Background:Computed tomography(CT)plays a great role in characterizing and quantifying changes in lung structure and function of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).This study aimed to explore the performance of CT-based whole lung radiomic in discriminating COPD patients and non-COPD ***:This retrospective study was performed on 2785 patients who underwent pulmonary function examination in 5 hospitals and were divided into non-COPD group and COPD *** radiomic features of the whole lung volume were *** absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LAssO)logistic regression was applied for feature selection and radiomic signature construction.A radiomic nomogram was established by combining the radiomic score and clinical *** operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis and decision curve analysis(DCA)were used to evaluate the predictive performance of the radiomic nomogram in the training,internal validation,and independent external validation ***:Eighteen radiomic features were collected from the whole lung volume to construct a radiomic *** area under the curve(AUC)of the radiomic model in the training,internal,and independent external validation cohorts were 0.888[95%confidence interval(CI)0.869–0.906],0.874(95%CI 0.844–0.904),and 0.846(95%CI 0.822–0.870),*** were higher than the clinical model(AUC were 0.732,0.714,and 0.777,respectively,Pstrated that the nomogram constructed by combining radiomic score,age,sex,height,and smoking status was superior to the clinical factor ***:The intuitive nomogram constructed by CT-based whole-lung radiomic has shown good performance and high accuracy in identifying COPD in this multicenter study.

Copper is one of the essential trace elements for living beings,influencing several critical processes like cellular energy production,antioxidant defense,communication within cells,and the functioning of enzymes[1].The daily intake of copper is 0.7−3.0 mg/d,and copper homeostasis is strictly regulated by physiological processes,including duodenal and small intestinal uptake,blood transport,liver storage and release,and bile excretion,thereby maintaining copper homeostasis in the body[2],and many studies have confirmed that copper disorders in the body are associated with neurodegenerative,metabolic,and genetic diseases[3].

Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of Juan Bi Pill(JBP)in treatment of active rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods:From February 2017 to May 2018,115 participants from 4 centers were randomly divided into JBP group(57 cases)and placebo group(58 cases)in a 1:1 ratio using a random number table *** received a dose of JBP(4 g,twice a day,orally)combined with methotrexate(MTX,10 mg per week)or placebo(4 g,twice a day,orally)combined with MTX for 12 *** were required with follow-up visits at 24 and 48 weeks,attending 7 assessment *** were undergo disease activity assessment 7 times(at baseline and 2,4,8,12,24,48 weeks)and safety assessments 6 times(at baseline and 4,8,12,24,48 weeks).The primary endpoint was 28-joint Disease Activity score(DAs28-EsR and DAs28-CRP).The secondary endpoints included American College of Rheumatology(ACR)criteria for 20%and 50%improvement(ACR20/50),Health Assessment Questionnaire Disability Index(HAQ-DI),clinical disease activity index(CDAI),visual analog scale(VAs),short Form-36(sF-36)score,Medial Outcomes study(MOs)sleep scale score,serum erythrocyte sedimentation rate(EsR),C-reactive protein(CRP),tender joint count,swollen joint count,and morning *** adverse reactions were observed during the ***:After 12 weeks of treatment,DAs28-EsR and DAs28-CRP scores in both groups were lower than before treatment(both Pssion rate of DAs28-EsR and DAs28-CRP and low disease activity of JBP group were higher than those in the placebo group(both Pstrated better efficacy on ACR20 and ACR50 compliance rate at 12 and 48 weeks comparing to placebo(all Pscore,pain VAs and global VAs change of RA patients and physicians,the serum EsR and CRP levels,and the number of tenderness and swelling joints were lower than before treatment at 4,8,12,24,48 weeks in both groups(Ps in

BACKGROUND The International study Group of Pancreatic surgery has established the defi-nition and grading system for postpancreatectomy acute pancreatitis(PPAP).There are no established machine learning models for predicting PPAP following pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).AIM To explore the predictive model of PPAP,and test its predictive efficacy to guide the clinical *** Clinical data from consecutive patients who underwent PD between 2016 and 2024 were retrospectively *** analysis of PPAP risk factors was performed,various machine learning algorithms[logistic regression,random forest,gradient boosting decision tree,extreme gradient boosting,light gradient boosting machine,and category boosting(CatBoost)]were utilized to develop predictive *** feature elimination was employed to select several variables to achieve the optimal machine *** The study included 381 patients,of whom 88(23.09%)developed *** patients exhibited a significantly higher incidence of postoperative pancreatic fistula(55.68%vs 14.68%,Pstoperative pancreatic fistula(9.09%vs 1.37%,P=0.001).The CatBoost algorithm outperformed other algorithms with a mean area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.859[95%confidence interval(CI):0.814-0.905]in the training cohort and 0.822(95%CI:0.717-0.927)in the testing *** to shapley additive explanations analysis,pancreatic texture,main pancreatic duct diameter,body mass index,estimated blood loss,and surgery time were the most important variables based on recursive feature *** CatBoost algorithm based on selected variables demonstrated superior performance,with an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.837(95%CI:0.788-0.886)in the training cohort and 0.812(95%CI:0.697-0.927)in the testing *** We developed the first machine learning-based predictive model for PPAP following *** predictive model can assist surgeons in an
