This research aimed to know the influence of liquid organic fertilizer and planting space to the growth and yield of rice in System of Rice Intensification （SRI） methods. The research was conducted in Palur, Sukoharjo, laid on 98 m above sea level from December 2008 to April 2009. Experimental design used was Randomized Completely Block Design with two factors of treatment. The first factor was liquid organic fertilizer; consist of control, cebreng leaf, rumen of goat, banana tree hump, and maja fruit. The second factor was planting space; consisting of 25 cm × 25 cm, 30 cm ×30 cm and 35 cm× 35 cm. There were 15 combinations of treatment and each repeated three times. Data analyzed with F test at 5% and DMRT at 5%. Research result showed that liquid organic fertilizer of maja fruit serves the best on variable of stalk length. Planting space of 35 cm × 35 cm serves the best on variable of plant height, number of total sapling, number of productive sapling, weight of dry plant, weight of rice per clump, and weight of 1,000 rice grains. There is no interaction between liquid organic fertilizer and planting space on all variables.

Polymorphism in two types of Cereus peruvianus, short and long spines clones, and its F1 hybrids cultivated in Indonesia were detected by RAPD （Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA） markers. High amount of mucilage （gelling polysaccharides） present in C. peruvianus was a major obstacle in isolating good quality genomic DNA. To obtain good quality DNA, the CTAB （Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Bromide） methode was modified. Out of 17 primers were used, and two primers OPN-05 and OPM-10 have specific loci, OPN-05550, OPN-05800 and OPM-10650, linked with spines types in parents clones. Those can be used as molecular marker for spines type. Seventeen primers were used generated 113 loci, of which 65 loci were polymorphic in parental clones and 132 loci, of which 93 loci were polymorphic in F1 plants. Dendrogram generated by Jaccard coefficient showed that parents＇ clones had lower genetic diversity than F1 plants. At 72% similarity, all of long or short spine parent clones grouped in one cluster according to its size of spines. At that time F1 plants were separately grouped. None ofF1 hybrid plants grouped with its common female parents.

Now molecular epidemiology was meaningful. On the surface of the tumor, cells will express its antigen specific as a tumor cell (example: TSA, tumor specific antigen) and can induce cellular immune response. The result of interactions between group antigens with the immune system cells of the body will cause a rise in the expression of lymphocytes CD8+. The aim of this research is to find out differences in the number of lymphocytes CD8+ expression between benign and malignant tissues. This research is a laboratory experiment with the approach of cross sectional. Samples are taken from benign and malignant tissue biopsy of the breast and cervical uterine that were got from anatomical pathology laboratory, period January to February 2004. A technique using random sampling, is sample acquiring 30 benign cancer and 30 malignant of the breast or cervical uterine. To find out the significance of the difference in the number of lymphocytes CD8+ between benign and malignant of breast or cervical uterine, we used a statistical analysis Anova in SPSS for Windows 15.0 program. In this research the number of lymphocytes average in the benign cancer is 2.9667 cells (breast) and 4.2667 cells (cervical uterine), on the other side malignant tissue of 23.8000 cells (breast) and 25.0333 cells (cervical uterine). From the statistical analyses with Anova the number of lymphocytes CD8+ was very significant differences between benign and malignant of the breast or cervical uterine tissue (p < 0.001). The conclusion of this research is that there is a significant increase of the number of lymphocytes CD8+ expression in cancer tissue.

Study of Viability and Seed Structure of Shallot

In Indonesia, shallot cultivation finds difficulties to produce high viability seed. That low viability is caused by the abnormality of seed＇s structure. Normal shallot seeds have seed structure that consists of： testa, endosperm, and embryo. Normal embryo has curved shape which it has one cotyledon in endosperm. This research purpose is to find shallot viability and structure that is cultivated in tropic area, especially in Indonesia. This research is a deep observation research about water level, seeds viability and seeds structure monitoring by using microscope. To make a clearance about seeds structure composition, seeds are mixed with tetrazolium salt. Monitoring result shows that seed water level at harvest time is 18%, laid away at one month age is 13%, two months age is 12% and three months age is 10%. Seed viability at harvest until twenty nine days, seed that is germinated around 8%. At two months viability seed laid age until twenty two days is 36.6%. Meanwhile three months age laid viability test is done with germination boost compounding shows that IAA is able to fasten germination. At IAA treatment viability seeds are 17.25% that is followed with GA3 treatment around 13%. Another boosting substance that it＇s viability is only below 4%. Low viability is also proved by the seed structure. The result shows that mostly, the seeds has abnormal structure.

Ocean thermal energy conversion(OTEC)is a process of generating electricity by exploiting the temperature difference between warm surface seawater and cold deep *** to the high static and dynamic pressures that are caused by seawater circulation,the stiffened panel that constitutes a seawater tank may undergo a reduction in ultimate *** current paper investigates the design of stiffening systems for OTEC seawater tanks by examining the effects of stiffening parameters such as stiffener sizes and span-over-bay ratio for the applied combined loadings of lateral and transverse pressure by fluid motion and axial compression due to global bending *** ultimate strength calculation was conducted by using the non-linear finite element method via the commercial software known as *** stress and deformation distribution due to pressure loads was computed in the first step and then brought to the second step,in which the axial compression was *** effects of pressure on the ultimate strength of the stiffener were investigated for representative stiffened panels,and the significance of the stiffener parameters was assessed by using the sensitivity analysis *** a result,the ultimate strength was reduced by approximately 1.5%for the span-over-bay ratio of 3 and by 7%for the span-over-bay ratio of 6.

The rapid spread of COVID-19 pandemic has forced several countries in the world to store vaccines in cold storage towards ensuring their protection from being damaged and to maintain their ***,most remote clinics,especially those in the equator and islands,are faced with the challenges of hot climates and the inability to afford electricity resources needed to power the cold storage ***,the hot equatorial region has abundant solar energy to power the vaccine cold storage but previous studies showed that several field workers do not have the ability to maintain the vaccine storage temperature as indicated by the manufacturer’s ***,this literature review study examines the prospects and challenges of implementing solar-powered cold storage to provide cooling space for remote *** is expected to contribute significantly to cold chain vaccine management *** findings showed that four technology integration schemes including Cold Storage Ice Maker,Cold Storage Ice Maker-PCM,Refrigerator-Ice Maker and,Absorbing Cooling-PV-Ice Maker have the potential to be applied in clinics situated in certain tropical regions.

The aim of this research is to extract information from married female clients who utilize financing,empowering,and other facilities provided by Microfinance Institutions(MFIs).Quantitative descriptive approach is used in order to describe ***,the difference between MFIs in each area will be overviewed by using statistical instruments of testing for a difference between means and independent *** the other hand,descriptive qualitative approach is used to review the social interactions of female *** results of this research have uncovered some ***,however,Difference-Between-Two-Means Test has revealed that no significant difference is *** shows that the empowering aspect that has been done by MFIs conforms with the ***,the fact that no significant difference is found in the empowering process has been backed by data that reveals relatively small loans scale,similarity in business models,unvaried necessity,relatively small expenditure and living cost,low access to education,and good accessibility to ***,business models that are desirable by female clients have these characteristics:only requiring a minimum amount of capital;durable;fast-moving;focusing more on costumers;adaptable;contributing to the socieW's economy;flexible;having a set amount of freedom.

Visible Light Photoelectrocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B Using Ti/TiO2-NiO Photoanode

The method of Ti/TiO2-NiO photoelectrode prepared by using sol-gel method continued by calcination process was introduced. The prepared TiO2-NiO film was observed with XRD and TEM. The anatase-rutile TiO2 was mainly on the prepared TiO2-NiO composite surface electrode. In addition to NiO, the composite also formed NiTiO3 that increased with increasing calcination temperature. Photoelectrocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RB) using this electrode was investigated, and anodic potential and pH were optimized. RB degradation was investigated under different conditions, and it showed that photoelectrocatalytic degradation could achieve efficient and complete mineralization of organic pollutant. Through comparison of the photoelectrocatalytic oxidation using the Ti/TiO2-NiO electrode operated by single photoanode with the Ti/TiO2-NiO electrode operated by several photoanode, it was found that the photoelectrocatalytic efficiency of that by series photoanodes was higher. Additionally, photoelectrocatalytic system was performed at the several different photoelectrodes, which verified the higher photocatalytic activity compared with the single photoelectrode.

The impact attenuator is an essential system in both race cars and urban *** structure of animpact attenuator serves as a safety barrier between the impacted surface and the driver in an *** materials tend to have a high price;thus,alternative materials were explored in the currentwork,i.e.,used cans from food and beverage *** study deployed a nonlinear finite elementalgorithm to calculate a series of impacts on the attenuator *** thickness of the cans andvelocity of the impact were considered as the main *** results concluded that the at-tenuator’s average energy was 16000 J for a can thickness of 1 *** value is more than two times the0.5 mm thick used *** attenuator’s new design was then matched with an attenuator regulation,and the results surpassed the standard value of 7350 J.
