MgH2is co.sidered as a promising hydrogen storage material for its high hydrogen storage capacity,low co.t and abundant resource ***,the low kinetics and high enthalpy formation of MgH2limit its wide *** the perspective of adding catalysts to enhance the hydrogen storage properties of Mg-MgH2,this article elaborated the main catalysts based on Ti and Nb transition elements,including single oxide catalysts,binary oxides catalysts（co.bined with Ni,Na,Sr,V,etc.）,multiple catalysts bound to carbon,and co.posite catalysts with Ti and Nb elements co.bined with MXene ***,the main pathways of various catalysts to reduce the reaction activity and broaden the hydrogen desorption channel were also *** Ti-based catalysts can enhance the reactive sites of the matrix by forming multivalent states,while Nb-based catalysts broaden the hydrogen reaction channels by forming tiny *** improving the size structure and enhancing the grain size stability,co.bined with carbon materials should be the future co.siderations.

High-frequency dielectric properties of BSTO ceramic prepared with hydrothermal synthesized SrTiO_3 and BaTiO_3 powders

BSTO dielectric ceramic was prepared from SrTi03 and BaTi03 powders synthesized by hydrothermal method, as well as from ***.4TiO3 powder synthesized by co.ventional solid-state reaction. The former can be sintered at a relatively low temperature of 1120 ℃. Characterization by SEM showed that the grain shapes of both ceramics are cubical, though the grain size of the former is much smaller. Dielectric co.stants measured at 20℃ were shown to vary with frequency in the range from I kHz to 2 MHz and dc bias field, and further that the dielectric loss of the former to be less than 2 × 10^- 3 in the frequency range of 20 kHz to 1 MHz, much smaller than that of the latter sample. For the former, temperature dependence of dielectric co.stant is much flatter and there exists an extended phase transition diffusion co.ering a wide temperature range of Curie temperature To. The smaller grain size of the former depresses the dc bias electrical field dependence of dielectric co.stant. The tunability is 7% under a bias field of 0.6 kV/mm dc.

Asymmetric broad-waveguide separate-co.finement heterostructure（BW-SCH） quantum well（QW） laser diode emitting at 808 nm is analyzed and designed *** dependence of the optical field distribution, vertical far-field angle,and internal loss on different thicknesses of the upper waveguide layer is calculated and *** results show that when the thicknesses of the lower and upper waveguide layers are 0.45 and 0.3μm,respectively,for the devices with 100-μm-wide stripe and 1000-μm-long cavity,an output power of 7.6 W at 8 A,a vertical far-field angle of 37°,a slope efficiency of 1.32 W/A, and a threshold current of 189 mA can be obtained.

A new method for regulating the synthesis of Ni Mg Fe hydrotalcites(NMF LDHs) with the addition of hydroxyl co.pounds was proposed. A series of NMF LDHs were prepared by the above method, and then were calcined to obtain the Ni Mg FeOx(NMFOx) samples. The NMFOxsamples were characterized by XRD,SEM, TG-DTG, XPS and co.-TPD, respectively. The catalytic performance of NMFOxfor depolymerizing calcium lignosulfonate(CLS) was evaluated by hydrothermal reaction. The results showed that the addition of hydroxyl co.pounds favored reducing the particle sizes of NMF LDHs. For the depolymerization of CSL, the yield of liquid product increased from 45% to 75.8% with the addition of NMFOx-ethanol(NMFOxET). The liquid products were mainly phenolics, aromatics, ketones and esters. The total selectivity of oxy-co.taining co.pounds was over 90.6%, among them, the phenolics were approximately 35.2%. The valence of Ni and Fe, crystalline phase and basicity almost remained unchanged. The NMFOx-ET samples were recycled for the depolymerization of CLS, moreover, the NMFOx-ET samples had high activity and stability after 4 cycles.

Hydrogen storage thermodynamic and kinetic characteristics of PrMg12-type alloys synthesized by mechanical milling

To improve the hydrogen storage performance of PrMg12-type alloys, Ni was adopted to replace partially Mg in the alloys. The PrMgllNi＋x wt.% Ni （x=100, 200） alloys were prepared via mechanical milling. The phase structures and morphology of the experimental alloys were in vestigated by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microsco.y. The results show that increasing milling time and Ni co.tent accelerate the formation of nanocrystalline and amorphous structure. The gaseous hydrogen storage properties of the experimental alloys were determined by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） and Sievert apparatus. In addition, increasing milling time makes the hydrogenation rates of the alloys augment firstly and decline subsequently and the dehydrogenation rate always increases. The maximum capacity is 5. 572 wt. % for the x = 100 alloy and 5. 829 wt. % for the x = 200 alloy, respectively. The enthalpy change （ △H ）, entropy change （△S） and the dehydrogenation activation energy （Exde） markedly lower with increasing the milling time and the Ni co.tent due to the generation of nanocrystalline and amorphous structure.

Ga In As P layers and Ga As P/（Al） Ga In P laser diodes（LDs） have been grown on Ga As substrates by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition. The Ga In As P layer, which is lattice matched to Ga As, has an intermediate band gap between Ga0.5In0.5P and Ga As. The Ga In P/Ga As heterojunction spikes, especially in the valence band,can be suppressed by introducing this thin Ga In As P layer into the heterostructure interface. The 808 nm Ga As P/（Al）Ga In P LDs with Ga In As P intermediate layer show a reduced operating voltage co.pared to the co.ventional LDs with abrupt Ga In P/Ga As interface due to the enhanced hole injection. As a result, the power co.version efficiency is improved from 52% to 60% at 350 m W output power. At high current injection, the LD with Ga In As P intermediate layer has higher light power owing to the decreased joule heating.

In order to explore the application of magnetron co.sputtering in fabricating the amorphous alloy, Zr-co.tained amorphous films were prepared by this technique and investigated by scanning electron microsco.e, energy disperse spectrosco.y and X-ray diffraction. The results show that the co.sputtered films are in fully amorphous state or with amorphous-nanocrystalline structure. The XRD patterns of the Zr-Cu and Zr-Ni amorphous films exhibit a double-peak phenomenon. There is a shift of diffusive peak with changing the sputtering current which is possibly attributed to the change of Zr-Ni and Zr-Cu intermetallic like short range orders. In addition, Zr-Cu-Ni ternary co.sputtered films have a sharper peak at high angle. The sputtering yield of element during co.sputtering ranks as Cu>Ni>Zr, which can be ascribed to the co.tribution of melting and boiling temperature, atomic size and electrical co.ductivity of elements.

Preparation of Poly-α-Olefin Microcapsule Particles co.ted with Polyurethane as a Drag Reducer Based on Interface Polymerization

The molecular behavior of polyurethane(PU)co.ting materials during the surface adsorption of poly-α-olefin as a drag reducing polymer was explored by a molecular dynamics *** different PU capsule wall materials were synthesized using two reaction monomers,and a poly-α-olefin/PU drag reducer microcapsule was prepared based on interface *** structure,morphology,thermal stability,co.pressive strength,and drag reduction performance of the microcapsules were characterized and *** results showed that a non-bonding interaction induced the adsorption of the PU co.ting material,poly-α-olefin and PU then fused at the interface,and the PU co.ting material was embedded into the inner grooves of poly-α-olefin in the form of a local mosaic,thereby forming a stable co.e–shell *** morphological characterization indicated that PU and poly-α-olefin co.ld form microcapsule *** thermal deco.position temperature of the microcapsule was dependent on the type of capsule wall *** microcapsule structure had a slight effect on poly-α-olefin drag *** system enabled poly-α-olefin to exist in powdered particles through microcapsulation,and had a good dispersion effect that facilitated storage and transport *** method effectively inhibited the accumulation and bonding of poly-α-olefin at room temperature.
