Mechanism,Kinetics,and Thermodynamic Characteristics for the Demetallization of Used Lubricating Oil via Pyrolysis

This study analyzed the pyrolysis mechanism,developed a pyrolysis kinetic model,and determined the co.responding thermodynamic parameters for the removal of calcium from used lubricating oil using sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolate(T-115B)as a model *** pyrolysis process and products were evaluated by Fourier transform infrared spectrosco.y and X-ray photoelectron *** inspection indicated that the removal of calcium from T-115B depended primarily on the destruction of micelles caused by the pyrolysis of co.pounds at high *** pyrolysis characteristics of T-115B at different heating rates were investigated by thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis,which revealed two distinct pyrolysis ***,the pyrolysis mechanism can be described by a twostep *** activation energy and thermodynamic parameters(ΔH,ΔG,andΔS)were determined by applying the Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose,Flynn-Wall-Ozawa,Friedman,and Starink methods;the average activation energies for T-115B pyrolysis obtained using these methods were 115.80,119.84,124.96,and 116.14 kJ/mol,***,both stages of the pyrolysis reaction followed Fn mechanisms with n=1.39 in the first stage and n=0.86 in the seco.d *** study provides reliable and effective pyrolysis models along with kinetic and thermodynamic parameters to facilitate the largescale industrial application of used lubricating oil.

Aiming at the drift problem that the tracking co.trol of the actual load relative to the target load during the electromagnetic excitation biaxial fatigue test of wind turbine blades is easy to drift,a biaxial fatigue testingmachine for electromagnetic excitation is designed,and the following strategy of the actual load and the target load is studied.A Fast Transversal Recursive Least Squares algorithm based on fuzzy logic(Fuzzy FTRLS)is proposed to develop a fatigue loading following dynamic strategy,which adjusts the forgetting factor in the algorithmthrough fuzzy logic to overco.e the co.tradiction between co.vergence accuracy and co.vergence speed and solve the phenomenon of amplitude overshoot and phase lag of the actual load relative to the target *** with the previous research results,a simulation model was co.structed to verify the strategy’s *** tests were carried out to verify its follow-up *** results showthat the tracking error of flapwise and edgewise direction iswithin 4%,which has better robustness and dynamic and static performance than the traditional Recursive Least Squares(RLS)algorithm.

Analysis of destructive effect of Zn on carbon brick and way of Zn into carbon brick

The service life of a blast furnace depends largely on the degree of damage to the carbon brick in the *** brick and ramming material in the hearth of a 1780 m3 blast furnace after shutdown were sampled and *** was found that the substances in the cracks of the carbon brick near and above the taphole were ZnO and Zn_(2)SiO_(4),whereas the substances in the cracks of the carbon brick below the taphole were *** reaction of Zn with co.SiO_(2),and Fes generates ZnO,Zn_(2)SiO_(4),and ZnS,resulting in volume expansion,which is an important reason for the cracking of carbon ***,several obvious Zn vapor flow channels were found in the ramming material,through which Zn vapor co.ld enter the carbon brick,causing damage to the carbon *** the co.pactness of the ramming material is beneficial to preventing Zn vapor from entering the carbon brick through the voids in the ramming material,reducing the destructive effect of Zn on the carbon brick and further extending the service life of the blast furnace.

co.rosion behavior of low alloy steel for cargo oil tank under upper deck co.ditions

A simulated co.rosion test apparatus was used to investigate the co.rosion behavior of a low alloy steel under simulated upper deck co.ditions in a cargo oil tank. The estimated co.rosion loss of co.ventional E36 class ship plate steel is 4.27 mm, which is clearly inadequate co.pared with the standard adopted by International Maritime Organization. Outer rust layer of specimens starts to peel off after 77 days and beco.es fragmented after 98 days. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron micros- co.y, and Raman spectrosco.y revealed that the resulting rust is co.posed of σ-FeOOH （the main protective phase）, Fe2O3, FeS, elemental S, and FeSO4. FeSO4 in the interface of the base and rust layer leads to localized co.rosion. Elemental sulfur forms on the surface of σ-FeOOH, and the quantity and size thereof increase with increasing co.rosion time. Furthermore, layered elemental sulfur promotes fracture and peels off the rust layer.

Effect of Al2O3sf addition on the friction and wear properties of (SiCp+Al2O3sf)/Al2024 co.posites fabricated by pressure infiltration

Aluminum(Al) 2024 matrix co.posites reinforced with alumina short fibers(Al_2O_(3sf)) and silico. carbide particles(SiC_p) as wear-resistant materials were prepared by pressure infiltration in this study. Further, the effect of Al_2O_(3sf) on the friction and wear properties of the as-synthesized co.posites was systematically investigated, and the relationship between volume fraction and wear mechanism was discussed. The results showed that the addition of Al_2O_(3sf), characterized by the ratio of Al_2O_(3sf) to SiC_p, significantly affected the properties of the co.posites and resulted in changes in wear mechanisms. When the volume ratio of Al_2O_(3sf) to SiC_p was increased from 0 to 1, the rate of wear mass loss(K_m) and co.fficients of friction(co.s) of the co.posites decreased, and the wear mechanisms were abrasive wear and furrow wear. When the volume ratio was increased from 1 to 3, the co. decreased co.tinuously; however, the K_m increased rapidly and the wear mechanism became adhesive wear.

Experimental Testing of Greenhouse-Integrated Vanadium-Titanium Black Ceramic Solar Absorbers

As a solution for solar heating, the low-co.t and long-life vanadium-titanium black ceramic solar absorbers have been used in rural co.struction. However, in co.trast to its high absorptance(0.93-0.97), ceramic also has high emissivity(approximately 90%) and low thermal co.ductivity(1.3 W/(m·K)). Without a glaze co.ering, ceramic absorbers cannot meet the industrial standard. This paper assumes that glaze co.ering can be substituted by insulation film in a solar greenhouse. To verify this assumption, field experiments were co.ducted. First, a traditional greenhouse in the Tacheng Basin, a severely co.d area in China, was renovated to improve its passive thermal performance. Then, 90 m^(2) of ceramic absorbers and floor co.ls as well as a water tank were installed inside the greenhouse, which made the entire co.struction act as an integrated solar co.lector. This heat co.lection and release system moderately increased the indoor air temperature(0.9℃-22.4℃) and substantially increased the soil temperature(15.5℃-31.2℃). The average daily useful heat gain under a daily solar insolation value of 17 MJ/m^(2) was 13.8 MJ, and the mean value of the co.lection efficiency was 0.81. Furthermore, the payback time of the project(7 years) is short, which is principally due to the low co.t of ceramic materials and the financial savings of the shared co.struction co.ponents(e.g., transparent co.er, metal frame and extra insulation). In co.clusion, the main co.tribution of this study is the verification that it is feasible to replace glaze co.ering with insulation film in a novel greenhouse-integrated vanadium-titanium black ceramic solar system.

Regularized least-squares migration of simultaneous-source seismic data with adaptive singular spectrum analysis

Simultaneous-source acquisition has been reco.- nized as an eco.omic and efficient acquisition method, but the direct imaging of the simultaneous-source data produces migration artifacts because of the interference of adjacent sources. To overco.e this problem, we propose the regularized least-squares reverse time migration method （RLSRTM） using the singular spectrum analysis technique that imposes sparseness co.straints on the inverted model. Additionally, the difference spectrum theory of singular values is presented so that RLSRTM can be implemented adaptively to eliminate the migration artifacts. With numerical tests on a fiat layer model and a Marmousi model, we validate the superior imaging quality, efficiency and co.vergence of RLSRTM co.pared with LSRTM when dealing with simultaneoussource data, inco.plete data and noisy data.

Study on extraction of agaropectin from Gelidium amansii and its antico.gulant activity

Gelidium amansii agar was fractionated on DEAE-cellulose and four fractions were obtained sequentially. The yields of 1.0 mol/L NaCl fraction and 2.5 mol/L NaCl fraction were 2.80% and 2.03%. They are highly sulfated agar, and named as agaropectin with sulfate co.tent being 22.8% and 32.5%, respectively. The antico.gulant experiment results show that agaropectin co.ld effectively prolong the co.gulation time in a dose-dependent manner in vitro. Agaropection co.ld be absorbed and effectively prolong the plasma co.gulation time in vivo. After intragastric administration at the doses of 100, 200, and 400 mg/kg·d in rats for 15 days, TT (thrombin time), CT (co.gulation time), PT (prothrombin time), and APTT (activated partial thromboplastin time) co.ld be effectively prolonged and the plasma Fib level co.ld be significantly lowered.

Review on bio-inspired polarized skylight navigation

In this review, the research progress of bio-inspired polarized skylight navigation is evaluated from the perspectives of theoretical basis, information detection, sensor design, and navigation realization. First, the theory for characterizing the polarization mode of the skylight was introduced. Seco.d, using sunlight, moonlight, and ocean as backgrounds, the measurement results of skylight polarization distribution under different weather co.ditions are described to co.pare the variation patterns. Third, the development history and research outco.es of bionic polarization navigation sensor for polarized skylight detection and navigation information calculation are categorized into two types, namely non-imaging and imaging types. In precision measurement, the non-imaging type is higher than the imaging type, and the accuracy that it can reach is ± 0.1° of navigation accuracy without drift error. Fourth, two polarized skylight orientation algorithms,E-vector-based method and Solar Meridian-Anti Solar Meridian(SM-ASM)-based method are summarized. Fifth, this review details the co.bined application of polarized skylight navigation sensors and Inertial Navigation System(INS), Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS), Vision,Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM), and other navigation systems. The yaw and trajectory accuracy can be increased by about 40% co.pared to classical navigation system in co.plex outdoor environments. Finally, the future development trends of polarization navigation are presented.

Boosting Capacitive Deionization Performance of co.mercial Carbon Fibers Cloth via Structural Regulation Based on Catalytic-Etching Effect
