Theoretical consideration was proposed for the influences of the oscillator phase on the response nature of an electrode-separated piezoelectric sensor (ESPS) to liquid properties and verified experimentally. For the oscillators with different phases, the oscillation frequency of the ESPS may increase, maintain nearly constant or decrease with increasing conductivity in low conductivity solutions. The sensitivity of response to density and viscosity increases slightly with increasing oscillator phase. The response to permittivity depends hardly on the oscillator phase. In addition, the dependence of the oscillation frequency of the ESPS on the supply voltage of the oscillator was explained. The ESPS was used to determine atropine sulfate with a detection limit of 1.6x10(-7) mol/L.

AIM: To generate recombinant adenoviral vector con-taining calreticulin (CRT)-hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) fusion gene for developing a safe, effective and HBsAg-specific therapeutic ***: CRT and HBsAg gene were fused using polymerase chain reaction (PCR), endonuclease diges-tion and ligation methods. The fusion gene was cloned into pENTR/D-TOPO transfer vector after the base pairs of DNA (CACC) sequence was added to the 5′ end. Adenoviral expression vector containing CRT-HBsAg fusion gene was constructed by homologous recombinan-tion. The human embryo kidney (HEK) 293A cells were transfected with linearized DNA plasmid of the recombi-nant adenoviral vector to package and amplify recombi-nant adenovirus. The recombinant adenovirus titer was characterized using the end-dilution assay. The expres-sion of the CRT/HBsAg fusion protein in Ad-CRT/HBsAg infected 293A cells was detected by Western ***: The CRT-HBsAg fusion gene was char-acterized by PCR and sequencing and its length and sequence were confirmed to be accurate. The CRT-HB-sAg fusion gene recombinant pENTR/D-TOPO transfer vector was constructed. The recombinant adenoviral vector, Ad-CRT/HBsAg, was generated successfully. The titer of Ad-CRT/HBsAg was characterized as 3.9 × 1011 pfu/mL. The CRT-HBsAg fusion protein was ex-pressed by HEK 293A cells correctly. CONCLUSION: CRT/HBsAg fusion gene recombinant replication-defective adenovirus expression vector is constructed successfully and this study has provided an experimental basis for further studies of Hepatitis B vi-rus gene therapy.

Effects of Functional Fish Organizations on the Fractal Characteristics of the Microstructure of Feces

Fish feces affect the structure and function of aquatic ecosystems, and they are affected by the functional fish organizations. In this research, Ctenopharyngodon idellus, Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, and Cyprinus carpio were selected to study the effects of different functional fish organizations on the fractal characteristics of fecal micro-structure by scanning electron microscopes (SEM), particles (pores) and cracks analysis system (PCAS). The results showed that fish feces pores mainly consisted of medium pores (cumulative pore number, 97%) classified by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). The grain area fractal dimension D1 and the pore-number and pore-size fractal dimension D2 were 1.94-1.96 and 2.07-2.19, respectively. The distribution of fish feces pores was very close to the Sierpinski carpet structure, which is the basic fractal construction methods widely used to describe the fractal of pore surface distribution. D1 (1.96) and D2 (2.19) of Hypophthalmichthys molitrix were the maximum values of the three functional organizations. Combining with the habit of fish, it is inferred that the feces of H. molitrix, the finer the feed and the faster the swimming of fish, the higher the content of feces clay, the larger the fractal dimension of feces, the easier it is to decompose feces, and the high the content of nutrients and organic matter to release into the water. It is demined that fish functional organizations affected the fractal characteristics and the stability of fish feces in water. This study is helpful for further research on water quality prediction and the impact of functional fish organizations on the structure and function of the ecosystem.

AIM:To compare two types of classification of intestinal metaplasia (IM) of the stomach and to explore their relationship to gastric ***:Forty-seven cases of gastric IM were classified into type or typeaccordingto mucin histochemical staining and compared with a novel classification in which the specimens were classif ied into simple IM (SIM) or atypical IM according to polymorphism in terms of atypical changes of the metaplastic epithelium. Forty-seven IM and thirty-seven gastric carcinoma samples were stained for p53, c-erbB-2 and Ki67 proteins by Envision immunohistochemical ***: There were no significant differences in the expression of p53 and c-erbB-2 among type type, typeIM and gastric carcinomas. The positive expression rate of Ki67 was significantly higher in gastric carcinomas than in type IM while no signif icant Ki67 expression differences were observed among type,typeIM and gastric carcinomas. The expression ofp53, c-erbB-2 and Ki67 proteins in 20 SIM, 27 Atypical IM and 37 gastric carcinomas showed significant differences between SIM and gastric carcinomas while no significant differences were observed between Atypical IM and gastric ***: Atypical IM may better reveal the pre-cancerous nature of IM and could be a helpful indicator in the clinical follow up of patients.

The stabilization energies of substituted lithium carbene cations were calculated by using ab initio molecular orbital theory, and the relationship between the stabilization energies and molecular orbitals was discussed. The substituents with pi donor engender strong stabilization to CH2Li+. The calculations show the Y-C* bond lengths of cations become shorter and H-Y bond lengths longer than those of corresponding neutral molecules.

Densification laws and properties of sintered powder compacts in rotary forging process

In order to obtain high property powder metallurgy products, at present rotary forging process has often been used to further densify the sintered powder compact, but the densification law and property analysis have very rarely been studied, therefore the densification laws of sintered powder compacts being composed of Fe 0.8%C 4.0%Cu 0.2% zinc stearate and formed as cylindrical shape by double action pressing, and then further densified as well in a rotary forging process was studied by orthogonal experiment and regression analysis. The experimental results show that the H / D ratio and the rotary forging force are major factors affecting the density of the sintered powder compacts in the rotary forging process. The effect of the H / D ratio and the rotary forging force on the density were discovered. By determining both the density and the hardness of compacts, it was found that the density distributions show no difference from the hardness distributions and that the gradients of the density and the hardness in the axial direction are larger than those in the radial direction.

The chlorocarbenoid , CHCl2Li , was studied by means of ab initio molecular or- bital theory. Three equilibrium structures and two isomerization transition states were located. The calculations showed that the three-membered ring structure is the most stable. The 'classical tetrahedral' structure is not the local minimum on the potential energy surface.

The chemical short-range order of Al-Fe-Ce amorphous alloy was studied by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). It is found that the prepeak position in X-ray diffraction intensity curve shifts to higher angles as the content of Fe increases, but it shifts to smaller angles as the content of Ce increases. The crystallization character of the amorphous alloy changes with the variation of the content of Fe and Ce. Ce can improve the interaction between atoms and the capacity of compound formation, so it is favorable to Al-based glass formability.
