In this study, the effect of sliding velocities, bearing pressure and temperature on wear losses of journal bearing composites which are made of PA 6.6 + 30%GFR (glass fiber reinforcement) and PA66 + 25%GFR + 3%MoS2 (glass fiber and molybdenum disulfide were examined at the room temperature conditions. The results of experiments are presented in graphics which proves that the temperatures and the wear losses are affected by forming film, increasing temperature, pressure and velocities depending on glass fiber and MoS2 reinforced PA6.6 and PA66. The Increasing temperatures with increasing velocities affect the wear losses of journal bearings. Glass fiber reinforcement raised load carrying capacity depending on its rigidity and provided heat dissipation. The best wear behavior was seen at the PA66 + 25%GFR + 3%MoS2 on the journal bearing specimens. MoS2 reinforcement provided lower wear losses by enhancing the holding ability of the film on counter surfaces at high velocity and under high pressure in this study.

The Ak?akale Cave is located in the vicinity of the Arsa neighborhood within the boundaries of the Ak?akale village, Gümü?hane, Turkey. The cave is rich in cave formations(stalactite, stalagmite, cave pearl, cave flower, wall travertines). Thus, the appropriateness of opening the cave to visitors to boost tourism is of importance for the local and national economy. This study analyzes the stability of the Ak?akale Cave using a numerical analysis method. According to the results of the total displacement analysis, there are displacements in the entrance, ceiling, and sidewalls of the cave ranging from 1 mm to 48 mm. It seems that the entrance, ceiling, and sidewalls of the cave face a high risk of local or sudden collapse. According to the deformation analysis of the length section of the cave examined, local collapses may occur especially in the first 75 m from the entrance of the cave. We believe that this situation would not carry a risk for the Arsa neighborhood for now. In conclusion, the results of the stability analysis and in-situ observations showed clear evidence of former and ongoing cave-ins(collapses) and the Ak?akale Cave faces a high risk of local or sudden collapse. Thus, although the Ak?akale Cave is one of the most prominent karst caves in Turkey, it seems to be not appropriate to open the cave to tourist visits.

This paper proposes an energy management system(EMS)for the real-time operation of a pilot stochastic and dynamic microgrid on a university campus in Malta consisting of a diesel generator,photovoltaic panels,and *** objective is to minimize the total daily operation costs,which include the degradation cost of batteries,the cost of energy bought from the main grid,the fuel cost of the diesel generator,and the emission *** optimization problem is modeled as a finite Markov decision process(MDP)by combining network and technical constraints,and Q-learning algorithm is adopted to solve the sequential decision *** proposed algorithm decomposes a multi-stage mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)problem into a series of single-stage problems so that each subproblem can be solved by using Bellman’s *** prove the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm,three case studies are taken into consideration:(1)minimizing the daily energy cost;(2)minimizing the emission cost;(3)minimizing the daily energy cost and emission cost ***,each case is operated under different battery operation conditions to investigate the battery ***,performance comparisons are carried out with a conventional Qlearning algorithm.

Background： Studies have reported the presence of sleep disorders in approximately 50-70% of diabetic patients, and these may contribute to poor glycemic control, diabetic neuropathy, and overnight hypoglycemia. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of sleep disorders in diabetic patients, and to investigate possible relationships between scores of these sleep disorders and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome （OSAS） and diabetic parameters （fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin Alc [HbA lc], and lipid levels）. Methods： We used the Berlin questionnaire （BQ） for OSAS, the Epworth Sleepiness Scale （ESS）, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index （PSQI） to determine the frequency of sleep disorders and their possible relationships with fasting blood glucose, HbA I c, and lipid levels. Results： The study included 585 type 2 diabetic patients admitted to family medicine clinics between October and December 2014. Sleep, sleep quality, and sleep scores were used as the dependent variables in the analysis. The ESS scores showed that 54.40% of patients experienced excessive daytime sleepiness, and according to the PSQI, 64.30% experienced poor-quality sleep. The BQ results indicated that 50.20% of patients were at high-risk of OSAS. HbAlc levels correlated significantly with the ESS and PSQI results （r = 0.23, P 〈 0.001 and r = 0.14, P = 0.001, respectively）, and were significantly higher in those with high-risk of OSAS as defined by the BQ （P 〈 0.001 ）. These results showed that HbAlc levels were related to sleep disorders. Conclusions： Sleep disorders are common in diabetic patients and negatively affect the control of diabetes. Conversely, poor diabetes control is an important factor disturbing sleep quality. Addressing sleep disturbances in patients who have difficulty controlling their blood glucose has dual benefits： Preventing diabetic cornplications caused by sleep disturbance and improving diabetes control.

Current methods of ruminant ration formulation in Pakistan use foreign-based nutrient availability *** values may not be optimal for all geographic areas,as variation in environment,agronomic factors,animal species,and diet characteristics may not be *** aim of present study was to establish a database of the chemical composition and dry matter degradation parameters of tropical forage commonly fed to ruminants in Pakistan and South Asian countries using Nili-Ravi buffalo and Cholistani cattle at heifer and lactating *** cereal grain and four legume species were grown in 3 locations under standard agronomic conditions and sampled at booting and at 50%flowering stage for cereal and legumes,*** and milled feeds were analyzed for chemical composition and in situ dry matter degradation parameters using 1 g samples in bags placed in the rumen of 2 Nili-Ravi buffalo heifers,2 lactating Nili-Ravi buffaloes,2 Cholistani heifers,and 2 lactating Cholistani *** forage family(cereal ***),species,and geographic location of growth significantly influenced(P0.05).Legume-by-heifer interactions significantly increased(P<0.05),and legume-by-lactating cow interaction tended(P=0.065),to increase the rate of degradation(Kd).The selected forages were degiaded to a similar extent independent of animal species or developmental stage,and legumes are degraded at higher rates and to a greater extent than are cereals.A moderately significant relationship between Kd and effective dry matter degradability(DMD)suggests tliat Kd co|iild be the single most important predictor of forage degi adability in the rumen.

AIM： To evaluate central macular thickness（CMT） and mean choroidal thickness（MCT） in eyes with branch retinal vein occlusion（BRVO）, before and after ranibizumab treatment using spectral domain-optical coherence tomography（SD-OCT）.·METHODS： Forty-two patients with unilateral BRVO and macular edema were included in this study. There were 25 men and 17 women. Using SD-OCT, choroidal thickness was measured at 500 μm intervals up to 1500μm temporal and nasal to the fovea. MCT was calculated based on the average of the 7 locations. All the eyes with BRVO were treated with intravitreal ranibizumab（0.5 mg/0.05 m L）. Comparisons between the BRVO and fellow eyes were analyzed using Mann-Whitney U test. Preinjection and post-injection measurements were analyzed using Wilcoxon test and repeated measure analysis.· RESULTS： At baseline, there was a significant difference between the BRVO and fellow eyes in MCT[BRVO eyes 245（165-330） μm, fellow eyes 229（157-327） μm]and CMT [BRVO eyes 463（266-899） μm, fellow eyes 235（148-378） μm（P =0.041, 0.0001, respectively）]. Following treatment, CMT [295（141-558） μm] and MCT [229（157-329） μm] decreased significantly compared to the baseline measurements（P =0.001, 0.006, respectively）.Also BCVA（log MAR） improved significantly（P=0.0001） in the BRVO eyes following treatment. After treatment CMT[BRVO eyes 295（141-558） μm, fellow eyes 234（157-351） μm]and MCT [BRVO eyes 229（157-329） μm, fellow eyes 233（162-286） μm] values did not reveal any significant difference in BRVO eyes and fellow eyes（P=0.051, 0.824,respectively）.· CONCLUSION： In eyes with BRVO, CMT and MCT values are greater than the fellow eyes, and decrease significantly following ranibizumab injection.

Physical and Mechanical Properties of PP Composites based on Different Types of Lignocellulosic Fillers

The presents preparation and characterization of different types of lignocellulosic fillers(pine wood sawdust/walnut shell flour/black rice husk powder) reinforced polypropylene composites were presented. The effect of MAPP as coupling agent(4 wt%) on the physical and mechanical properties was also investigated. Polypropylene composites were prepared at different rates of filler/matrix(wt%) by using extrusion(for melt blending) and hot compression molding process. Maximum values of tensile and flexural strength were obtained as 26.1 and 43.4 MPa, respectively, whereas the elongation at break value was 4.11% at 10% pine wood sawdust reinforced PP. Tensile and flexural modulus of composites reached the maximum values as 3855 and 3633 MPa with the composite of 30% walnut shell flour reinforced PP. Characterization of composites was carried out by using tensile test, flexural test, FT-IR, and SEM.

Fruit yield, yield components, fruit mineral content, total phenolic content, antioxidant activity and irrigation water use efifciency （IWUE） of summer squash responses to different irrigation quantities were evaluated with a ifeld study. Irrigations were done when the total evaporated water from a Class A pan was about 30 mm. Different irrigation quantities were adjusted using three different plant-pan coefifcients （Kcp, 100% （Kcp1）, 85% （Kcp2） and 70% （Kcp3））. Results indicated that lower irrigation quantities provided statistically lower yield and yield components. The highest seasonal fruit yield （80.0 t ha-1） was determined in the Kcp1 treatment, which applied the highest volume of irrigation water （452.9 mm）. The highest early fruit yield, average fruit weight and fruit diameter, length and number per plant were also determined in the Kcp1 treatment, with values of 7.25 t ha-1, 264.1 g, 5.49 cm, 19.95 cm and 10.92, respectively. Although the IWUE value was the highest in the Kcp1 treatment （176.6 kg ha-1 mm-1）, it was statistically similar to the value for Kcp3 treatment （157.1 kg ha-1 mm-1）. Total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of fruits was higher in the Kcp1 （44.27 μg gallic acid equivalents （GAE） mg-1 fresh sample） and in the Kcp2 （84.75%） treatments, respectively. Major （Na, N, P, K, Ca, Mg and S） and trace （Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn and B） mineral contents of squash fruits were the highest in the Kcp2 treatment, with the exception of P, Ca and Cu. Mineral contents and total phenolic content were signiifcantly affected by irrigation quantities, but antioxidant activity was not affected. It can be concluded that the Kcp1 treatment was the most suitable for achieving higher yield and IWUE. However, the Kcp2 treatment will be the most suitable due to the high fruit quality and relatively high yield in water shortage conditions.

Investigation of isotope composition of nuclear fragments with angular momentum and Coulomb effects in peripheral ^(84)Kr+ ^(112,124)Sn collisons at 35 A MeV

New theoretical calculations are performed to investigate the Coulomb proximity and angular momentum effects on multifragmentation picture for84Kr+112,124 Sn collisions at an incident beam energy of 35 Me V/*** and isotopic distributions and the mean neutron-to-proton ratios of the fragments are reproduced within the microcanonical Markov chain calculations on the basis of Statistical Multifragmentation Model. It is shown that the Coulomb interactions and angular momentum effects are very important to reproduce isotopic composition of nuclear fragments in peripheral heavy-ion collisions at Fermi energies. Our results imply that it is possible to investigate in laboratories the modification of structure parameters of fragments, such as the symmetry energy coefficient, at subnuclear densities in dense environment of other species.
