Identity-Based Proxy Re-Encryption (IB-PRE) allows a semi-trusted proxy to convert the ciphertext encrypted under Alice’s identity into Bob’s ciphertext of the same message without leaking plaintext. Lattice-based cryptography enjoys potential resistance to quantum analysis and low computational complexity. A multi-hop and unidirectional IB-PRE from lattices is presented. We split the functions of decryption and ciphertext transformation separately, and design the double private keys mechanism, where two keys are generated for each user, one key is used to decrypt the ciphertext by Pre-Image Sampling technique, and the other is used to generate the re-encryption key by Bonsai Trees technique. The generation of the re-encryption key is non-interactive and collusion resistant. Moreover, its IND-sID-CPA security over the decisional Learning With Errors (LWE) assumption under the standard model is proved. Compared with some previous IBPRE schemes from Bilinear Pairings, the format of transformed ciphertext in our scheme remains unchanged, furthermore, it can also resist quantum analysis. Compared with some existing IB-PRE schemes from lattices with similar properties, the space of the message in our scheme is a vector of length l and the encryption process remains a lower encryption blowup factor. At last, a proof-of-concept implementation is provided.

The Internet of Things(IoT)provides new opportunities for different IoT platforms connecting various devices together.The need to identify those devices is the foremost important to perform any kind of operation.Many organizations and standard bodies that provide specifications and frameworks for the IoT currently have their own identification mechanisms.Some existing industrial identification mechanisms can also be used in the IoT.There is no common Identification Scheme(IS)for the IoT as yet,because of the political and commercial differences amongst the standard bodies.The unavailability of a unified IS method makes the inter-working among IoT platforms challenging.This paper analyses and compares ISs used by several selected IoT platforms.This work will help in understanding the need for a common identification mechanism to provide inter-working among different IoT platforms.

Community search is an important problem in network analysis,which has attracted much attention in recent years.As a query-oriented variant of community detection problem,community search starts with some given nodes,pays more attention to local network structures,and gets personalized resultant communities quickly.The existing community search method typically returns a single target community containing query nodes by default.This is a strict requirement and does not allow much flexibility.In many realworld applications,however,query nodes are expected to be located in multiple communities with different semantics.To address this limitation of existing methods,an efficient spectral-based Multi-Scale Community Search method(MSCS)is proposed,which can simultaneously identify the multi-scale target local communities to which query node belong.In MSCS,each node is equipped with a graph Fourier multiplier operator.The access of the graph Fourier multiplier operator helps nodes to obtain feature representations at various community scales.In addition,an efficient algorithm is proposed for avoiding the large number of matrix operations due to spectral methods.Comprehensive experimental evaluations on a variety of real-world datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

The issue of physical layer security of the wireless single-input multiple-output(SIMO) system is addressed in this paper. We propose a two-step transmission scheme with artificial noise to improve the security and the scheme does not require the channel state information of the eavesdropper. In the first step, the destination which has multiple antennas generates a random reference symbol and artificial noise and transmits them in the direction of the source and its orthogonal space, respectively. The reference symbol is received by the source without being polluted by the artificial noise, while it is jammed by the artificial noise for the eavesdropper. In the second step, the symbol of the source is multiplied by the received reference symbol and then transmitted. Finally, the destination can directly estimate the symbol of the source using the reference symbol. However, the eavesdropper needs to additionally estimate the reference symbol for demodulating the symbol of the source, which usually obtains an inaccurate result due to the artificial noise. The informationtheoretic security of our scheme is analyzed and a lower bound of the achievable secrecy rate is derived. The performance of the new scheme is compared with that of the traditional approach under different input signals through numerical simulations. The results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the traditional SIMO approach especially in the high SNR region.

Evacuation signs are a key factor in the effectiveness of occupants'urgent escape from buildings.Different sign features may have disparate impacts on individual and crowd behavior.This study aims to quantitatively inves-tigate the effectiveness of building evacuation signs with different features during pedestrian evacuation using eye-tracking devices.Ten experiments were conducted in a building in T-junction scenarios,and four sets of features related to evacuation signs(color,position,graphics,and flashing)were considered.SMI BeGaze was used to analyze the eye movements of the occupants.The fixation duration of the evacuees and the ratio of signs detected and followed were quantitatively derived and compared for each experiment.The results show that it is easier for evacuees to detect signs at a low sightline,and signs posted at that level of sight can provide better guidance.When signs are posted high up,red signs are easier to detect than green signs.Most evacuees prefer to follow the evacuation signs once they detect them;however,there is no significant difference in the effect of what is posted on the evacuation signs,such as a running man or an arrow.Conversely,flashing of signs is highly helpful in influencing evacuees'behavior,but flashing is not helpful in detecting signs.More importantly,red signs with a running man graphic located in a low position have the best guiding effects on evacuees.The fixa-tion behaviors of evacuees vary according to sign features,particularly in regard to flashing and color.Evacuees stare longer at twinkling signs.Differences in the colors and positions of signs result in significantly different perceptual behaviors among evacuees.Our findings are useful for building designers and provide guidance for developing effective evacuation strategies.

Side-channel attacks have recently progressed into software-induced attacks.In particular,a rowhammer attack,which exploits the characteristics of dynamic random access memory(DRAM),can quickly and continuously access the cells as the cell density of DRAM increases,thereby generating a disturbance error affecting the neighboring cells,resulting in bit flips.Although a rowhammer attack is a highly sophisticated attack in which disturbance errors are deliberately generated into data bits,it has been reported that it can be exploited on various platforms such as mobile devices,web browsers,and virtual machines.Furthermore,there have been studies on bypassing the defense measures of DRAM manufacturers and the like to respond to rowhammer attacks.A rowhammer attack can control user access and compromise the integrity of sensitive data with attacks such as a privilege escalation and an alteration of the encryption keys.In an attempt to mitigate a rowhammer attack,various hardware-and software-based mitigation techniques are being studied,but there are limitations in that the research methods do not detect the rowhammer attack in advance,causing overhead or degradation of the system performance.Therefore,in this study,a rowhammer attack detection technique is proposed by extracting common features of rowhammer attack files through a static analysis of rowhammer attack codes.

This paper studies the design of the optimal and online cross-layer transmission and energy schedulings for a full-duplex energy harvesting wireless orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) joint transmissions. Supported by today’s power management integrated circuit, the full-duplex energy harvesting system becomes a reality, which can overcome the transmission time loss problem caused by the half-duplex constraint of the energy storage unit(ESU) in the serial Harvest-Store-Use system. However, its corresponding modeling is still unexplored. Therefore, the full-duplex energy harvesting system is first modeled and proved to be equivalent to a composition of energy behavior models of Harvest-Store-Use in fine-time granularity. Then, the convex optimization problem of cross-layer transmission and energy scheduling is formulated with the objective to maximize the sum of transmission throughput during successively multiple time units, which takes into account the temporal variance of energy harvesting rates and channel states, and the limited capacity of ESUs.The optimal power allocation with three dimensions of time, channel and antenna is solved by utilizing the dual decomposition method with the pre-known temporal variance, and the corresponding result of the system throughput provides the theoretical upper bound. Finally, to reduce the throughput degradation caused by channel state prediction errors, a non-convex online scheduling problem is formulated as the classical energy efficiency format. It is transformed into a convex optimization problem by exploiting the properties of fractional programming, and then, an efficiently iterative solution is designed. Numerical results show that the average throughput of the online algorithm is 24% greater than that of existing time-energy adaptive water-filling algorithm. The degradation of the average throughput is less than 19% with probability 90%, even as the channel prediction error reaches 20%. These results provide guidelines for the design and optimization

The output feedback model predictive control(MPC),for a linear parameter varying(LPV) process system including unmeasurable model parameters and disturbance(all lying in known polytopes),is considered.Some previously developed tools,including the norm-bounding technique for relaxing the disturbance-related constraint handling,the dynamic output feedback law,the notion of quadratic boundedness for specifying the closed-loop stability,and the ellipsoidal state estimation error bound for guaranteeing the recursive feasibility,are merged in the control design.Some previous approaches are shown to be the special cases.An example of continuous stirred tank reactor(CSTR) is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.
