MOF-derived Ni3Fe/Ni/NiFe2O4@C for enhanced hydrogen storage performance of MgH2

Magnesium hydride（MgH2） is an important material for hydrogen（H2） storage and transportation owing to its high capacity and ***,its intrinsic properties have considerably limited its industrial *** this study,the NiFe-800 catalyst as metal-organic framework（MOF） derivative was first utilized to promote the intrinsic properties of *** to pure MgH2,which releases1.24 wt% H2in 60 min at 275℃,the MgH2-10 NiFe-800 composite releases 5.85 wt% H2in the same *** at a lower temperature of 250℃,the MgH2-10 NiFe-800 composite releases 3.57 wt% H2,surpassing the performance of pure MgH2at 275℃.correspondingly,while pure MgH2absorbs 2.08 wt% H2in60 min at 125℃,the MgH2-10 NiFe-800 composite absorbs 5.35 wt% H2in just 1 min,Remarkably,the MgH2-10 NiFe-800 composite absorbs 2.27 wt% H2in 60 min at 50℃ and 4.64 wt% H2at 75℃.This indicates that MgH2-10 NiFe-800 exhibits optimum performance with excellent kinetics at low ***,the capacity of the MgH2-10 NiFe-800 composite remains largely stable after ***,the Mg2Ni/Mg2NiH4acts as a "hydrogen pump",providing effective diffusion channels that enhance the kinetic process of the composite during ***,Fe0facilitates electron transfer and creates hydrogen diffusion channels and catalytic ***,carbon（C） effectively prevents particle agglomeration and maintains the cyclic stability of the ***,the synergistic effects of Mg2Ni/Mg2NiH4,Fe0,and C considerably improve the kinetic properties and cycling stability of *** work offers an effective and valuable approach to improving the hydrogen storage efficiency in the commercial application of MgH2.

Staged dendrite suppression for high safe and stable lithium-sulfur batteries

The unavoidable dendrite growth and shuttle effect have long been stranglehold challenges limiting the safety and practicality of lithium-sulfur ***,we propose a dual-action strategy to address the lithium dendrite issue in stages by constructing a multifunctional surface-negatively-charged nanodiamond layer with high ductility and robust puncture resistance on polypropylene (PP) *** uniformly loaded compact negative layer can not only significantly enhance electron transmission efficiency and promote uniform lithium deposition,but also reduce the formation of dendrite during early deposition *** importantly,under the strong puncture stress encountered during the deterioration of lithium dendrite growth under limiting current,the high ductility and robust puncture resistance(145.88 MPa) of as-obtained nanodiamond layer can effectively prevent short circuits caused by unavoidable lithium *** Li||Li symmetrical cells assembled with nanodiamond layer modified PP demonstrated a stable cycle of over 1000 h at 2 mA cm^(-2)with a polarization voltage of only 29.3 ***,the negative charged layer serves as a physical barrier blocking lithium polysulfide ions,effectively mitigating capacity *** improved cells achieved a capacity decay of only 0.042%per cycle after 700 cycles at 3 C,demonstrating effective suppression of dendrite growth and capacity attenuation,showing promising prospect.

Super-high bed sintering for iron ores:variation and optimization of bed resistance

As the bed depth increases,sintering yield increases,but the productivity *** reveal the reasons for the decrease in productivity and explore targeted solutions,the bed resistance of mixtures,wet zone,and combustion zone was analyzed in the *** results showed that the decreased porosity of mixture resulted in the increased bed resistance by 160.56%when the bed depth increased from 600 to 1000 *** improving porosity of 1%by adding loosening bars with optimized size and distribution,the bed resistance decreased,and the productivity increased by 5%.The increase in bed depth increased the thickness of the wet zone from 120 to 680 mm and the resistance from 1.56 to 8.83 *** using a three-stage intensive mixer and pre-adding water for granulation,the moisture of mixture was reduced by 0.6%,and the sintering productivity increased by 4%.Besides,the high bed resistance is mainly caused by the increase in the thickness of the combustion zone from 31.9 to 132.7 mm,and the bed resistance increased from 0.70 to 5.62 *** bed resistance of the combustion zone at 900 mm was increased by 90.51%compared to 700 *** optimization of the distribution of coke breeze,the thickness of combustion zone at the lower layer decreased from 132.7 to 106.84 mm and permeability improved significantly.

Metallogenic model of sandstone-hosted copper deposits:a case study from the Paleogene in Jiashi area,northwestern China

Sandstone-hosted copper deposits,a type of Sediment-Hosted Stratiform copper (SSC) deposits,are widely distributed *** economically viable deposits of SSC are relatively scarce,they account for approximately 30%of the world's total discovered copper ***,there is still a lack of comprehensive and in-depth research into the depositional and metallogenic models of these *** Jiashi area of the Tarim Basin in northwestern China,known for its economically significant Paleogene SSC deposit,lacks in-depth studies on metallogenic *** address this,field profile observations were conducted to analyze the sedimentary evolution,sequence stratigraphy,and tectonism of the Paleogene strata in the Jiashi *** with elemental geochemical analysis of samples,the provenance of sediment,and the source of metallogenic materials,a robust metallogenic model was *** results reveal the influence of provenance for the origin of Paleogene copper-rich *** evolution played a crucial role in controlling the distribution of copper and sulfur elements,as well as the spatial arrangement of metallogenic ***,nappe movement potentially generated faults,allowing upward movement of basin fluids,which played a crucial role in the formation of copper deposits within sandstone-hosted ***,this study offers a comprehensive analysis of the metallogenic processes involved in sandstone-hosted copper deposits,thereby contributing significant insights to the broader research on SSC deposits worldwide.

Enhancement of bending toughness for Fe-based amorphous nanocrystalline alloy with deep cryogenic-cycling treatment

The effects of deep cryogenic-cycling treatment(DCT)on the mechanical properties,soft magnetic properties,and atomic scale structure of the Fe_(73.5)Si_(13.5)B_(9)Nb_(3)Cu_(1)amorphous nanocrystalline alloy were *** DCT samples were obtained by subjecting the as-annealed samples to a thermal cycling process between the temperature of the supercooled liquid zone and the temperature of liquid *** flat plate bending testing,hardness measurements,and nanoindentation experiment,it is found that the bending toughness of the DCT samples is improved and the soft magnetic properties are also slightly *** are attributed to the rejuvenation behavior of the DCT samples,which demonstrate a higher enthalpy of ***,DCT is an effective method to enhance the bending toughness of Fe-based amorphous nanocrystalline alloys without degrading the soft magnetic properties.

Monitoring seismic velocity changes in the Dongtan coal Mine using ambient noise correlation

This study analyzed ambient seismic noise using the MSNoise package to monitor temporal changes in the underground seismic wave velocity in Mining Area 6 of the Dongtan coal Mine in *** data was recorded continuously over 76 days by 7 three-component stations and 10 single-component microseismic stations deployed in Dongtan coal Mine,with station spacing ranging from 0.1 km to approximately 3 *** the causal and non-causal components of the Z-component cross-correlation function,along with moving-window cross-spectrum analysis and cumulative calculations with a 5-day window overlay,stable seismic velocity changes were obtained in the frequency band of 0.1 to 2 *** found a correlation between the timing of average velocity changes and seismic events caused by underground mining *** particular,when the relative seismic velocity increased by 0.23%,larger energy minequakes typically *** study shows that ambient noise correlation has great potential for predicting minequakes,guiding pressure-relief production,and providing warnings about the impact of overburden pressure.

Optimizing battery deployment: Aging trajectory prediction enabling homogenous performance grouping

As battery deployments in electric vehicles and energy storage systems grow, ensuring homogeneous performance across units is crucial. We propose a multi-derivative imaging fusion(MDIF) model, employing advanced imaging and machine learning to predict battery aging trajectories from minimal initial data, thus facilitating effective performance grouping before deployment. Utilizing a derivative strategy and Gramian Angular Difference Field for dimensional enhancement, the MDIF model uncovers subtle predictive features from discharge curve data after only ten cycles. The architecture includes a parallel convolutional neural network with lateral connections to enhance feature integration and *** on a self-developed dataset, the model achieves an average root-mean-square error of 0.047 Ah and an average mean absolute percentage error of 1.60%, demonstrating high precision and *** robustness is further validated through transfer learning on two publicly available datasets, adapting with minimal retraining. This approach significantly reduces the testing cycles required, lowering both time and costs associated with battery testing. By enabling precise battery behavior predictions with limited data, the MDIF model optimizes battery utilization and deployment strategies, enhancing system efficiency and sustainability.
