.

N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A),a ubiquitous internal modification of eukaryotic mRNAs,plays a vital role in almost every aspect of mRNA ***,there is little evidence documenting the role of m^(6)A in regulating alternative polyadenylation(APA)in *** is controlled by a large protein-RNA complex with many components,including CLEAVAGE AND POLYADENYLATION SPECIFICITY FACTOR30(CPSF30).In Arabidopsis,CPSF30 has two isoforms and the longer isoform(CPSF30-L)contains a YT512-B Homology(YTH)domain,which is unique to *** this study,we showed that CPSF30-L YTH domain binds to m^(6)A in v *** the cpsf30-2 mutant,the transcripts of many genes including several important nitrate signaling-related genes had shifts in polyadenylation sites that were correlated with m^(6)A peaks,indicating that these gene transcripts carrying m^(6)A tend to be regulated by ***-type CPSF30-L could rescue the defects in APA and nitrate metabolism in cpsf30-2,but m^(6)A-binding-defective mutants of CPSF30-L could *** together,our results demonstrated that m^(6)A modification regulates APA in Arabidops is and revealed that the m^(6)A reader CPSF30-L affects nitrate signaling by controlling APA,shedding new light on the roles of the m^(6)A modification during RNA 3-end processing in nitrate metabolism.

Ag doped urchin-like α-MnO2 toward efficient and bifunctional electrocatalysts for Li-02 batteries

Rechargeable Li-O2 batteries (LOBs) have been receiving intensive attention because of their ultra-high theoretical energy densityclose to the gasoline. Herein, Ag modified urchin-like α-MnO2 (Ag-MnO2) material with hierarchical porous structure is obtained bya facile one-step hydrothermal method. Ag-MnO2 possesses thick nanowires and presents hierarchical porous structure of mesoporesand macropores. The unique structure can expose more active sites, and provide continuous pathways for O2 and discharge productsas well. The doping of Ag leads to the change of electronic distribution in α-MnO2 (i.e., more oxygen vacancies), which playimportant roles in improving their intrinsic catalytic activity and conductivity. As a result, LOBs with Ag-MnO2 catalysts exhibit loweroverpotential, higher discharge specific capacity and much better cycle stability compared to pure a-MnO2. LOBs with Ag-MnO2catalysts exhibit a superior discharge specific capacity of 13,131 mA·h·g^-1 at a current density of 200 mA·h·g^-1, a good cycle stabilityof 500 cycles at the capacity of 500 mA·h·g^-1. When current density is increased to 400 mA·h·g^-1, LOBs still retain a long lifespan of170 cycles at a limited capacity of 1,000 mA·h·g^-1.
