Purpose: To analyze the register of oral cancer cases diagnosed on public laboratory of mato Grosso State。methods: It's a longitudinal epidemiologic study。The studied object was the histopathological award, being 1.324 emitted awards between January 2005 and December 2006。The oral cancer cases were verified through the analysis of following variables: percentage of oral cancer among oral lesions, histological type, age, and the local where the patients come from (interior or capital of State)。Results: After analysis of data, 44 lesions of oral cancer were found, representing 3% of all diagnosis。The histological type more incident were oral squamous cell carcinoma。The majority of diagnosis was referent to men with age between 5th and 6th decade of life that were resident in interior of State。Conclusion: We can conclude with this study that during the period of two years of historic series, the public service of pathology registered a considerable number of oral cancer cases。
