PandaX is a large liquid-xenon detector experiment usable for direct dark-matter detection and 136Xe double-beta decay *** central vessel was designed to accommodate a staged target volume increase from initially 120 kg(stage I)to 0.5 t(stage II)and eventually to a multi-ton *** experiment is located in the Jinping Deep-Underground Laboratory in Sichuan,*** detector operates in dual-phase mode,allowing detection of both prompt scintillation,and ionization charge through proportional *** this paper a detailed description of the stage I detector design and performance as well as results established during the commissioning phase are presented.

We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground *** the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was *** result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental *** minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.

为合理评估煤层气、致密气资产价值,本文基于R3评估软件,以沁水盆地潘河、寿阳南燕竹煤层气区块、临兴中致密气区块为案例,对不同类型的煤层气藏、致密气藏上市储量评估提出了相应的评估思路和方法。研究结果表明:煤层气、致密气藏SEC储量评估主要包含三大步骤:一是确定储量级别,二是计算单井技术可采储量,三是经济评价。煤层气藏的评估主要采用动态法、静态法及概率法;致密气藏的评估主要采用动态法和概率法。

The focus of environmental regulations has changed significantly since the introduction of the bioassay as a standard means of assessing environmental *** in this change is an increasing emphasis on protecting the integrity of natural ecosystems,which incorporate community-and system-level properties as well as organismal and population ***,support for the use of multispecies testing has widened to include not only ecologists in academia but environmental scientists in the regulatory and industrial sector as *** reason for this trend is clear:the additional environmental realism gained from tests utilizing communities of organisms allows for greater insight into the potential hazard of chemicals and other forms of human activity to natural ecosystems that cannot be obtained from single species tests *** of the problems cited for multispecies testing early in their evolution as a hazard assessment tool have been refuted or *** particular,the use of natural microbial communities minimizes several shortcomings typically associated with multispecies toxicity *** discussion includes the utility of microcosm and mesocosm tests using aquatic microbial communities as hazard assessment tools in conjunction with accumulating information on their performance in toxicity testing *** increasing body of experimental evidence supports an expansion in the use of these tests for a variety of regulatory and research purposes.A shift in research focus is needed,however,to answer remaining questions and further refine standard protocols for these valuable ecotoxicological tools.

Bisarylmaleimides & the Corresponding Indolocarbazoles as Kinase Inhibitors

Cyclin dependent kinases (CDKs) have recently raised considerable attention because of their central role in the regulation of cell cycle progression. A high incidence of genetic mutation of CDK substrates and deregulaton of CDK modulators were found in a number of disease states,particularly in cancer. A novel series of unsymmetrical substituted indolocarbazoles were synthesized and their kinase inhibitory capability was evaluated in vitro. 6-Substtuted indolocarbazoles were found to be highly potent and selective D1/CDK4 inhibitors. These indolocarbazoles exhibited ATP competitive D1/CDK4 activity and inhibited tumor cell growth,arrested tumor cell at G1 phase. These molecules demonstrated potent anti-tumor activity and inhibited pRb phosphorylation at S780 in the human lung carcinoma (Calu6) and non-small cell lung carcinoma (NCI-H460) xenograft models. The results indicate that these small molecules have potential as therapeutic agents in cancer chemotherapeutc agents.
